Entire Waterfront Property on the Spit

Experience the charm and beauty of Homer, Alaska with our large townhouse located at the end of the renowned Homer Spit. This beachfront oasis offers the perfect retreat, ensuring a restful stay. Wake up to the soothing sounds of waves crashing on the shore, and enjoy stunning sunsets that paint the sky with vibrant hues right from your doorstep. With its inviting ambiance and breathtaking views you'll feel instantly at home as you immerse yourself in the tranquility of this paradise.

This condo is one of the greatest places to experience the beauty and grandeur of Alaska. Enjoy the oceanfront and beach on the Homer Spit steps away from the door. You will be within walking distance to your charter fishing trip in the harbor, water taxi ride across the bay to hike the glaciers, local fare, shops and additional ocean wildlife and backpacking excursions.

This condo is separated into 2 units with a total of 4 bedrooms (1 being a studio). The top unit has a fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and an open deck off of the living room on the second floor. The kitchen is stocked with essentials to jumpstart your creative cooking endeavors and even coffee and tea to begin your early mornings on the water. The lower unit is a studio with 2 queen beds, similar to a hotel room. There is a microwave, coffee maker and quaint refrigerator for use.

Easily access the main floor unit and lower unit through keyless entry pads. Ocean front access has two sets of doors too. There are washer and dryers for guest use and detergent is provided.

Although we will not be available in person, we're happy to respond promptly in your preferred OTA booking site promptly.

The prime location of the townhouse provides easy access to a variety of activities and attractions. Engage in fishing adventures, kayak along the bay, or embark on a memorable wildlife tour to witness majestic marine creatures or wild birds in their natural surroundings. The Spit offers delightful shops, dine at tasty eateries, and peruse art galleries all within a short stroll. Don’t forget to make time to search the tide pools to see if you can find sea stars, jellyfish and other amazing ocean life!

Video Cameras and Noise Monitoring

Video Surveillance cameras monitor the exterior of our home. Footage remains private and may be used for liability reasons and to monitor occupancy and other policies noted here. It in no way infringes upon the expectation of privacy in these public areas. Additionally, we have installed noise monitors in the property to ensure that our guests have a comfortable and peaceful stay. These monitors help us detect any excessive noise levels that may disturb the neighbors, (they do NOT record any conversations, just decibel levels). We want to ensure that everyone has a great experience during their stay with us and that everyone can enjoy a peaceful environment.

These devices are not located in any private spaces such as bathrooms or bedrooms and have been installed for the safety and security of our guests and the property as well as to minimize disturbances to neighbors.
We take your privacy and security seriously, and we want to ensure that you feel safe and comfortable during your stay with us. If you have any concerns or questions about our security measures, please do not hesitate to contact us. We hope you enjoy your stay with us and have a memorable experience.

When booking directly our cancellation policy is as follows:
Fully refundable if guests cancels within 48 hours of booking AND its at least 14 full days prior to check in.
50% refund of accommodation fees and taxes (minus a 4% credit card processing fee), cancellation must be made 7 full days prior to check in time.
If the guest cancels less than 7 days in advance or decides to leave early after check-in, the nights not spent are not refunded.
Extenuating Circumstances Policy:
When this Policy allows for cancellation, it controls and takes precedence over the reservation’s cancellation policy. Guests that are impacted by an event covered by this Policy can cancel their reservation and receive, depending on the circumstances, a cash refund or credit can be given. If the Host is impacted by an event covered by this Policy they can cancel without adverse consequences, but, depending on the circumstances, their calendars may be blocked for the dates of the cancelled reservation.

What events are covered

This Policy uses the term “Event” to refer to the following situations that occur after booking, are unforeseen at the time of booking, and prevent or legally prohibit completion of the reservation.

Changes to government travel requirements. Unexpected changes to visa or passport requirements imposed by a governmental agency that prevent travel to the destination. This doesn’t include lost or expired travel documents or other personal circumstances relating to a guest’s authorization to travel.

Declared emergencies and epidemics. Government declared local or national emergencies, epidemics, pandemics, and public health emergencies. This does not include diseases that are endemic or commonly associated with an area—for example, malaria in Thailand or dengue fever in Hawaii.

