Bokade via Hotels.com. Hade kryssat i frukost ingick. På plats ingick inte frukost och vi lade till parkering på rummet. När vi checkade ut säger de att vi skall betala frukost och sedan parkering igen. Det går inte att lita på hotellet.

Je suis arrivé tard dans la soirée. C’est agréable de trouver un accueil sympathique et une chambre très propre. Le petit déjeuner est intercontinental avec en plus des produits locaux.

We stayed a week in the Exe Macarena [for the first time though we are fro travellers to Seville]. On the + front, the rooftop pool was great and at the weekend the rooftop bar was open, which was also great. Cleaning staff were great and the breakfast was great. Negatives: the tv has no English channels; the bedroom walls have ZERO soundproofing - we were in room 473 and we had a Mexican-style trumpet and shouting for two nights; the minibar was tiny and useless for holding water; no water was provided for guests; no reliable wifi in the bedroom; and unbelievably, the bar wanted to charge me €3 for some ice when we went to retire for the night. There was no water at reception to rehydrate. The pillows in the bedroom were simply unusable - I actually bought a soft pillow! Very annoyingly, I scanned the QR code for the loyalty scheme [Star Traveller] and entered my details. I was promised that I would receive a verification email, but I never did. I brought this to the attention of reception staff on 5 occasions. Nothing - the scheme does not exist. It's clear that the main business is bus tours but they take clients for fools! Staff attitude and management is the worst we have ever experienced in Spain in 30+ years. There is a terrible meanness to the business and total unresponsiveness. [eg I wrote a feedback email and didn't receive any reply.] Despite the rooftop pool, I couldn't stay again - it is only the total lack of response has prompted this review. We're SHOCKED!
