Looking for a place to relax in a quiet private setting in Northern Michigan? This beautifully decorated and accessorized 3 bedroom home is the place for you!!! Fully stocked kitchen with all the amenities you can imagine! Sliders to huge deck with lots of comfortable furniture & gas grill. Large open living area & bedrooms, full walkout basement with second full bath & laundry area. Set in a secluded, wooded area with a large dock to relax on and fire pit right next to the water ! Includes a paddleboat & aluminum fishing boat. A pontoon is available on nearby Big Bass lake, a 300 acre all-sports lake for rent if you like to explore the area. Located on Sauble Lake #1 (on a chain of 4 lakes,all accessable with the fishing boat or paddleboat).

For the Fishing and Canoeing/Kayaking enthusiasts - Just minutes from major West Michigan Rivers: Big & Little Manistee, Pere Marquette, Sauble and Tippy Dam for Steelhead, Salmon and Trout

Or out the backdoor is excellent fishing for bass, blue gill, perch and pike with small boat access to Sauble #2, 3 and 4.

Dublin Grocery store less than 12 miles away (famous for their jerky & fudge, with full hardware & grocery). Just around the corner is the Natahka Corner store (convenience store & gas station), plus dining at Natahka tavern and Blossoms Cafe Or visit Irons Cafe and Jacki's Place located in the town of Irons approximately 8 miles away.

Ludington and Manistee beaches 1/2 hr. away, restaurants and festivals are fantastic summer tourist attractions as well as Ox Market & Flea Roast, Baldwin Troutarama, Irons Cowboy Weekend and Blessing of the Bikes

North country hiking trail access just 5 miles from cottage for mountain biking or hiking. ORV trails and trailhead located on M37.

Nice cabin with a beautiful view of a quiet lake. Very remote and private, totally surrounded by trees. Nice large deck to relax on. My two goldens loved playing in the lake and we had several campfires in the fire ring next to the lake. The fishing was ok, didn't catch many. We enjoyed our week there and would come back again.. The one drawback was there was very little cell service at the cabin or in the area so you need a satellite gps because there was no internet to run google maps. We had 3 different cell providers among us and all were hit and miss. Wifi in the cabin would have been a welcome addition.

Relaxing

This house has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. It’s tucked away in the woods and the lake is great for floating around and fishing. The sweet Fern cafe was very close and had any essential you may have forgotten as well WiFi. We had very little cell service so if you are looking to get away from it all this is a great spot.

Vacation 2025

Location and privacy were exceptional. Our grandkids loved the lake, kayaks and boat were nice. Only two complaints. Even though it was pet friendly and I expected there to be some pet hair, pet hair was everywhere. The comforter and skirt in master bedroom looked like a fur rug. The other complaint was on me that I didn’t pay attention to the fact no AC was listed. It was unseasonably hot for June (mid 90s) but we survived and it cooled off the last few days. Would stay again if there was a window unit for unexpectedly high temps.

Peaceful secluded cottage

Had a very relaxing week at the cottage. The cottage was great. Very clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The water is so calm and clear. My husband caught tons of fish! Our dogs enjoyed the beach and swimming in the water. One of the quietest places we've stayed at. I absolutely loved it.

Great week at a great place

What a location! Quiet and picturesque. Spent most of our time on the beach at the fire pit. Easy access to the Dublin Market and all the fun a great lake and the Manistee National Forest has to offer.

Peaceful and disconnected

The description of the house is spot on. It is very clean and has everything you need to enjoy time away from home. The lake is perfect for kayaks, the row boat and the peddle boat the host has. The fishing was good, we caught two good size Northern's and a few bass. Recommend you check it out. Priced perfectly.

Relaxation and fun awaits at this lovely spacious cottage!

We had four adults, two kids, 10 &16 yr old stay for a week to unplug, relax and make memories. The cottage is spacious and stocked with all you need, just bring your personal items, food drinks etc. It’s a great location for the ORV enthusiasts, close to rivers for kayaking or tubing and a quick easy drive to Ludington for a beach day or trip to Meijer. Fun was had by all, fishing, campfires, a great grill for cookouts, tons of games for game night and movies if you have a rainy evening.

Peace, Quiet and a Golden Who Loved the Lake

We really enjoyed the spacious deck, and the big windows facing the lake. Interestingly, my favorite moment was an evening thunderstorm that I could watch through theose beautiful moments. Wifi was spotty. That was the only thing missing for me.

Loved this cottage!

We love the serenity and abundance of nature activities at the cottage. Swimming was great, fishing was good, and the lake is excellent! We had the most fun we’ve ever had in Michigan! The cottage is lovely and well-equipped to handle all the fun we had. We will be back next year! Thanks for a great time!

Up north experience

House was spacios and clean. Lake is beautiful and fishing is great. I would mention that there 57 steps down to the lake( and 57 back up!). Makes it harder for older or handicapped people. Overall, very nice place to stay.

A little piece of heaven

We loved the serenity and peacefulness of our stay! A true beauty of nature. A bald eagle flew right by us on the dock, diving loons, and nice fishing. The owner is wonderful and has great communication. Very kind and accomodating. A great get away!
