Journeys End brings you into your own private cove side paradise. Privacy surrounds you on every side of this magnificent Tudor waterfront property. Our home offers the perfect place for the luxury lake experience. You won't be looking at other homes but instead over two acres of pristine woods and an expansive 300 foot waterfront area with a huge gentle sloping lawn and gorgeous views of the lake from both the deck and dock area. You will feel like you have your own private park. The swimming area is ideal because it is protected from boat traffic and you can float to your hearts desire without floating away. To insure your safety we have added a dock lifeguard shock warning system to our swim area. Our water front has a great floating dock, stationary dock and a sandy beach area. When you are ready to put your feet up you can sit in the huge hot tub, or choose one of 3 decks or the lakeside dock area. Enjoy exploring the lake as you cruise the shoreline in our four complimentary kayaks or two paddle boards. At night enjoy our complimentary firewood and the lakeside fire pit area to roast your marshmallows. Every detail has been taken care of, and the quality of the home, appliances, and furnishings are unmatched. The expansive kitchen is fully equipped and your family can enjoy meals together around the large oak table with seating for ten. Granite countertops and high end large and small appliances are available for you to use. Watch movies together in the expansive great room with cathedral ceilings which can seat ten plus people. Children will enjoy the game room which can be found downstairs next to the children's bedroom. They can enjoy Playstation 3, bring their own gaming system or watch DVD's. Battle it out as you enjoy playing a family tournament on the air hockey or foosball table. You will find high speed internet and Wi-Fi throughout the home. This home offers over 3,500 sq. feet of living space with 5 large bedrooms including a huge master suite and attached bedroom. There are 3 bathrooms, one on every floor and a half bath off the deck. Located right off the main channel of Craddock's Creek you are in a protected cove, but only a cove away from the most beautiful part of Smith Mountain Lake. We have a whole house generator to insure you are uninterrupted during your stay. The location is ideal and only a short drive to all the restaurants, boutiques, and grocery stores. There is plenty of parking for as many vehicles as you wish and plenty of room for your boat trailer. So be the first to let your journeys end be here in our cove side paradise.

Lough's at SML

So many great things! We got a pontoon boat w/ tube and four jet skis. Everyone had an absolute blast! one evening we made smores and listened to Adam play a guitar and sing songs while the ten of us sat around the fire near the dock. Not a day of rain except when we arrived. Everything was perfect !

Wonderful family getaway

Our family, with 3 generations, had a wonderful time together at this home. It is exceptionally well stocked with sand and water toys, life vests, 3 refrigerators, kitchen appliances, etc. It's in a beautiful and quiet cove, just a short trip from the dam and other nice areas of the lake. The kids could easily play on the beach or in the water, and we spent many hours in the near by coves tubing and doing other water sports. This was a great house for our trip.

Awesome Stay at Journeys End!

Our first time at Smith Mountain Lake based on some recommendations. Journeys End was a perfect place to stay! On the water in a quiet cove with a great yard. The house has everything a family could want. Plenty of space, games, hot tub, and every kitchen gadget you can think of. Nothing missed here! Nancy and Charles are great hosts! Highly recommend! Don’t miss this one!

Wonderful stay on the lake!

We went for a quiet girls trip and could not have found a better place to stay! The property was clean and comfortable and had everything we need and more. The views of the lake were stunning and we were even able to get out on the property’s kayaks and paddle boards in November. The kitchen was a great size and well stocked. All of us hope to return in the future!

Great vacation house!

We had a great time staying here. The house was clean, the property was well maintained and there was plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of parking as well. The dock was awesome and had plenty of space and furniture for everyone to sit and hang out. We will definitely be going back!

Quiet Cove!

Wonderful week with family - very quiet cove with clear water for swimming. Kitchen had everything we needed and second fridge in the garage came in handy. Loved being able to have all of us fit at the dining table for dinner! Enjoyed hanging out on the dock and making 'smores by the fire pit.

Beautiful home on the lake!

We rented Journey's End for a family reunion and had a wonderful time. We are all siblings and our spouses - all of us are seniors - and this place was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed using the kayaks, the paddle boards, the dock & the fire pit. There are plenty of comfortable bedrooms for the 7 of us and multiple places for dining on the deck & kitchen. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes, cooking equipment, and anything you may need. Thank you to our hosts for a very special stay!

Beautiful property with all you need for great vacation

We rented the property for the Memorial weekend for three families with kids. The house sits on a nice sloping lawn with beautiful water view. Location on the water is quiet, no boats or jetskis were around, the property provides all you may need on the water - paddle boards, kayaks, some water toys, noodles, floaties, kids thoroughly enjoyed the lake. The dock has very nice sitting furniture. The house was clean, kitchen stocked with all kind of utensils, spices, food processors, bedrooms are spacious with good quality matresses. One note - one bedroom with two twins is off the master bedroom, i.e. it's bedroom inside master bedroom, would work for a close family, but not necessarily for friends. Worked for us great, but thought to make a note of this configuration. Our favorite space was deck with huge dining table and several sitting arrangements with beautiful views over the water and sunset. This is the house where all basic and beyond basic necessities were provided, saves time on shopping. Communication with the owners was very effective and Nancy was very helpful. We loved the house and hope to be back again!

Fall Weekend

Oh it was WONDERFUL! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We wished we had longer. The views were beautiful and we loved the area of the lake in our own private cove it felt. Fire pit right along the water and private little ‘beach’. We enjoyed the dock and sunshine all day Saturday, after morning hot tub! Plenty of space for groups and families. Great kitchen equipped with everything you need!

Life IS better at the lake!

Let me say Nancy is a dream to work with. She handled all of my concerns, even the crazy ones, like a pro. Journeys End is everything they say it is and then some. The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of their property. You truly won’t want for anything. The cove is so peaceful & SML is beautiful. We opted to rent a boat for the week, but there’s plenty to enjoy without one. After decades of vacationing at the beach, we were converted. We had such an amazing time and look forward to returning next year.

EXCELLENT STAY

This home is beautiful and had absolutely everything we needed. Everything was clean and looked exactly as it did on the listing. The cove was quiet and beautiful and the neighbors were very pleasant as well. We were only there for the weekend, but I wish we had booked extra days. Communication with the owner/host was wonderful. As an added plus, there was also great reception there and the wifi worked well! (**we had teenage kids...you know how that goes). The lot was beautiful, with a small downward slope. Very manageable. Had it been warmer, we would have been able to enjoy ALLLLLL of the kayaks and paddleboards. I can't say enough good things about this rental. If the opportunity arises again, we will be back!!!

Great weekend getaway!

The house was a great spot for a yearly group trip and very cozy and private. The house had everything we needed and really appreciate the linen service and cleaning being all rolled into the stay. We picked this house because of all the amenities and convenience! Only thing I would change is yard was very very damp and slippery and lack of door locks. The space was perfect we’d def stay there again and that huge family room and tv and giant table in kitchen was outstanding! If you could make one of the twin rooms a queen I think more couples could enjoy their stay just a tad bit more! But this was a fabulous trip! Thank you Nancy for being so attentive throughout the process!
