Great Location with Minor SurprisesWe enjoyed our stay at this property overall. The location is excellent—situated in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood that made for a relaxing getaway. Communication with the host was prompt and helpful throughout our stay, and both check-in and check-out were straightforward and hassle-free.The home itself was comfortable with decent decor and a kitchen that had the essentials we needed. The bathroom is quite small, though the space is smartly designed to make the most of what's available.One unexpected aspect of our stay was the deck construction at the back of the property, which began at 7:30 AM. While we understand that maintenance and improvements are necessary, advance notice would have been appreciated so we could plan accordingly.Despite this, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this property to others looking for a quiet retreat in the area.

Beautiful property

Property is in a lovely neighborhood with a great view- walking distance to entire town. Property manager, Ozzy is beyond kind. Everything was nicely decorated and clean. My only advice is if you have an issue with a lot of stairs this may not be for you. Beds and couch are extremely stiff and firm. We loved our stay in Ipswich and did enjoy the property.

Check in confusion

We arrived at the house late…..after 10pm. We found it okay, but after not having a key in the lock box, we realized we were at the wrong property. We were at the address that was in the email from when I booked our stay. The day we arrived, I was sent an email with a different address. I didn’t see the email until I was about to call saying we didn’t have a key. That’s when I saw the email with the address of where we were supposed to be, but didn’t know it. Other than that, everything was fine.

Great location and great experience

We were looking for a nice, simple place to stay in order to spend Thanksgiving weekend with extended family, but still have our own space. This place was perfect. It was clean, quiet, and was just as advertised. The beds were really nice. It was walking distance from the center of tosen, but also out to the marshses and beautiful water views in the other direction. Also, Ozzy was really easy to communicate with and was quick to get back to us when we had questions. There are a bunch of stairs both up to the house, then up to the apartment, which was fine for us, but may not be for everyone.

The property was great, pretty much as described. We had plenty of space for the 4 of us to spread out. We were gone a lot, so didn't really use many of the amenities. If you plan on using the public transit, it's about a 15 min walk to the station. Lots of cute stores and plenty of restaurants within walking distance

Fails to mention their are 35 steps to get into your condo, Beds very uncomfortable !

This was my first time renting on VRBO, I was excited to stay in Ipswich I have lived in Methuen for 30 years and we were coming back to see family. Upon arrival we had to climb 35 steep steps and drag our luggage and groceries up. I could not have my parents or Aunts come over because they could not climb the stairs. The beds were very uncomfortable the bathroom floor feels like you are going to fall through it, and is so small. My husband and I watched a movie and the host called and said it was to loud. Really it was 10:15 pm and not loud at all. When you pay what we did you have certain expectations. These were not met on this trip. In fact we didn't even stay the last night I rented a hotel room so we could get a good nights sleep before we went home.

Good Location & Clean

The apartment is as advertised. It’s an easy drive into Boston, Salem, and surrounding areas. We were also given the wrong lockbox code but looked at our confirmation email when booked several months earlier and it had the correct code. The apartment was clean and beds are comfortable. People with mobility issues will not be able to handle the stairs. Easy walk to downtown to restaurants and bars. Ipswich is a cute town with a lot of history.

Nice apartment, great location

The property is just as described and had everything we needed. Be prepared to climb stairs. It wouldn't be suitable for someone who struggles but for our group it was great. Close to Gloucester for whale watching and close to Salem for witch watching!

Nice place, lots of stairs

The apartment was very nice and clean. Was given wrong lock box number to retrieve the key so that took a while to get straightened out. Bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable to sleep on. The bathroom was very small. Main issue was the amount of stairs it took to get into the apartment. Would have been nice to have been mentioned before booking as my mother went with me and has a hard time with stairs. The apartment is on the second story and you have to park down below the driveway so you have to climb an extra set of stairs to get to the front door.
