We’ve compiled a must-see list for visitors that want to get the lay of the land so they can understand where they’ll be spending most of their time in the Heights. For the folks that are new to Houston and the Inner Loop, these attractions are a great place to start to learn more about one of the most popular neighborhoods in Houston.
19th Street (7 mins walk; 2 mins car ride) The first stop for visitors in the Heights is usually 19th Street. It’s home to numerous boutiques, restaurants, and entertainment. The can’t miss restaurants include Torchy’s Tacos, Squable, Boomtown Coffee, and Harold’s. For live music, you’ll want to check out the Heights Theater. 19th Street is also home to some great events like White Linen Night and the First Saturday Arts Market. The small-town vibe takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the big city and offers a great option to plan your whole day in this section of the Heights.
The Heights Hike and Bike Trail (3 mins walk) The Heights Hike and Bike trail runs along Nicholson Street and connects all the way to Downtown and the White Oak Hike and Bike Trail. This is one of the most popular outdoor activities for Heights residents that enjoy running, riding or simply going on an evening stroll. In an urban setting like the Heights, the Hike and Bike trail helps the neighborhood enjoy the outdoors and explore the city. Heights Boulevard (15 mins walk; 5 mins car ride) Heights Boulevard is the main artery that basically runs thru the middle of the neighborhood. It also features some great art installations in the esplanade along with a trail that connects with the Heights Hike and Bike Trail. There are also numerous dining and entertainment options along the way including EQ Heights, Dish Society, and Revival Market.
White Oak Drive (30 mins walk; 8 mins car ride) White Oak Drive is another popular dining and entertainment district that runs along the Southern Edge of the Heights. There are numerous dining options that range from casual bar & grills to more upscale options. Some of the highlights include Coltivare, Onion Creek, BB’s, and Christian’s Tailgate. This is a great area to grab some breakfast, coffee, have a nice dinner out with friends, or watch the big game.
The Heights Mercantile (30 mins walk; 7 mins car ride) The Heights Mercantile is one of the newest developments in the Heights and it has quickly become one of the most popular. There are numerous dining and shopping options, a great family-friendly park across the street, and lots of outdoor space to hang out. Be sure to check out Local Foods, Cloud 10 Creamery, and Postino. Since it’s located on Heights Boulevard, you can connect with the Heights Hike and Bike Trail to explore other parts of the Heights.

Keyless locks and check-in The entrance door has a smart lock which allows keyless entry and exit to the apartment. Please ensure that the doors are properly closed so that the door can latch and lock correctly.

On site free street parking available. This listing is only for the private and separate apartment at the back of the house. Other people/guests stay in the main house and access to the main house is not allowed.
No extra guests or visitors allowed without explicit permission from host. Anyone who is not on the reservation is an extra guest or visitor and is not allowed on the property.
The property has security cameras monitoring the exterior of the property for the safety of our guests.
The apartment has a split air conditioning unit which is operated with a remote control next to the entrance door (see picture in check in instructions). Please turn off the air conditioning upon departure and keep the remote back in the remote control holder on the wall mount.
Please close and lock all windows and doors when you leave the apartment suite, as well as the property entrance doors. Please ensure that the doors are closed properly so that the locks can latch correctly. The entrance door of the apartment is a little stiff and needs to be pulled/pushed in for the door to close and lock to latch properly.
Please ensure that the water taps, TV, coffee maker, microwave oven etc are turned off and items are returned to their original place after use. Please clean up the used dirty dishes.
Please do not keep any food in the apartment or shared living spaces (eg backyard, patio etc) and dispose any leftover food prior to your departure.
If the trash bin is full, please take the trash bag out to the black garbage receptacle in the front yard. In case the black garbage receptacle is full, please keep the trash bag next to the black garbage receptacle or use the green recycle garbage receptacle (we can sort out trash after your check out). Please insert a new trash bag (white trash bags under the bathroom sink) in the trash bin.
No smoking, vaping, events, parties of any kind.
Other people are living in the property and please be mindful.
Before you leave, please do a final walkthrough to ensure you haven’t left anything behind and all instructions have been completed.
Pet rules (if applicable) - All pets must be listed on reservation when booking - Only one pet allowed (no cats; no big/dangerous pet) - Must be housebroken and toilet trained (no puppies!) - No pets on furniture/beds - Please bring your pet's towels (for wiping paws); their pet bed (and crate if using) and appropriate pet supplies - Should not be left alone in the apartment (unless left locked within the pet enclosure/kennel inside your apartment) due to potential damages inside or tied up outside (to avoid issues with other residents/neighbors ) - Please pick up all pet poo
We really want the guests to enjoy their stays and avoid any issues/disputes/fines but we will have no choice but impose appropriate charges/fines and take other appropriate actions for not following the house and pet rules.
