Welcome to the North Shore House. This house is 1600 square feet, fenced in yard, accommodating 1 or 2 dogs, all 3 bedrooms face the water. Conveniently located between Brighton and Howell on a popular all Sports Lake. This is my forth year listing with VRBO on the North Side of Lake Chemung, we hope you enjoy your stay! It's going to be amazing, from the early morning water skiers to the mid afternoon sounds of laughter of kids tubing, the evening fishing tournaments and enjoy a bonfire at night. (Wood Included). This will be a vacation on the lake you will never forget. You have it all here at the NORTH SHORE HOUSE on LAKE CHEMUNG!!
Enjoy the lakefront life style of this 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath Midcentury Modern Ranch with plenty of cottage flare, it's perfect for your family lake house getaway. Fantastic Water View greets you into a large open living and dining room and all 3 of the cozy bedrooms!
This quaint home is full of amenities for the ease of lake life relaxation.
The kitchen is fully equipped and connects to a large laundry/mud room with a washer and dryer. Wi-Fi, cable in the living room with Netflix and Amazon Prime help keep you connected and provide a cozy movie night in front of the large wood burning fireplace.
The 2.5 bathroom allows plenty of space to get ready for a night on he town in the happening bars and restaurants, don't forget about MSTREET Bakery.
This home has a unique large fenced in yard, pets welcome, so don't forget the dog!
Maximum 2 (FEE $50.00 PER DOG - PER DAY).
The back deck has a fully equipped propane grill and outdoor furniture, plenty of seating at the table to watch the boating activity on the water. Your very own dock is perfect for swimming, fishing and of course boating! There is a public boat launch to bring your own boat.
Don't forget to try lake life in the winter months!! Have fun ice-skating, cross-country skiing and of course ice fishing.
Close by is Kensington Metro Park, open year-round for outdoor activities and Mt. Brighton (Vail Ski Resort) just 5 minutes away.

The house was just right for our family Christmas! Thankful that our host had decorated for the holidays, making it feel more like being at home. Very well appointed kitchen. Fun to sit by one of the many windows and watch kids skating on the frozen lake, and wonder if the people ice fishing were having any luck.Loved all the special vintage touches throught the house.

Perfect blend of access to both lake and shopping. This was the most well appointed and equipped VRBO I've ever stayed at. It was like coming home to Mom's house where everything you needed was right where you expected it, and it was all planned for your comfortable stay. Super clean, and just a lovely place inside and out.

We fell in love with North Shore House! Everything about it felt welcoming and cozy and it was very well supplied. Sandra and Rob are gracious hosts, going above and beyond to accommodate us. Communication with them was outstanding! Fishing is best if you can get out onto the lake. Wilson Marine rents pontoon boats only, they are on lake Chemung. The Howell-Brighton area has all the familiar stores and restaurants as well as small, quaint businesses. I definitely recommend staying here. We didn’t want to leave!

We wanted a laid back weekend and it was perfect! The house is very clean and spacious, the view of the lake was beautiful, I brought my 2 golden retrievers and they enjoyed it as much as I did, the fenced yard was great! Looking forward to renting it again next summer!

Pretty Lake Front Stay

Pretty property overlooking a smallish lake. Nice backyard. We very much appreciated the back yard and neighborhood for walking our dog. And although he is not a water dog, he enjoyed being out back and watching the "goings on" at the lake: the fishing, the ducks, etc. The property was very comfortable for our 4 day stay.

Family time

I only wish we had more time at this home. We loved everything about it as we have family close by to drop in during our week. Nicely furnished, cozy , outside amenities were outstanding. Hope we can return next year.

