Wonderful property, great support team from Epic Realty. everything was wonderful. We stayed at Kuleana Resort 4 times, and we've recommended it to several of our friend, and we will stay there again if we have a chance.

We loved our stay. Just steps from the water. Only downside, it was hot in the condo. Only ac is in the bedroom. The bedroom stayed cold but the living room stayed hot.

Overall was an amazing experience, the location was great. The only thing we didn’t like was that the cleaning was very minimal. Dishes were not cleaned properly and random things like tv remotes were greasy and not cleaned properly as well. Other than that, everything was great!

Ocean at your lanai

Enjoyed our stay. Centrally located. Quiet. Loved having the ocean so close that we could see turtles and even got to enjoy the small sandy beach for about a week.

Beautiful view and very well kept up to date condo. It was perfect for my husband and I. Has everything you need to relax and enjoy your time in Maui. I would rent this place again.

The condo is in great condition. It was so relaxing to sit on the Lanai and watch turtles and whales (bring your binoculars! ) and listen to the ocean. The grounds are beautiful on the ocean-facing side of the property. There were plenty of beach chairs, beach towels, and even a couple of boogie boards. The kitchen was well-equipped basic dishes and cookware in great condition. The condo was clean, and the a/c was running when we arrived on a very warm day. The furniture is comfortable.We received our check-in instructions a few days ahead. Questions were answered promptly and politely. Check-out requirements were very easy.Things you should know before you go:The condo is steps from the ocean, but it's not a wide sandy beach. It's rocky, and the sand comes and goes with the waves. Some pictures show a small beach you can step down to. When we were there in February 2026, there was a short but steep climb down to sand when we arrived. By the time we left there was no sand at all as a stormy ocean had carried it away. There are lovely sandy beaches a short drive away. The parking spaces are *very* small, and we had rented a large-ish vehicle. There was always parking available, but it was often difficult to maneuver into. All in all, we had a lovely stay even during a big storm, and we look forward to returning. We would totally stay in the same condo.

Maui Wowie at Kuhleana

Once we opened the door to our unit our eyes locked in on the view of the ocean framed by green grass and palm tree. “Aloha, we are in paradise!” There were turtles swimming in the beach just steps from our lanai ! And we have never seen so many whales from our unit! The sandy beach just steps away from our unit comes and goes with the tide, but the water was warm and this was a great place to swim or snorkel or paddle board! The unit is well appointed. The mattress is very soft. The condos have a heated pool, shuffle board and tikis. At sunset there is the blowing of the conch shells. So fun, we are already talking about coming back! I wish I could say something to disuade you from renting this unit cuz I don’t want it to be booked up and not available for our next visit! Lol! Thank you for renting us this great place! Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing place

The condo was amazing. Clean, easy to check in and out and basic necessities to get you through are there. Having the walkout was perfect to access the beach and watching the turtles swim by was nothing short of amazing. I would definitely book here again!

It’s truly amazing to be able to go swimming, snorkeling right out your door. We loved to watch the paddle boarders. We also enjoyed being able to swim in the pool every afternoon and meet wonderful people. My husband’s favorite place to grill in the world in the “common” area watching the sunset, whales and having conversation with others. We are so appreciative to be able to stay. Mahalo.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are NOT resort people, we like the freedom to be able to cook for ourselves. Our unit, in my opinion, was the BEST on the property. Literally feet from the beach and a super short walk to the pool. The actual location is close enough to local shops for a walk to coffee every morning, but still far enough away from things that it's very quiet. Parking is plentiful and safe. Gorgeous sunsets!

Living in paradise

This was our second stay at the Kuleana, and again we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This unit is 3rd from the end, bottom floor, close to the small sandy beach, which is practically your backyard. Literally walk out to the beach from the lanai, across some grass and there is the ocean. The beach was washed away the first few days, but made a fast return with the calmer seas. You can snorkel and swim right outside the condo. We watched turtles surfing while eating dinner on the lanai. The surf is LOUD, sounds like waves are breaking in your living room. As for the unit, it is comfortable for a couple and small child, but more than that and you'll be very cozy. Foldout is pretty good for kids and smaller people. Two nice tvs, but we didn't use them because there's so much to do outside. The pool is heated and big and a short walk away. As are bbq's. Worth mentioning is the sugar ants... can keep anything open out on the counter or shelves, or the ants will march in. We just put everything into the fridge or microwave, and always wiped up really well. If you want a more relaxed vacation, away from hectic crowds but so close to the best snorkeling on Maui, this is the place. Beautiful grounds, quiet and lovely. I highly recommend.

Beautiful oceanfront location. Tammy very helpful as property manager. Design of apartments is smaller than pictured on the VRBO site. Wide angle lens. Pretty claustrophobic, nicely decorated. Had trouble meeting up with the guy in charge of parking permits / bad system there. Great sunsets.
