Hume Cemetery A church, dedicated to St Nicholas by Robert, bishop of St Andrews, in 1147, was built on this site before 1127. The last recorded use of the church was in 1640 and it is believed to have been destroyed by Cromwell in 1673. There are some good old symbolic stones in the cemetery together with some more modern gravestones. A grid line runs through the cemetery and this is viewed at the edge of the square. My 2 friends and I loved our 1 night stay in our cottage. Everything was perfect (apart from the beeping radiators which we turned off before bed but forgot the hall one). Food, drinks and staff were brilliant. We paid to use the spa which we had to wait to use as it was full but it worked out really ...

Lovely location, very friendly staff, great food and a comfortable stay. The property is a gem in the rough - the common areas present beautifully but the room was a bit tired (but still very comfy)
