Welcome to Fir Mountain Escape, where you and your guests will enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding Hood River Valley and Mt. Hood. If you are looking for a home away from home that you can really enjoy, look no further than Fir Mountain Escape. Located on five acres of land along the scenic Fruit Loop, this rental is the perfect rental for those that appreciate the beauty of nature.

A Spacious Vacation Rental
This 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home has more than enough space for your family and friends. I fact, there is enough space for 10 people. Each of the four bedrooms are quite spacious. The bathrooms are roomy and have full showers with one half-bath in the main living area. The rental is equipped with an open kitchen that faces the dining area. The living room is nicely decorated and cozy with a wood stove. You won't forget about the amazing cathedral ceiling. There are two decks—one in the shade and the other facing the sun.

Tons of Goodies to Enjoy
Fir Mountain Escape is a rental that has so much to offer that you just might not want to go outside. Smart TV in the living room. Check out the recreation room where you'll have access to air hockey and ping-pong as well as another television for entertainment. If you require office space for your vacation rental, there is a dedicated office that has two desks as well as a secure, wired internet connection. Come out to the deck where you can release stress with a soak in the hot tub while taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding pine trees and Mt. Adams.

Conveniently Located
Not only is Fir Mountain Escape an amazing mountain view home in Hood River, it is conveniently located so that you and your guests can enjoy exploring Hood River. Downtown Hood River is a 12-minute ride away offering access to restaurants, shopping as well as access to the Columbia River for water activities. If you are a wine lover, explore the many wineries to choose from in the area. A trip to Hood River is not complete without some time on the slopes. There are several ski areas located within a 20- to 45-minute ride from Fir Mountain Escape. Tea Cup Cross Country and Mt. Hood Meadows Ski resort are about 20-25 minutes away. The popular Timberline Lodge which offers year-round glacier skiing is 40 minutes away.

Vacation with Old College Friends

Great stay! The property was exactly as described. No surprises! My friends and I used the house for a base of operations to drive, hike and explore the surrounding Hood River area. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glassware and cookware. Bedrooms and baths were well supplied with linens, towels and soaps. Laundry was also set up well with the necessary supplies. Very happy with the experience.

Clean and cozy - and an amazing view!

The grounds were well kept, the home was clean and cozy, and the view was amazing. The toys and games were well loved—the air hockey and ping pong tables are at the end of life (the ping pong table was still serviceable, air hockey was not). Ultimately the games were a bonus and not the draw to this location. Overall, it was a great experience and we would stay here again.

Relaxing Thanksgiving Holiday

We stayed three nights at this beautiful home in the woods over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was well appointed and we had everything we need to cook up a feast. The house was very comfortable and clean. The setting was incredible. Deck surrounded by Doug firs and oak trees overlooking the Hood River valley. We were glad we were able to bring our dog with us. However, a warning to other dog owners is be aware that if you explore this awesome 5 acre property with your pooch there are many burrs and ticks in the grass. Overall, we were extremely happy with the rental and the management company was fantastic. I would definitely go back.

Family Windsurfing Vacation

This was the perfect getaway for our family windsurfing vacation! My husband and I, plus our two grown children with their significant others stayed three nights. The home was just far enough out of town to give us the privacy we liked and close enough to town to experience windsurfing, tennis and the local eateries. House was perfect having 3 floors so we all had our own sleeping floor. There was another bedroom with two twin beds we didn’t use, but definitely will someday when grandchildren arrive! We will absolutely rent this house again for our next trip to Hood River!

Hood River wedding

We loved staying at Fir Mountain, the house was large and clean and nicely accommodated all of us. The surrounding property was beautiful and the view was amazing. The kitchen well stocked and the hot tub was a bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

Daughter’s Wedding

We could not have asked for a better location to host our friends and family who traveled from out of state and out of country to attend our daughter’s wedding up at Grateful Vineyard. The layout of the home was perfect and it lacked nothing. We will definitely be back the next time we spend a Hood River weekend with friends and family.

We really enjoyed the Fir Mountain Escape. We were in town for a weeding and it was a great location for us. The house was clean and the whole process with Arrived went smooth. The only suggestions we have is some sort of stepping stones for the front walk and the kitchen is a bit dated but overall was a great stay!

Family lodging off the beaten path

Loved the location. Plenty of room. The master bedroom worked great in that my daughter could put two Pack N Play beds in the office space/room; however she had to hang beach towels over the windows because there were no blinds. The dining table fit all of us; but it would be nice to have a booster seat or high chair for baby or toddler. The basement would be a great space for teens if a table and chairs were added to make puzzles, play cards, etc. Air hockey game didn't really work well and ping pong paddles need replacing. Had to clean out the dryer lint screen before using; it was packed with lint. Kitchen was well stocked but the non-stick pans need to be replaced because the coating was damaged and not safe to use. I reorganized cabinets as things were randomly misplaced in various cabinets, etc. I would add plastic drinking glasses; especially some taller drinkware. Nice to have individual room air units. Bathrooms were well stocked. Bedrooms well stocked. Overall, Fir Mtn. was a perfect fit for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Plenty of room to spread out.

Beautiful and spacious home. Instructions for trash pick up were somewhat confusing… we’re still not sure if we did it right but we hope so! ( we put the cans at the end of the driveway)

Great Retreat

Large, warm, and welcoming home. Situated on a large plot of land leaving neighbors far away. Reasonably close to downtown Hood RIver, e.g. < 10/12 mins travel. Beds are comfortable. House is clean. Lots of kitchenware. Views are very good. Would stay there again.
