Tucked away along a private driveway marked by a wall mural, your retreat sits among banana, avocado, and other tropical fruit trees.

Here, nature is part of the experience.

Enjoy your morning coffee while overlooking the greenery, relax on the covered porch as the sun sets, or spend an evening beneath the stars listening to the unmistakable sounds of Puerto Rico’s countryside.

Depending on the season, guests may enjoy freshly grown passion fruit, avocados, bananas, plantains , and or fresh eggs directly from the property.

Our expansive yard provides an opportunity to experience the tropical surroundings, observe local wildlife, and appreciate a slower, more peaceful way of life.

This is not a conventional hotel or luxury resort. It is an authentic island experience designed for travelers who appreciate nature, simplicity, and the beauty of the countryside.

Casa Campo Arenales is a cozy, thoughtfully arranged two-bedroom container home with accommodations for up to five guests.

Sleeping arrangements:

● Second bedroom with a bunk bed and ceiling and floor fan

● Compact living area connecting the bedrooms

One of the most distinctive features of Casa Campo Arenales is our commitment to sustainable living.

Our home operates entirely on solar power, allowing guests to experience a more environmentally conscious approach to island accommodations.

Because we operate off-grid, thoughtful energy use is essential.

Air conditioning is provided in the primary bedroom only. The second bedroom and common areas rely on ceiling fans and natural ventilation.

Guests are asked to turn off the air conditioning when leaving, keep doors and windows closed while it is running, and follow the property’s energy conservation guidelines.

A water reserve is also available on the property.

Our solar-powered setup is part of the experience, and we appreciate guests who embrace responsible energy use.

Jobos Beach: Experience one of Isabela’s popular coastal destinations, known for its beautiful scenery, surf culture, and beachfront restaurants.

Montones Beach: Enjoy the stunning coastline and inviting tropical atmosphere.

Crash Boat Beach: Discover one of Aguadilla’s most recognizable beaches, famous for its turquoise waters and colorful pier.

Gozalandia Waterfalls: Venture into the lush landscape of San Sebastián and experience one of the region’s beautiful natural attractions.

Guajataca: Explore scenic landscapes, coastal views, and a glimpse of Puerto Rico’s natural beauty.

Depending on your destination, many of these attractions are approximately 15–30 minutes away by car.

For a more authentic cultural experience, explore the local town squares, neighborhood eateries, bakeries, and community activities. Friday evening salsa lessons at the town square are one of the local experiences guests may enjoy when available.

Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla is approximately 20–25 minutes away.

We strongly recommend renting a vehicle, as taxis and rideshare services are less readily available in this part of Puerto Rico.

Important Things to Know Before Booking

We believe a wonderful vacation begins with clear expectations.

Authentic countryside setting: Casa Campo Arenales is surrounded by tropical vegetation and wildlife. Guests may encounter roosters, chickens, lizards, insects, frogs, and other animals commonly found in rural Puerto Rico. Roosters may begin crowing early in the morning.

Hosts live on the property: Your accommodations are separate from the hosts’ main residence, but the expansive outdoor grounds are shared with our family. We are nearby if assistance is needed while respecting your space.

Compact accommodations: As a converted container home, bedrooms and interior spaces are smaller than those found in a conventional house.

Solar-powered property: Responsible electricity use is required. Air conditioning is available only in the primary bedroom, and excessive energy consumption may affect the available power supply.

Tropical environment: We perform routine pest control and cleaning, but occasional insects and wildlife are a natural part of countryside living. Guests are asked to keep food properly stored, clean spills promptly, and remove trash daily.

Hot water: The off-grid hot-water system operates at a fixed setting.

Transportation: A rental vehicle is highly recommended for exploring the area and reaching nearby attractions.

Our goal is to provide an enjoyable, comfortable stay while preserving the authentic nature of our countryside retreat.
