Located on the southwest side of the lake, nestled on a quiet dead end road, away from the busy, and noisy traffic. Kick back and relax on the back patio overlooking the lake, or gather around the fire pit for s’mores under the starry sky. Enjoy the beautiful sunrises, and the sandy bottom waters from your own private dock.

Property was everything we expected. Nice waterfront place with 2 baths and 3 bedrooms. Very comfortable.The only slight knock on the property might be the exterior cleanliness. It could have been a little better in that regard.

Great getaway

The place is super cute. We stayed here last year and enjoyed it so much we went again. The house has everything we could have needed. The yard is a perfect size for playing games. We enjoyed everything about our stay!! Thank you!

Sunrise on the lake!

Very cute, updated cottage on the lake! Gorgeous views of the sunrise every morning with our coffee. Nice shallow water off the dock for kids to swim. We rented a pontoon for the week and having the dock to tie off to was great. The owners have kayaks available for use as well. Property owner was very quick to respond to a few questions we had. Adding a dishwasher would be my only suggestion!

Excellent place!

We had an excellent stay! The cabin is set up well with larger bedrooms and plenty of open space in the living area. Both bathrooms were clean. The kitchen has plenty of counter space. The house has a great view of the lake. The back yard offers plenty of shade. Overall a great property!

Restful and Peaceful!

Our immediate family of five + two extended family members joined us for a relaxing vacation. There was plenty of room and the cottage was well stocked, furnished, and decorated! Our favorite things were the kayaks and all of the outdoor furniture to enjoy a beautiful Michigan furniture. Great location.

Charming and comfortable for a family of six

We had a wonderful stay! The house was very clean, plenty of room and perfect for our pontoon. The gas grille was perfect while relaxing on the deck, large yard for playing, the corn toss game was a hit, we enjoyed the shallow water with the kids and very relaxing for a fire to cap off the night with s’mores. We had my three brothers, two of my sons and my grandson on this trip, the property manager was extremely helpful and friendly. The cabin and location were Awesome, I would highly recommend the stay here, it was everything we were looking for. Quit, friendly, great location with a wonderful view. We are already starting to plan our next trip and hope they will have us back again, Thanks You with helping make great memories

All-around Excellent!

Our family comes to Houghton/Higgins lake every year, and this has been our favorite place to stay. The check in was simple and the home was clean, furnished beautifully, and decorated to make it feel like home. The home had everything we needed and more, from plenty of towels, to tons of dishes/cooking items - along with spices and simple pantry items. The kayaks were fun to use, and the private dock makes renting a pontoon for the week easy and stress-free. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The backyard was large and shaded with nice landscaping. The patio furniture was comfortable and the solar powered lights were a nice touch. Our family was really bummed when the power went out for 2 days, but the hosts were extremely communicative, and more than accommodating, offering us a partial refund, a free night in the future, and even a hotel stay if we wished. A generator was hooked up for us, and the hosts went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable during this situation that was out of their control. I am looking forward to returning next summer. Thank you, hosts!!

Great Place

This house is very clean and inviting. The view of Houghton Lake is fantastic. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. My family cannot say enough nice things about our week of fun and relaxation. Love this house. We will come back again.