Abundance of greatness

Sandra was the perfect host. The house was very clean and had way more supplies than any house I’ve ever stayed in. The fenced in yard (make sure the driveway gate is closed) was a relief from having to worry about the dogs. Beds were all very comfy as were the pillows. Water pressure in the shower is amazing and had enough hot water for a family of 5. The kids loved fishing off of the dock, racing the RC boat, and floating on the lake. There was even an extra fishing pole there. We had plenty of room for yard games. The neighbors on one side are residents and are very welcoming. The house on the other side is also a rental but was empty while we were there. The deck was my favorite place to be. Two tables with a total of 6 chairs, two comfy wicker chairs (one rocks) and an amazing rocking loveseat. The lights around the deck at night were so romantic. Note: bring lots of bug spray. I brought a small electric bug repellent device and we sprayed ourselves and made it out with minimal bites. Can’t say enough to really tell you how great it was. All I can say is we will be back for sure!

Just as described

The Northshore House was exactly as described in the listing. Plenty of room for three adults, two kids and two dogs. Great views from all rooms and nice size backyard. Lake was perfect for swimming from the small beach area or the dock. Owner was great to deal with. Check in and out process very easy. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay!

This property and the owners were so friendly and responsive...the house was so nice to stay in...it was perfect for our weekend getaway! It was also really cool and made it even more special that they shared their house with us, as the owners shared a special story of how the acquired the house...a very special family bond and story! We sooo appreciated staying there and had such a wonderful time!

Wonderful quiet neighborhood

Wonderful place right off of the highway. Sandra had anticipated all of our needs (and our dog's needs). Only thing that would have made the stay better would be some kayaks to explore the lake. House is starting to show it's age a little (the cabinet front was starting to fall off on one of the cabinets) but I'm sure Sandra will be sure to take care of it ASAP. Would 1000% stay here again.

Great Lake House

We spent four nights ( 2 adult couples) and our dog for a lake/golf long weekend. House was perfect for our stay. Kitchen has spices, aluminum foil etc. Great access to the water with your own dock. Fenced in yard is perfect for a dog. Great golf courses within a 25 minute drive. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Location on Lake

We had a great time at the lake house. We sat on the deck and enjoyed wildlife on the lake. The house was fully stocked with towels, nice pans (so grateful for an excellent skillet!) and even a hair dryer. It was wonderful to come home with clean clothes, great washer and dryer! Wonderful time, thank you!

Great Family Christmas gathering spot!

Spent Christmas here with family, was a perfect central gathering spot for all relatives from different areas. Well equipped kitchen for cooking, plenty of dishes and glassware. Comfortable furniture and mattresses. Felt very at home. Great yard for 2 small dogs to run around. Quiet neighborhood.

The property is just as described, the home is very cozy and very well equipped. The fenced in yard is a huge bonus, it was the first time our Shih Tzu Bruno was able to run free and he loved it!! My husband filled the bird feeders and within hours we had a wonderful outdoor show. The house offers beautiful views of the lake in several rooms. Check in was simple and our host left us a much appreciated bottle of wine. Perfect Anniversary get-a-way. Thank you!

Wonderful family gathering

I’m from Michigan which is where most my close friends and family I drove in from New Hampshire and my brother drove in from Florida and we were able to spend the whole time together. We were also there for our nephews graduation party which was wonderful and people could meet at our place to all be together it was perfect. Thank you for your wonderful accommodations.

Absolutely Perfect Lake Home

We enjoyed a long Labor Day weekend at this wonderful lake home and everything was just perfect! The home is beautiful and stocked with all the comforts and conveniences of home. The layout was optimal for our extended family with 3 bedrooms all with lake views and plenty of space to sleep for our party of 4-6 with teenagers coming and going. The beds were so comfortable and we all slept great. Bathrooms were spacious for a lake home and updated. Best part was the gorgeous fenced in yard that walked right out to the boat dock. Our chocolate lab was spoiled with easy swimming right from the yard and a safe yard to explore. We brought our pontoon and had amazing cruises around the large lake. Absolutely perfect! Can’t wait to come back!

Northshore House

This house was the perfect place for a relaxing week at the lake for our family and dogs. Full kitchen made it easy to make meals. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch and watching the lake activities.
