Casino Arizona Charlie's Decatur

Our stay was ok at best. We arrived at check-in on time. However, we had to wait over an hour to check-in. We were told that our room had been upgraded. But honestly, if that was an upgrade, I would've like to see what our original room looked like. The upgraded room could've been cleaned a little better. Long dark hair in the shower, and it was freezing. To the point of us sleeping in our clothes the first night. The second night, we tried to turn the air off by turning the heat on, and even on 70 it was still freezing. It was blowing even with the fan off. So, we had to call maintenance. It was determined that the cold-water valve was broken. He called Guest Services, and we were offered another "upgrade". We're thinking, if THIS was the upgrade from the other room and it needs repairs? Mm. So we passed. We only had one more night left and didn't want to deal with packing up all our things just to move to another room that might not work for one night. Then around EVERY corner there was someone trying to comp you up into becoming an owner. And the comps were for every resort, except for there. I thought resorts are supposed to feature organized daily programming, sports, or entertainment designed to keep guests busy without leaving the site. They had shows and events they didn't even offer discount tickets to. The best part of my stay was not being in there.

Better communication about where to check in would have been helpful. When placing the reservation it shows Mandalay Bay. There was nothing in any messages, reservation confirmation that our actual room was at the "W". We walked all over Mandaly Bay to get checked in. Did so with my reservation confirmation number. Found the elevators and made it to level "60" but no room existed for our room number. After dragging our luggage all over, we finally asked for help from the "bell desk" and they pointed we had to walk across the casino? With more guided help from employees on the way, we eventually found the "W". Beautiful room and ammenities, but better communication would have gone a long way.

We had an ok room, it’s smelled terrible. The carpeting in the hallway was stained with a horrible stench. To top it off the room next door threw a party and the music was super loud into our room. I called to complain and it took over 1/2 hour for security to come up. After security broke up the party which was the loud music the neighbors were up till after 3am playing games, talking and so loud. The next morning we had to be up due to a show being booked and we were so exhausted due to no sleep waste of $300. Also the party room had a huge bag of trash right outside their door and smelled horrible! I have a pic of that!
