"The rooms were new and fresh and clean and staff top notch. Beds comfy. Parking plentiful. Loved the welcome with cookies to welcome Michigan State University grads and families. All around great! And saved us when we had to cancel our three rooms for family at the Red Roof Inn in Lansing - dirty, cigarette smokers running desk, trailer of cats in the pothole parking lot, place in complete disrepair. Crowne Plaza IHG saved us and then some. Also had a great - but a tad pricey - buffet...

"We were forced to book another hotel --through expedia--upon arriving and seeing a trailer full of cats, the desk staff smoking, doors with destroyed paint, pothole ridden parking lot. The place is awful and we would have felt unsafe and exposed to smoke and cat fur (one of our family members has severe allergies). I didn't even go in. I left a voicemail canceling our stay. Regrettably I didn't say why. I will be disputing the charges. "

"Check in took forever then we were assigned a room someone was already in .We had to go back down get another room after driving and being at the ball diamonds all day. Kids and adults were running up and down the halls yelling and slamming doors till 1:15am didn't get no sleep horrible experience."

"We enjoyed our stay. It would be lovely if the hotel could spruce it up a bit: the interior garden looks neglected, and the elevator decor needs attention, as did particular aspects of our bathroom. I would stay there again should my travels take me to Lansing."

"Very old and rundown hotel. Lots of stains on the floor and furniture. Beds were very old and worn out. Sheets and bedding seemed clean and bathrooms have been updated. Breakfast was okay with eggs sausage and waffles. Pool was cold and small. Not your typical Country Inn. They are updating the property but we would not recommend staying here until it is all updated."

"Property is run down , with many key locked doors broken and wide open to access. I stayed there with the reviews of other guests. The front desk person tried to charge me double of the rate as I secured through Expedia. But matched the pricing via my email confirmation. I would recommend staying somewhere else!!!!"

"The tubs could've been cleaner, had less hard water, and the WiFi could've been less spotty but overall the hotel was very immaculate, had excellent waitstaff, a nice large pool, a separate area for smoking which is a lifesaver for an asthmatic and decent breakfast offerings. You really can't complain. If this was an apartment It wouldn't be decent "

"Quite an unsafe property. Had to check out a night earlier because of unsafe conditions. No amenities were provided. No WiFi, no room service and bugs in the room."

"Room cleaned after I reached the hotel and kept me waiting for 15 Minute for cleaning even though it's pre booked. Toilet seats were dirty and not cleaned even after informing the team. Coffee machine was utter waste, the disposable cups were old and blackish spots in it. Coffee was horrible. Waste bin should be cleaned by us. They won't do it. Towels we need to replace each time by going to the reception and ask. It was a horrible stay here."

"Gary was very nice and helpful! I recommend contacting him for shuttle to and from the airport though since Google maps doesn't know how to find the house yet. I recommend coming here if you plan to stay for around a week since the sights are so pretty. My only critique is that I wish the bathtub was prepped for use but he wasn't expecting me to want to use it since we've entered the warmer season."

"Sprinklers and smoke alarm went off at 1 a.m. causing two floors to be evacuated, After a 45 minute wait we were allowed back in our room. Needless to say, ruined our stay."
