Summary:
This listing is for our Beachfront Apartment with three bedrooms and two bathrooms in Haudimar Beach Apartments at Jobos Beach, Isabela. This Apartment is a corner unit on the first floor that offers a breathtaking view of the ocean and garden (as shown in the listing photos). This apartment stands out from others because of its privileged waterfront location. The apartment accommodates up to 7 guests comfortably.

The Space:
The condominium has a swimming pool, basketball court, and direct access to the beach. Enjoy a wonderful stay in our beloved Isabela, where the people are friendly, the beaches are crystal clear, and the food is exquisite. Families will be able to enjoy the beautiful nature of the northwest area of the Island. In the beach area, you will find the bicycle path where you ride a bicycle or rent an electric scooter and cruise along the different beaches. And also, nearby, there is horseback riding by the beach, snorkeling, scuba diving, surf lessons, and other fun activities under the sun. Also, in the next town, Aguadilla, you will find “Las Cascadas Water Park.” In San Sebastian, you will enjoy“Gozalandia Waterfalls.” For nighttime fun, there are multiple bars and restaurants. Surfers can find beaches with diverse levels of difficulty: Jobos, Middles, Secret Spot, Wilderness, and Surfers Beach, among others.

The Neighborhood:
The property is located in the North West part of Puerto Rico. This area have little traffic, it is quiet and safe. The residents of this area speak Spanish and most also speak English. There are restaurants and bars on a walking distance to property. For anything else we recommend a rental car. This is a small Island and it is easy to get around.

Getting Around:
There is no public transportation. Driving around is easy, all places of interest are marked on the GPS.

Other Things to Note:
DISCLOSURE

Beach life: Living on the Beach is a beautiful experience, different from what you can find in the countryside or city. This property is on the Northwest Coast of the Island of Puerto Rico, where a constant breeze comes from the ocean to the land at speeds of 10-20 miles per hour. This wind contains a high concentration of salt and fine sand. As a result of these weather conditions, you can expect to find sticky surfaces, slippery floors, stained window glass, traces of moisture or salt in the fans or air conditioners, and any other slippery or moist surfaces. Traces of rust in appliances and other metal components are also typical. We clean this property after check-out. We also do a quick inspection and retouch surfaces if needed before guests arrive; however, it is impossible to maintain the areas spotless because of this weather. These conditions vary by location of the property and by position within the apartment complex. If you book multiple apartments on the same property, you may experience different scenarios.

Local Beaches: Puerto Rico has a great diversity of beaches. Beaches on the North and East side of the Island are often wavy. The South and west coasts stay calm most of the year. The Beach in front of the Complex is unsuitable for swimming, but when the conditions are right, you may find a shallow pond between the reef and the shore. The nearest area with a sandy beach will be Jobos Beach, located 2/3 of a mile east of the Complex. You can walk right from your Apartment. At 1.5 miles to the west, you can find Shacks Beach. This Beach is great for snorkeling. Always be cautious when entering a body of water. Be aware of the swell conditions and stay away from the Beach if the waves are big. Within a 5-minute drive from the Apartment, there are two beach ponds with calm water: Montones’ and Teodoro. Another must-see Beach is Crash Boat Beach, which is 20 minutes away.

Note about bugs: Puerto Rico is a Tropical Island with a great diversity of bugs. We spray our apartments every month, but there is a high possibility that you will run into bugs on the property, especially during nighttime. Changes in the weather, like rain or temperature, can also make bugs enter the Apartment. Bug encounters may vary from one property to another, but it is unpredictable.

Note about wildlife: Puerto Rico has no dangerous species; however, you can run into Iguanas, rodents, and even stray dogs or cats. If you do run into any wild or stray animals, do not pet them or feed them. They may not be friendly.

Storm / Hurricane season: The official hurricane season in Puerto Rico is from June 1st to November 30th. We strongly suggest that all future guests get travel insurance, especially during hurricane season. We will not offer last-minute refunds due to storms or rain unless it is a big event that affects the Island utilities. We could make an exception if the power and water supply are interrupted for over 24 hours.

Utilities (water and electricity) in Puerto Rico are reasonably stable; however, we can have some isolated interruptions during the year. We will consider offering a refund if the interruption lasts over 24 hours. A 25% discount will be applied to the nightly rate of each night spent without a utility. The discount will be prorated by the hours affected. We will not provide any refunds or discounts for internet-related issues.

Swimming Pool: Your rental does not guarantee the use of the Swimming Pool. The pool is often open during pool hours, but sometimes it needs extra care. If the pool is closed for maintenance or other reason, please be kind to the Condominium’s staff. You may ask them when it will reopen, and they’ll provide any available information. There will be no discount if you cannot use the pool during your stay.

The boardwalk in front of the Complex is no longer available. The Beach is accessible through the wood bridge in the center of what was the boardwalk. Currently, the tennis court is not in service.

All the units that we manage have different owners. We provide the units fully equipped. Items such as towels, pots, and pans, among others, must be returned to the Apartment to which it belongs. Please note that other hosts rent apartments in this Condominium, and we will not likely receive our missing items back.

