Welcome to our wonderful sanctuary by the beautiful glacier river. Escape from your busy life, city, pandemic & the world stress. Surround yourself with wilderness, wild flowers, walk or hike in the forest, loud mountain river, wild birds, trout fishing & star gazing while soaking in hot tub by the river. We are only 10 min from the nearest town of Idaho Springs & glacier hike at 11k ft, 35 min from Loveland & A Basin, Red Rocks Amphitheater, 45 min from the Denver Downtown & 1 hour from DIA.

Posty Getaway

We came to the mountains for some relaxation before a concert in Denver. PERFECT!! The pictures do not do this property justice! We spent 80% of our time on the back deck. We used the charcoal grill to cook dinner. Kitchen has about anything you should need. Everyone had a bed. There is zero cell service in the area. Be sure to save the address and security code before heading to the house off I70.

Mountain Memories

If you are seeking a quiet getaway, tucked in the mountains, where you can relax and unwind after a day of activities, this is the property for you! Our family of three spent an extended weekend at the property to celebrate our son's 15th birthday. The location of the property allowed us to travel during the day to different adventures, but retreat in the evenings to the privacy and calm of nature. Even though it was 90 degrees during the day, it cooled down quickly in the evenings and we were able to enjoy the hot tub every night. Mornings were spent waking up slowly on the deck, watching hummingbirds and listening to the stream. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the basics, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a few condiments available in the fridge and cupboards, as well (ketchup, BBQ sauce, salt & pepper, seasonings, etc). We utilized the gas grill to cook steaks for dinner one evening, and for several hours one rainy afternoon, we searched the game cabinet and chose to play Monopoly to pass the time - something our teenage son would never have chose to do if we had been at home. Our day trips included: 1. Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton - Absolutely stunning views and top-notch experience for any avid golfer. 2. Clear Creek Rafting in Idaho Springs - Our first time river rafting was a BLAST! Highly recommend for thrill-seeking teenage boys. 3. St. Mary's Glacier hike - I couldn't believe how close this hike was to the property - fantastic experience!

Awesome place to stay !

We enjoyed everything very much. The house was nice and well stocked with everything you need. Beds were comfortable and the sound of the stream just feet away and the wonderful mountain air made sleeping very nice. But that’s not the best part. The back deck overlooking a Glacial stream and a hot tub ! We spent a lot of time on the deck and on the hot tub. Idaho Springs is a ten minute drive and has everything you need and some very good restaurants. The host even called and answered some questions we had. Stay here ! You will not be disappointed!

Cute place!!

We loved our visit here! The back yard was so peaceful and beautiful. Loved having a fire in the house every night! The owner was very accommodating. The one thing that was a little difficult was the driveway with the snow. We had about 8 or 10 inches and even with 4 wheel Drive vehicles it was difficult to get out but other than that everything was great! Would love to see the property in the summer

Nice remote location.

While the location was nice, it did take about 10 minutes to get into Idaho Springs when we wanted to go out to eat. While the house was clean and nice, there was no cozy place to sit as a family and visit. Also, the water in the hot tub was dirty and there were several items that were wrong in the welcome book, including use of the TV and internet.

Comfort in the mountains

Our stay simply could not have been better. The home had all the amenities we needed, and more! Conveniently located near Idaho Springs and the Loveland Ski Area we enjoyed the hot tub and sauna after days on the slopes. Snow was removed before our checkin and the home was spotlessly clean. Thanks for a wonderful space for family memories to be made!
