No AC. This property is located approximately 8 minutes from the City of Horta (Faial) and 25 minutes from the airport located in Castelo Branco. Rental cars are available at the airport or local taxi service. The island of Faial, a safe, tranquil, peaceful island with beautiful scenic views of two, dormant volcanoes with plenty of hiking trails, is also known for its world renown Big Game Marlin Fishing, scuba diving, and other outdoor swimming/ocean activities. The ocean is warmed by the gulf stream in the summer, avg. temp. 70-78 degrees. Restaurants are plentiful, with freshly caught seafood. There are plenty of shopping stores in Horta or surrounding villages. Large supermarkets are available for those who prefer cooking from home.