Please take good care of the property. We put lots of effort and money into providing an excellent experience for our guests. We understand the difference between normal wear and tear and property damage. Makeup stains or any other permanent stain are not considered normal wear and tear. We will charge the guests the replacement cost of damaged or missing goods such as towels, furniture, decoration, kitchenware, or any other lost or damaged component.

The cleaning fee does not include the following services:
• Trash disposal ($10.00 charge)
• Washing the dishes ($20.00 charge)

Interaction with Guests:
I'm always looking forward to offer the best vacation rentals to my guests. We do a double inspection of the unit before your arrival, however if anything needs attention please contact my assistant that's in charge of the apartments' maintenance. His info will be provided in the check in message. Our service hours are: Monday to Saturday 9am to 4pm.
If there is an emergency you can contact us anytime. Emergencies are defined as:

Locked out of the apartment
Anything that represents a hazard to you or the property
For Security issues or if there is another car in your parking spot, contact the guard at the gate
For other Emergencies call 911

Isabela Beachfront Getaway

My family loved the apartment. We could walk 50 steps and we were on the beach. It was wonderful to wake up with the sound of the waves. The property was also within 10 minutes of many terrific restaurants and beaches. Highly recommend!

Perfect Location

We loved this place! It was perfect for our family. We woke up each morning and walked along the beach. Then later we'd walk down to Jobos Beach and stay all afternoon. The atmosphere is amazing. I highly recomend.

Wonderful time

Isabela is a great town. There are many places to eat, wonderful beaches and you can visit other towns (West side of the island). The apartment was very clean, comfortable beds, kitchen appliances--and it was located in a good area. We did enjoy our stay. We will rent this apt again. Thank you for sharing your place.

Return visit

We love the property and the area. We come once a year. The apartment had hot water in 1 of the 2 showers. The apartment needed basic up keep. The shower drains, towel racks, etc were broken or non functioning. We love the property however this unit was needs some tlc. We will come back and stay here again. Hope this focuses the owners on this unit. Matthew

Great stay near Jobos Beach

We had a really great stay at this property. It was clean and conveniently located. Jobos Beach is about a minute drive away, or you can walk along the beach there in about 15 minutes. We did have a problem with the WiFi not connecting at first but Arnaldo was very quick to get it fixed so it was not a big deal (internet can be a little spotty in Puerto Rico to begin with). The food truck spot right on the main road was really convenient to grab a quick bite if needed. Arnaldo was a great host and very helpful. Definitely would stay here again!

Relaxing time!

Beautiful and pristine location with incredible ocean views ! The pics are incredibly accurate, what you see, is what you get! It is fairly isolated so you will need a car to go on any excursions. The building itself is in need of repairs and upgrades as cracks and structure damage is obvious.

Bug infested and dirty

It seems like the unit was unkept. It was dirty, the sheets were stained, old mattress with a hole, floors dirty and bug infested. Had to request housekeeping and exterminator who was not available so housekeeper sprayed the unit instead.

Great location, but apartment unit needs some updating and better cleaning

Location was great, you can walk out of the unit right to the beach, and plenty of places to eat/drink within a 5 minute drive ... but unit needs some updating and a better cleaning (guest bathroom was not clean when we arrived; fridge was equally not clean; some surfaces (counter, tables) were sticky). Unit could use some new light fixtures and/or ceiling; closet space unavailable (locked) in one guest room, while limited to half in master room.

Rundown and roach infested

This is our fourth year renting from Arnold. I have family in the area and we love staying at Haudimar for the location, security, pool, and beach access. Usually the condos are fantastic. Unfortunately this year was a complete disappointment. The condo was rundown; very different from the pictures; very little attention to detail. The kitchen was gross. The cabinets were particle board and swollen and falling apart. There is effectively no dryer because it is a top loader dryer stacked on plywood on top of a regular washer. There is no way to use the dryer without climbing a ladder. There was no broom. The toilet in the master bedroom isn’t secured to the ground and moves around at the slightest touch. The a/c in the master bedroom leaked all over the ground on our first night there. The a/c in the front room also had a bucket under it and was also leaking. But those things alone are forgiveable given the amazing location. THE absolutely disgusting thing is that there is a roach infestation in the condo. There are roaches of all sizes coming from the kitchen. We killed more than THREE DOZEN roaches during our stay. There were 2-3 that made their way into the hallway and front bedroom. All the rest were in the kitchen and dining area. When we told Arnold he gave excuses about being on a tropical island/on a first floor/and bugs coming in after rain. But I’ve lived in Puerto Rico and Texas most of my life - these were not outdoor roaches. There is a roach infestation in this unit. Each day, Arnold reassured me that he would send someone to stay so we had a false sense of security that the problem would be addressed. Unfortunately, it was not resolved. I cannot tell you how disappointed we were. Renter beware! I would be very cautious if renting from Arnold until he addresses these issues adequately or at least go into it with eyes wide open about what you’ll get.
