  • Welcome to Hummingbird Cottages, your perfect island getaway in the heart of Hope Town, Bahamas. Designed with traditional Bahamian Loyalist architecture and featuring all the modern comforts, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom rental is ideal for two couples seeking a peaceful retreat.

    Located just steps from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean, Hummingbird Cottages offer the ultimate in convenience and charm. You'll also be within easy walking distance of the public dock for your rental boat, as well as local grocery stores, gift shops, and restaurants.

    As you enter the Guest Cottage, you're welcomed by an open-concept floor plan with soaring cathedral ceilings and stunning exposed cedar beams, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. The fully equipped kitchen, complete with a generously sized island, flows seamlessly into the cozy living area, making it perfect for casual meals or relaxing after a day at the beach. The Guest Bedroom continues the theme of spaciousness with its high ceilings and features a private en suite bath, ensuring comfort and convenience.

    The Main Cottage is a charming two-story retreat. The galley-style kitchen is thoughtfully designed with custom wood cabinetry, offering ample storage and a touch of island elegance. Just down a small hallway, you'll find a large, comfortable living area, perfect for lounging or entertaining guests. Upstairs, the Master Bedroom spans the entire floor, providing a serene, private retreat with high ceilings and exposed beams. The en suite bath is also located upstairs, giving you complete privacy in your personal sanctuary.

    Both cottages are beautifully appointed, blending traditional Bahamian architecture with modern amenities to make your stay comfortable, stylish, and unforgettable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hummingbird Cottages are amazing. High quality, comfortable, well appointed. On site service was great. Huge lawn, private pool and beach access. We had the impression that it was multiple cottages where we would have one and share the grounds but it is all for the renter...amazing...nothing else like it in Hopetown.

Each cottage is equipped with a small kitchen, bedroom, bath and living area. Connecting the two is a lovely outdoor seating area. The yard and pool are private with amazing views of the ocean! Truly a gem!

Wonderful Spot in Hopetown

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We came to Hopetown with another couple and this property couldn't have been more perfect. We each had our own space, complete with kitchen, living area, bedroom and bath. The highlight though was the back porch area that looked out to an expansive lawn with pool. Beyond that was the gorgeous ocean. Completely walkable to all shops and restaurants in the little downtown area. And right across the street to the ferry dock. Robbie, our house manager, was very accommodating and wonderful to work with. Would stay there again.

It is close to town, restaurants, and shops, but still quiet and peaceful when you are back at the cottage. We had everything we needed, and it was spotless on arrival, which always sets the tone for a good stay.The management team was friendly, responsive, and easy to work with from booking through checkout. Overall, a really enjoyable stay and a place I would happily recommend and return to.
