The house was a great fit for my family and I. We had a large group of 10 people and 2 dogs. The bedrooms were spacious. We spent the majority of our time in the living room. It was also my favorite room of the house, beautifully decorated. There’s a Tops grocery store a few minutes up the street and a Walmart 30 minutes away. If you’re a coffee addict like me, there’s also a coffee shop a few minutes up the street called Fred’s Coffee & Donuts. They serve great tasting coffee and donuts. My favorite part of this house was the views. I loved waking up every morning and sitting out front in the patio, just sipping coffee and looking up at the beautiful Mountain View’s. I enjoyed the quietness of the neighborhood. Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location

House was very clean. Property managers were very responsive to check in and check out time and anything we needed during our stay. Very close to the mountain and beautiful location. Would highly recommend.

Hunter Ski Weekend

Our families came up for the holiday weekend to ski Hunter. The location was perfect, close to Hunter with beautiful mountain views. The number of bedrooms and beds easily accommodated our group of ten. The game room in the basement and hot tub were added bonuses to be used after a day of skiing. We grilled one evening and enjoyed watching an Eagles win while sitting cozy by the wood burning stove.

Great location and great house. It was bigger than we tought, the only downthing was the pool table is like a kids pool table, we were expecting a normal size pool table. Otherthan that, everything was great. Hot tub was perfect. We would stay again

This place was perfect for a Hunter Mountain ski getaway for my family. 3 minute drive to the mountain. you could walk it was that close!

Perfect for us

We did arrive early, they were still cleaning, we went into town and arrived at 4pm- housekeeper was still working, a man told us we could go in, but as we opened the door the cleaning lady asked for time to finish- we did not get into house until 430/445. Great location, perfect spot. A few areas needed attention the yard area was dirty, cigarettes in front yard ect. The fire pit area did not look welcoming, or comfortable- just our 1st thoughts as we approached. Once inside we were pleased. We enjoy the woodstove, game room, hot tub and overall space if the house. The grill wouldn't start so that made our first planned meal a cookout a little hard. Bring extra towels- and shampoo and things like ketchup- we assumed incorrectly that some basics would be available. It was great their was so many tvs , but none connected to any cable, we did try calling about the grill/tvs - it was responded too the next day via email and no assistance was given. It was clean inside, a tad dark feel inside house, but overall the space was great. It was a nice spot for traveling with lots of kids, and we would recommend it- just remember people judge on appearance- the outside could be so cute, throw some cute lights up, fix furniture, make it welcoming !

Amazing house with the best location!

The house is much bigger than it looks. There are plenty of beds, a large living room, game room in the basement and an indoor hot tub upstairs. Being directly across the street from the mountain is a huge plus. A few of us even walked (took about 15-20 minutes). I would highly recommend this location.

Great location for skiing

The homeowner provided everything we needed, outside of food. Plenty of room for every one. The heated kitchen tiles were a pleasant surprise! The King bedroom upstairs was real quaint. Definitely plan to return again! Pro tip - if planning to use the hot tub, turn the temperature up after arriving so it will be warm when you are ready.

Great family ski vacation

House was much bigger than I expected from pictures. Rooms are very large, tons of beds, well stocked kitchen. Great communication with owner. Very close to ski resort. Basement has 2 bedrooms (1 queen and 2 full) and full bath. Main floor has 2 bedrooms (2 full and 2 full) and full bath. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms (1 king and 2 full, 1 twin, 1 pullout twin) as well as queen pullout sofa on upstairs landing. Kitchen, living room, and dining room are large and comfortable with lots of seats, blankets, pillows, etc. I felt at home as soon as I walked in. Would definitely stay here again.

