This was better than staying in a hotel with my two kids! So close to Cranmore and all the cute shops in North Conway. Private location with nice winter scenery out our windows. I wish there was a privacy shade or blinds in the bathroom. It’s rustic and cozy, not super modern and polished. Perfect for a New Hampshire weekend away.

When you walk in, there is a smell that is unpleasant and there is cobwebs and spiders. Will not return to this “chalet” No shade to pull in bathroom? What’s up with that? I tried reaching out to owner and he told me all he gets is five star reviews. Well this one is not. Sorry.

Perfect size place for 2-4 people for a quick getaway. The ceiling in the main area was beautiful, as visualized in the pictures. Also a very convenient location for hiking in the area and for getting into the towns of Conway / North Conway. Two small requests (that did not affect our stay) would be to include a dish drying towel and a couple of hangers for nicer clothes.

We rented one of the units for our family vacation at the end of July. Unfortunately the unit didn't work for us as we end up by staying only 2 nights there. The location was good and quite, near N Conway with easy access to shops, stores and restaurants. On the top level there are the living room and kitchen with only 1 wall a/c for the whole unit. The 2 bedrooms with the bath are on the low level that is under ground and a musty/moldy smell was present. The most annoying issue was that the hardwood floors were very squeaky especially with the bedrooms downstairs and with different bed time hours for us. We communicate with the owner but as it was more a 'us' issue and noting that could be fixed from his side, we decided to look for something else and enjoy the rest of our vacation in NH.

Use the app or else..

We did not download the app. So, the problems started immediately, because we did not have the correct door code. When we arrived it was dark gold and rainy.. Ultimately, we ended up going to a hotel. I do not like being forced to use the app for lots of reasons. So, we won'tuse this service again..

Family ski trip getaway

Richard was the ultimate host. Responsive and accommodating. There was a last minute issue with the original unit we reserved and Richard notified us ASAP with a detailed explanation. He then proceeded to move us to the other unit without even asking, which had amazing views of Cranmore mountain. The unit was clean, quiet and in an excellent, centralized location to skiing, shopping and restaurants. We were very pleased with our stay and will be looking into booking again for next year’s trip.

Not clean. Inaccurate listing.

I don't understand how this place got an exceptional rating. There are 2 units in one building - the description does not indicate that. One unit has a nice view, the other unit looks into the backyard. The description is very misleading!! In addition, the place is NOT clean.
