Relax and unwind at this quiet and secluded getaway. Located in beautiful Arcadia Valley, just minutes from the city of Ironton. You are a short drive to numerous attractions including Taum Sauk, Johnson Shut-Ins, Elephant Rocks and Shepherd Mt Bike Park. The cabin can comfortably sleep up to six and is nestled in 48 wooded acres. Multiple outdoor recreational spaces on the property!

We had a great stay at this beautiful and cozy home. It had everything we needed, they really thought of everything. Very clean. The outdoors around it were majestic. Perfect place to relax!

What you see is not what you get. Guests considering this property should be aware many amenities shown may not be available to you. The wood-burning stove is not available to guests, the wood-burning fire pit was not available to us, the gas fire pit was not available to us, and the grill was not available to us. The unit is remodeled very well and was clean, but unfortunately the smell of rotten eggs filled the room when you washed your hands or took a shower. Guests should also be aware you will be dealing with multiple individuals on the hosting side. This causes a lot of confusion if there are issues, and some of the hosts don’t seem interested in providing a quality experience.This is a high price point for this area, and I’m not sure the experience is equivalent.

This place is comfortable and impeccably clean. It’s a nice rental. However, I contacted the host about a problem and never heard back from him. Nothing all weekend. Not even at check-out time. I have never had this happen so would not rent this place again.

Peaceful and beautiful, and so much wildlife! Deer visited every day and a raccoon peered into the living room window one evening. In less than an hour on the deck, we saw pileated woodpecker, eastern bluebird, red-bellied woodpecker, white-breasted nuthatch, dark-eyed junco, carolina wren, and blue jay, and heard barred owl, red-shouldered hawk, cardinal, carolina chickadee, downy woodpecker, white-throated sparrow, and tufted titmouse.The house is organized, clean, and decorated with taste. Its location is perfect for exploring nearby Elephant Rocks State Park and Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park, both of which we loved.

It was a great getaway not far from home. Perfect for a couple needing to take a break from the daily grind. The location was ideal for necessities while still being secluded. The fall colors were epic; we didn’t want to leave, especially after the rain gave us a break. I would recommend to the host or potential guests, to be cognizant of the scents used in the home. I use the same company products (Enviroscent) in my own home but I have to be especially particular about the specific scents I use as I have severe allergy-induced sinus headaches & had to try to hide the smell as soon as we arrived.

We loved our stay at L-Wood Acres. The location was perfect with lots of wildlife and easy access to Elephant Rocks and Johnsons Shut ins. One of the features we enjoyed the most was the fire pit.

Secluded home on a spacious property in the incredibly scenic Arcadia valley. It was very clean and well kept. It is conveniently located within a 30 minute drive to both Elephant Rocks and Johnsons-Shut-Ins State parks. The host's instructions were clear and easy to follow. Our family of five were comfortable and we all had an excellent time! I'd consider booking it again if we're ever back in that area.

Super cute and clean. Perfect for our family of 4. It was in a great proximity to the Johnson Shut Ins and Elephant Rock. We also floated down the Black River. Great place to stay.

Peaceful solitude

The location of the cabin was fantastic! It’s close to some great hiking and the privacy, peace, and quiet were phenomenal. It was so nice sitting on the deck, listening to the birds—very zen. Also loved watching the turtles on the property; had to herd them off the road on our return to the cabin one time, lol! Really good restaurants nearby where you definitely get a great meal for your dollar. The cabin was clean and the grill was the best one we’ve ever used at any house we’ve rented—clean and worked like a charm. We would love to come back to this beautiful area and stay here again.

Wonderful stay

From booking to check-out, it was a wonderful experience. The communication was excellent and I appreciated the quick and helpful responses. Check-in was easy. The home was beautiful and exactly like the photos. Rooms was clean and well-stocked. All furniture and beds were comfortable. Beautiful Fall Weekend

Sanctuary

Absolutely amazing the quiet, beauty, and access to so much nature. If you are looking to unwind I absolutely recommend L-Wood Acres. The home complements the natural beauty with windows and a cozy sunroom. Trails for walking, fire pits on and off the deck. Very close are numerous trails and the incredible Elephant Rocks. Yes a TV and excellent wi fi , Ninja kcup coffee maker, large laundry room, and all the cooking equipment you need. The Iron Mule is a great restaurant- no frills, good prices and food. Grocery store is convenient. One note- not related to the property, is Verizon is not as strong. Bottom line- go and unwind. Breathe. All in a very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable home. Five stars plus!! We will be back!!