PLENTY OF ROOM

We only had 8 of us during our late winter stay and there was plenty of room for everyone to pretty much have their own room. The property manager was readily available and answered all our questions very quickly. The home was well equipped with everything you would need to cook including plenty of silverware and glassware. It was a bit further than we thought to walk to Hunter with our ski boots on, but we just drove over and it wasn't a problem. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Avoid this rental

I have stayed in a ton of different home rentals throughout the years, and this will be the first negative review that I have ever left. I am a very low-maintenance traveler and am well accustomed to budget accommodations. However, this rental was extremely disappointing. First- the hot tub was not working (the water would not heat up, and there was a leak). Second- one of the bedrooms was located next to the sump pump room and it smelled strongly of sewage, earning the room the nickname “the poop room”. This bedroom could not be used and the person who was supposed to stay in that room ended up having to double up in another room. I messaged the host to ask about getting the hot tub repaired. They messaged me multiple times per day, insisting that a repair person had already come (each message saying a different day/time that they insisted the repair person had come). However, a repair person never came and the hot tub was never fixed. I had to waste a lot of time during my holiday responding to these multiple messages each day, which was an additional disappointment in addition to not being able to use the hot tub. We booked this rental because of the number of bedrooms and because of the hot tub. If we had booked a rental with less bedrooms and without a hot tub, it would have been much cheaper. Because of this, we asked for a partial refund. The owner offered us one free night and an extremely small refund to make up for the troubles. However, they later did not let us use the free night, stating that it could only be used for a stay of 3 nights or more. I am very regretful for booking this home and for wasting so much of my time with such a poor communicator. Avoid this rental at all costs.

Plenty of space for 2 family’s to share a house for a weekend of skiing at Hunter Mountain. Teens loved the game room, younger kids loved the toys.

Great Location and has all that you need

Smallish house, but with plenty of beds and has just the amenities required for a ski weekend. Great value if you have 10 people or so. Walkable to the mountain which comes in handy if you have a lot of people and some may get tired early, they can walk back to the house from the mountain. Walking distance to a handful of bars and restaurants. and neighbors were kind and courteous

Bigger than you think

We had a nice weekend and enjoyed the house. There was ample room for our 10 guests and more than enough beds which means everyone slept well! The house had everything we needed for nice home cooked meals. The hot tub didn't work while we were there but the property manager kept in constant communication with us and they were able to send a repairman out on a weekend with less than 24 hr notice, which impressed us. You can't beat the location in relation to Hunter Mountain - a few of our crew even WALKED to the mountain because they couldn't wait for the rest of us to get ready :)

Home was nice, plenty of room for a large group of people. Outside fire pit wasn’t what we expected, somewhat disappointed. Ziplining was a good experience, 2 min drive. Host weee very helpful in assisting our needs

Hunter New York July 25th 2021

This property was great for a few nights stay. It was in need of some repairs and could be great if given a little TLC. Overall it had plenty of beds, chairs and relaxing spaces for everyone. We had fun in the game room and playing games around the table. We had ages 16-73 and we all had a great time. It's a quiet neighborhood close to whatever you needed. We enjoyed the railroad express and especially the Skyride Zipline. Thanks for letting us stay at your home, we enjoyed our time. Hoping to come back in the fall.

Perfect location

The house served our family very well. View of Hunter Mountain was amazing. So convenient to the mountain and many other attractions in the area. Due to all the recent rain the basement two bedrooms were not usable due to dampness but there is plenty of sleeping options on the other floors. The game area of the basement was great, loved the arcade game! Hot tub was very nice, even though we were there in summer it got plenty of use. If we return in winter I would stay again for sure.

Exactly what I expected. Directly across the street from Hunter mountain and 20 min from Windham. Fireplace was great. Kids could play in the basement. Hot tub room was nice after a long day on the slopes.

Great stay across from hunter mountain

We really enjoyed our three night stay. It’s just across from the mountain, had a terrific indoor jacuzzi which we used every day after skiing and a lovely fire place that we used each evening. There’s a fun ping pong table and dart board that the kids loved. Was a great vacation spot. Clean, comfortable, and as stated in the listing. Would love to come back!
