Holiday House · Lakeview House on Rye Beach

This historical cottage was built in 1915, but renovated in Spring 2021. Enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Erie from the covered front porch or rear deck. The Holiday House is 50 yards from the Rye Beach Park where there is private sandy beach-great for swimming, basketball court, playground, pier for fishing and jetty. Rear deck has a propane fire table and grill.

This is beach town neighborhood with a three acre private park with a beach, basketball court, pier, jetty, horseshoe pits and plenty of park benches to enjoy the views. Guests at the Holiday House can enjoy park at their own leisure.

The Holiday House at Rye Beach is 10 minutes from Cedar Point, 15 minutes from Kalahari Resorts and Great Wolf Resort, 7 minutes from downtown Huron near the channel and Huron River, 15 minutes from downtown Sandusky, 2 minutes from Sawmill Creek Resort Golf Course and 6 minutes from Thunderbird Golf Course.

There is a queen size futon in the living room that can be pulled out to sleep an additional two people.
No shoes in the house, no pets, no parties, no smoking of anything on premises
No wet bathing suits or towels on any furniture please. Also, please be mindful when eating and sitting on our furniture.
Quiet hours start at 10PM. No standing on beds or furniture at all! Please be respectful of our house. Should any damages happen due to not being courteous guests, we may have to charge accordingly. Thank you

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Holiday House while visiting Sandusky for my daughters softball tourney at Sports Force Park. The home was perfect for our party of 6, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The lake and park were steps away for relaxing after a full day at the ball fields. We also enjoyed Cedar Point, only a 10 minute drive away. I’d love to come back to enjoy more of the lake life and nearby beaches and would definitely rent Holiday House again!

Holiday House

The house has been beautifully updated with lovely furniture and finishes. It's a wonderful location to daytrip to Kalahari, Put-in-Bay and Cedar Point.

Rainy days at Holiday House

Overall the property met our needs. The process of using the code at the front door was challenging at times. It was a bit difficult to maneuver in and out of the driveway. The outside railing is broken and not usable. The downstairs shower door does not slide properly.

Top Notch!

Property is clean, updated, all the amenities and then some--cutlery, condiments, welcoming wine, etc. Owner stopped by, very cordial, helpful. Location good for kids, walk to beach, playground, fishing pier, etc. Short trip to Cedar Point, ferry to Put-in Bay. A cottage colony on the lake shore, houses somewhat close together but not noisy

Very clean and well maintained Lake view house

We have enjoyed so much staying in this lake side house. Very well maintained and equipped. Instructions are so clear. I love to stay again if possible with other members.
