Take a look at this hidden gem! It's like taking a step back in time!

While staying at this fully restored, historic Victorian home in downtown New Market, AL,...you'll never want to leave! It houses a large kitchen equipped with everything you'll need for your stay, as well as a billiard room for late night fun with family and/or friends! Drink a cup of coffee in our comfy sitting room or out on the front porch or spacious back patio. You can't go wrong with either choice!

Take a stroll in the manicured garden maze while enjoying the birds singing and the sounds of the nearby stone fountain. Peer out the many windows of the home to enjoy the quiet and peace and maybe even a sunset or two!

This property is unlike most, and you will have plenty of space for your getaway or even for your special event (Events must call for inquiry. No events are scheduled through Airbnb)!

Can't say enough. The home was beautiful and completely furnished with everything we needed and more. The host worked with us on a last minute booking and was a pleasure to work with. We will stay again when we are in the area. The house would be perfect for a family or couple to just get away. If it is available, just go ahead and book it. You will not be disappointed!

tight entrance for pulling into the property.clean rooms. only TV that worked was in the back room. The furniture was old and not comfortable. for the price we payed, the two seating pieces were awful. just being real. please invest in actual comfortable sofa's and maybe a recliner. just not comfortable. nice size rooms. nice kitchen. pretty backyard . Mamie responded to our communication in a timely manor. nice lady. was to happy about having to take the garbage can to the curb, after the we payed ... overall nice place.

Incredible Experience!

This house was the single greatest vacation spot my family and I have ever stayed at. The amount of space offered by the rolling gardens and cozy living spaces (pool room and living room) were not only breathtaking but served as the perfect place to spend time with family. Furthermore, the kitchen was massive and provided ample places for us to put our leftovers from all of the incredible nearby restaurants. I swear this place also has the best Wi-Fi in the entire county. In total, if you are looking for the coolest place to stay in New Market, Alabama, this is it.,

We will definitely stay again

We truly enjoyed ourselves at the Cochran-Jackson house. The garden reminded me of the book ‘ The Secret Garden’. It was a walled garden full of trees, plants, and flowers. We sat outside every day and well into the evening just talking. You definitely want to stay here if you ever go to Huntsville, AL. It’s located in New Market, AL but very close to the big city of Huntsville. They had full accommodations for you to get relaxation and rest. I enjoyed the jacuzzi bathtub quite a bit. The kitchen is large and you have plenty of space for your family. We especially loved playing pool. I also liked that they had pictures of the original owners and how the house use to look. Very cool piece of history.

So So Good!

This house was absolutely perfect for our family Thanksgiving celebration. We were coming in from out of town and meeting our children and our grandchildren here. Everything was absolutely perfect! I am pretty picky about cleanliness and organization and this place made me feel right at home! The owners were so easy and pleasant to work with and everything was spotless and in great condition.

Richness of life well-lived in New Market

This property is an amazing step-back in time combined with a fully modernized suite of amenities. The gardens and patio are gorgeous and peaceful, the house is grand and comfortable, with great management and lots of little touches. Highest possible recommendation from our family.