Government travel restrictions. Travel restrictions imposed by a governmental agency that prevent or prohibit traveling to, staying at, or returning from the Listing location. This does not include non-binding travel advisories and similar government guidance.

Military actions and other hostilities. Acts of war, hostilities, invasions, civil war, terrorism, explosions, bombings, rebellions, riots, insurrection, civil disorder, and civil unrest.

Natural disasters. Natural disasters, acts of God, large-scale outages of essential utilities, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and other severe and abnormal weather events. This does not include weather or natural conditions that are common enough to be foreseeable in that location—for example, hurricanes occurring during hurricane season in Florida.

What is not covered: Everything else.

HOUSE RULES:

We’ve put a lot of effort into making this into a lovely space to be enjoyed by our guests.

Please ensure you read and fully understand the house rules at the beginning of your stay.
Failure to follow any of these house rules is a breach of the terms and conditions of your reservation. If anything in our House Rules is unclear, please contact us.

We reserve the right to evict any guest or visitor who fails to adhere to our house rules.

Outline below are our House Rules that we ask you to abide by:
- No parties or events allowed.

- Smoking or vaping of any kind is not permitted anywhere on the property (this includes inside the house), If there is evidence of smoking on the property guests will be subject to an additional fee of $1,000.00 plus actual costs of cleaning and deodorizing the property.

- No pets allowed unless previously agreed upon. Any unauthorized pets will result in an additional fee of $100/night.
: Please ensure that your pet is inside the house during nighttime.
: Guests will be responsible for cleaning up after their pet.
: Please don’t allow your pet onto any furniture.

- No unregistered guests allowed overnight at the property. A maximum of 4 visitors allowed during the day. Any extra overnight visitors must be approved in advance.
: Unauthorized guests will be charged an additional $50 per person, per night. It is the responsibility of the renter to ensure that any visitor also comply with our house rules.

- Please respect check-in and check-out times.
: There will be an additional fee of $100/hour in the event you are not out by the stated check-out time. Late check out may be permitted 24+ hours in advance.

- No illegal substances allowed on the premises.

- Please do not try to flush any sanitary products, baby wipes, or “flushable wipes” down the toilet.

- Children should be supervised at all times at our property by an adult.
: Guests are responsible for the safety of their children at all times.

- In case you misplace a personal belonging, please contact us so that we keep an eye open when we prepare the property for the next guests.

- We hope you have lots of laughter and fun times during your vacation! However, we’d really appreciate it if you’re mindful and keep noise to a minimum during nighttime hours.
: Quite hours are from 10pm to 8am.

- If you encounter any issues with our neighbors, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible.
: If any neighbors report excessive noise, your vacation rental agreement could be terminated and you’ll be asked to leave our property.

Our family and friends were so lucky to find this waterfront home available. In the past we have always camped on The Spit. Being there were more of us, this home was ideal as it had plenty of space. It was absolutely clean and comfortable. The host was very helpful. No complaints whatsoever. If it is available- grab it! Mary, formerly from Sitka

The townhouse was a beautiful place to stay while we were in Homer. My husband and I along with another couple found the home perfect for our getaway. It was wonderful to have room to lounge and relax after our day exploring. Being on the beach was the perfect location and it was absolutely gorgeous! Our only regret is that we did not stay longer.

This is our second time at this property. It is just as beautiful as before. The house is amazing, the porch opens up to the beach with a mountain view directly across the water. It is perfect for couples with separate bedrooms and bathrooms. We try to stay here every time we are in Homer.

Check in was easy, although the frustration of remembering two codes (one for the outer door and one for the inside door) got old really quick. Anyone that knows those locks knows that each lock can have multiple codes. The location is perfect. The home has a bit of a funky layout but the views from the upstairs bedrooms were breathtaking. The cleanliness could use some help. It didn't feel clean as soon as we walked in and finding empty water bottles and trash/food wrappers under the beds confirmed those feelings. Some silverware in the drawers was not clean. The home could definitely use some updating/repairs as the flooring was buckled in places on the main level.

We thoroughly enjoyed this awesome house on the Homer Spit. This was our 3rd of 4 stops on our Alaskan family road trip adventure. Cooked some fresh caught fish on the smoker on the deck and enjoyed a lovely late night campfire with s’mores on the beach. It was truly amazing. Wonderful memories to remember for a lifetime!
