"Great location, free parking and easy walk up to the small town centre and surrounding countryside. Staff were very helpful. Nice old property but a little dull sometimes and lacked character. Clean though. There were issues with water pressure, effecting showers etc. this was explained on arrival, so was not a surprise. Breakfast was unexciting and just ‘okay’ with overcooked scrambled eggs, dry bacon and a pot of beans that was more juice than beans. A comfortable stay despite the quibbles."

"Room was lovely . Clean spacious high tech fittings warm and some lovely bathroom accessories. Alex the manager went over and above to make us feel welcome as did Rebecca on arrival . The food was really delicious by chef Rag Thank you for our Christmas stay and we’ll be back. Doro Jillings"

"Lovely location and hotel. Spa pretty busy so hard to use facilities or find somewhere to really relax. Restaurant is fine but vegetarian options very limited. A mini bar/fridge in room would be nice. My the time we went to have tea in the morning the milk on the countertop was warm and a bit spoilt. "

"All clean and ready, but I woke up freezing and had to double up my duvet. The fire light was also very bright and I found it hard to get to sleep and to get to sleep again. "

"Nice clean place, staff very friendly, if a little under staffed, could do with additional staff in my opinion, but the staff I encountered remained positive and very helpful. atmosphere is good, the food was good, all in all I had a pleasant stay. If leaving before the main pub entrance is open, the route out to the car park could do that lighting, it’s very dark exiting via that route. "

"Room wasnt the biggest but perfectly formed. Only disappointment was the shower was over a bath - difficult for me being slightly disabled to get in & out of. "

"Very nice hotel, great location. But noisy late at night but not too bad. My room was excellent, large, well-equipped and comfortable. Needed another light in the bathroom. Check out time of noon would be better than 11am (just in case you need it). Car park was very secure. Would definitely stay here again. "
