We had a very nice stay. It was cozy and well suited to what we needed. The cabin is on a very quiet street. It is close to town center and easy to get around.

Cozy Comfort

Walden in the Woods was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway to unplug, unwind and reconnect with nature. Within walking distance of local cafes, shops and hiking, this was a great place to rest and relax. Already looking forward to another trip!

Perfect Little Retreat

I loved this little cabin tucked away. Was a very easy checkin process and overall great cleanliness. Would definitely recommend it for a quick little getaway by yourself or a small group of 4. Overall a really good experience for me.

This Rustic little Cabin in the woods is exactly what we needed. Loved the escape from the city, having WIFI was nice and kept us entertained between the board games and laughing and having fun. We will definitely be back!

Second time visiting Walden in the Woods. Being able to grab a quick bite at a nearby diner with friendly staff, go for a quick hike in the snow, and read by a fireplace is a great way to unwind. Idyllwild has a lot of places to explore and already looking forward to the next trip!

Thanksgiving Getaway

This cabin was perfect! We stayed for the Thanksgiving holiday and it was an awesome experience. We were able to warm up by the fireplace and visit the local tree lighting ceremony. The cabin had a nice thanksgiving gift package for us when we arrived. Check in was easy and the cabin had everything we needed. Would definitely visit again.

Classic Cabin

We loved our overnight stay here! It's a simple, charming, mountain classic that looks like it hasn't changed in decades -- which I love. Really enjoyed using the fireplace (it got down in the 40s at night, even in September)! Super-convenient to town and gave us the mountain vibes we needed for this last-minute visit to Idyllwild.

Idyllwild Get Away

This is a great little cabin with lots of deck space. Very clean, comfortable, and located close to town. Bring some camp chairs for outdoor seating and something to make coffee with. Other than that it has everything you need.

Very quiet area of town, super clean cabin. Make sure you have plenty of wood for the fireplace if you’re staying in the winter. The gas heat only warms enough to keep the pipes from freezing.

We loved the real experience of a wooden cabin in the woods. However, there were some issues with our stay, the stairs are really steep, not kids friendly.

Such a quaint cabin. Adorably small, but not cramped. Adequate for the two of us, but would probably be fine for up to four. I felt like I was staying in a doll house in the woods. I loved the loft/upstairs bedroom with windows over the bed.

This very rustic,cute cabin is a gem for a perfect getaway in the mountains. Well-equipped with everything you need including a darling fireplace to enjoy during the cold nights. Evening walks boast an amazing star-filled sky! The town is a short walk or drive away and hikes galore that we really enjoyed. The stairs are indeed steep so you have to be very careful and we noticed the carpeting was coming up which can propose a hazard. The carpet could stand to be replaced and maybe an updated sofa as the futon style was not comfortable. A small tv in the main living area would be a nice addition for couples wanting to cozy up to watch a movie by the fire after a long day outdoors. Overall, we had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back! Thank you!
