Welcome to our charming property on a historic 1920s dairy farm. Thoughtfully decorated, this home blends luxurious comfort with its unique history. The spacious living room features a stunning fireplace for cozy evenings, while the fully stocked kitchen includes essentials and extras like a popcorn maker for movie nights.

The manor has four bedrooms and two bathrooms: a king-sized bed in the primary suite, a queen bed in the second bedroom, two twin beds in the third bedroom, and one twin bed in the fourth bedroom, located just off the main living area. There’s also an extra twin bed in the second living area, accessible from the hallway or living room.

Explore unique spaces like the meditation room, sunroom, and enclosed patio. Outside, enjoy gardens, seating areas, and scenic grounds just a few blocks from town. Perfect for relaxing, connecting with history, and making memories, this manor is ready to welcome you.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING:
Streaming services are available, but guests must log in using their accounts.
This vacation rental is equipped with mini split air-conditioning.

-Cancellations: Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund, with a $150.00 cancellation charge. Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund, plus a $150.00 cancellation charge.
No Cancellations are Allowed for November, December, and January.

Check-in instructions: On your arrival day, the reserving guest will receive a text with check-in instructions between 3:30 and 4:00 PM. Please stop by our office to retrieve your key from the lockbox.

- Pets: We do allow dogs, however, please note that there is a fee of $35 per dog per night. If you plan to bring more than one dog, you must obtain prior approval and additional fees may apply. When booking through selected third-party sites such as Airbnb, once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a payment request for the dog fee, which should be paid separately.

Parking: Free parking is available for 3 vehicles (Seasonal Restrictions Apply; chains are recommended in winter, and 4X4 is HIGHLY Recommended).

- Rental agreement: Please review our rental agreement for our house rules. You will receive an emailed version to sign, but if you prefer other options, please inquire.

Age restrictions: Due to the new County of Ordinance 927.2, we no longer accept reservations for anyone under 21 years of age.

Seasonal wood delivery: If available, there is a $25 fee per bundle (approximately 20 pieces). Please provide at least 5 days' notice for a Friday arrival date or at least 3 days' notice for any other day of the week. Please note that there are no refunds for this service.

- Confirmation: Upon booking this property through Airbnb, New Spirit Vacation Homes will send you a direct email confirming your reservation. Attached to this confirmation will be a contract you need to review, sign, and send back within 24 hours.

- Incidentals: We reserve the right to request payment for any incidentals. This includes but is not limited to firewood, pet fees, special occasion requests, personal grocery drop-offs, pay-per-view movies or sporting events, and damaged property.

Guests booking this home under the age of 25 years of age will provide an additional insurance for $70.00 non-refundable on the day of arrival.

A Fun but Rainy Weekend

We liked the location, which was very close to town. Being a family of six, we needed four bedrooms and the house is quite large, but be aware the rooms are very small so if you're looking for an open space common area, this is not that house. The house was very clean and decorated very cute, in an old-timey way. Also be aware that while there are two bathrooms, one only has a bathtub and no shower. Since it was a very cold weekend, we had problems at first getting the heat to work for the whole house. Management was very responsive and helped with that, but with a split heating system (one unit for downstairs, one for upstairs), we had a hard time getting them both to work at the same time. There were also space heaters in some of the bedrooms but they were not very strong and took a long time to heat up. This all wouldn't have been a problem in warm weather, but that was not this weekend. The pictures in the listing are accurate as to the decor, cleanliness and neatness of the house. The private road to the house is not maintained well at all--full of potholes so low cars would have a hard time.

Great getaway

We loved this old house with all its unique rooms and furnishings. The TV didn’t work but we didn’t mind. Was great to be able to walk to town every day! The furnace worked great and loved the popcorn maker!

Perfect get away

Rented this cabin out for me and a couple of coworkers for a weekend and we loved it. There were 7 of us and everyone had there own bed with one more bed to spare. Kitchen and dinning room perfect for everyone to be in and the patio is a great hangout spot. Would really recommend.

Farmhouse facade

My experience was a lackluster and sad reminder that you get what you pay for — and sometimes not even that. I found this listing and was thrilled to see how much space and beauty was on this remote property. The check-in process was like this: - I was told I would be sent a code for a lockbox. I requested a curbside contactless experience. Well, so much for that. My boyfriend approached the office where a woman without a mask on came right within a foot of him to point out where the key was. I have severe asthma and it has been a terrifying time for me. To see her do something that reckless says a lot. - Do you like gigantic Maga flags? Well, you’ll love this neighborhood! Immediately, my heart sank. - We walked into the farmhouse. It was dark, dingy and terrible. The pictures made it seem kitschy and cute. It was far from that. I’m grateful I brought my own linens because the pillowcase has some sort of dark stain on it and the living room floors were disgusting. I didn’t take off my slippers the entire time. The couch was so bad, we never used the living room. Outside was even worse. There are other houses and structures on the property, including one side of the house that seems to be full of junk. That hammock? So dirty. Just awful. - I mentioned I have asthma. Bad asthma. I am recovering from a six month illness and have a special machine I use to breathe from — I told this to New Spirit properties several times before I came. Well, Sunday morning, we awake to multiple trucks blasting music and the sound of wood clattering to the ground. And no electricity. We decide to wait it out. Well, around 11, I needed to plug in my machine. I called the woman Lidia and asked her if she knew what was going on — and no answer. I text. No answer. I texted Monica, her manager. No answer. I finally got through. They said it was “an act of god” and couldn’t help me and it probably wouldn’t last that long but she’d call Edison. HOURS PASS. No word. I go outside and the men tell me that this is a scheduled maintenance, refitting. The owners would know this. They rented us a house without electricity which could have left me in a life threatening situation. We decided it wasn’t worth the $ to stay and drove back early. They won’t refund us for that last night so I’m talking to VRBO and they’ve asked for photo reference, which thankfully, I have. - One more thing: in their “zen room” it appears there is a camera. It was truly a horrible experience.

So Charming, Exceeded Our Expectations

This property is lovely and has so much character. The online description was accurate and, in fact, we were even more pleased once we'd seen it in person. This house has so much character and personality. We stayed with just our family of three and our dog, but it could have accommodated so many more. The property is thoughtfully prepared for guests and we had a couple of easy text with the manger just to ask simple questions. They were very responsive. The location is also another huge plus. We walked into town a number of times. It's not right on the main street so you don't feel like you're staying in the middle of town, but you can walk in if you want to and a couple of nights we swung into town to pick up takeout. The decor of the home is also very nice. It doesn't feel like a rental house it feels like a home. We would definitely love to stay here again and highly recommend it!
