"Seabird is at the southend of Ft. Bragg on Hwy 1 (PCH). The property is older maybe built in the 70's or 80's. It is well maintained. Checkin was very good and the reception staff kind of worked off a script. Every checkin is the same. We booked a room with a king size bed and a balcony with a view of the ocean, although maybe a quarter mile away. "This motel is a textbook example of how to cheap out on maintenance and furnishings. The room I was in had one light fixture/fan on the ceiling with wires running up the wall. The fan and light were on the same switch so it was either be in the dark or chill under the fan with the light on. They had to come and fix the tv. One folding table. "

"Breakfast is a joke! Cold cereal, apples, bananas, coffee. We elected to out for breakfast. The room was very clean, TV ok. Bed was comfortable. The card access locks failed two times during our one-night stay. No one informed us that the heat in the room was controlled with the access card. We stayed at the same motel many times in the 1970's. But not again"

"Tgis was false advertising. I paid to stay at the actual hotel and they put me in a conpletely different property. Sort of ruined my birthday. If you see pictures of a beautiful wooden hotel overlooking the ocean and think that worth the extra money do not fall for it. They put me in sone generic building far away painted white just basic like motel 6. I deserve a full refund honestly. "

"We left our food in the take out bag it came in, picked up but not to fill the trash. Some of the food did end up in the trash. Both the trash can and bag of food, as well as the chair and table were completely covered in ants! Kind of a bummer to wake up to at 5:30am!"
