"Pictures are deceiving. The building itself is old, moldy, and downright gross. The neighbors driveway is directly next to the entry way to the "cabin." The building is ok from the outside, but the location bites. The path to the lake is blocked by a large dead tree. "My family stayed at this house for 3 nights for our trip to the Kentucky Derby. We were unbelievably excited to see the house when we got there! We almost exclusively use rental homes for our trips now due to having kids and more of a “home” feel. "The property was very clean on the inside and out. So quiet at night, I heard nothing but the passing storm. There was neighbors but I didn't encounter them. Plenty of blankets, towels and kitchen supplies. The GPS didn't take me to the house and Crystal did have to help out with that. I was in the area with family and also working as a travel nurse. I would highly recommend if your looking to stay here!"

"We had a guys weekend away that included grilling out, playing games, and hanging out. There were a large group of us and the house fit our needs perfectly while giving us an atmosphere that we could relax in and enjoy the natural beauty of Rough River. "We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Everything was very clean, well decorated and very cozy. Wish the lighting would have been a bit brighter. The kitchen was well stocked. We really appreciated all of the tupperware containers, to store leftovers in. The lake level at rough river was low. There was also a lot of floating debris at certain times, making it hard to boat or tube.
