"On check in I had to join the bar queue which wasn't great. There was no hairdryer in the room. The room was a little tired looking. However, the staff are great, the pub is really well presented and the food is first class. The negatives were small compared to the positives. We had a great stay and would go back in a flash."

"Very polite and helpful staff very clean and tidy general areas and the rooms were immaculate some furniture looked a little dated but certainly were not damaged in any way and still very servicable I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others."

"My daughter and I stayed in the Orme lodge, it was lovely. Nice and warm, squirrels outside the windows. Hot tub is just a hot tub - not one with bubbles! so don't look for a button to press lol Very peaceful. If you go with kids (i went with teenager) then maybe take a laptop to watch netflix etc on. wifi connection great. Don't wear sliders on your feet when trying to do the fire or else you will slip on the mud which is hilarious to a teenager btw. Hot tub takes about 4 hours to...

"It was the perfect dog friendly place to stay, good position between coast and hills and forest. Everything we needed for comfort, Sandra (the owner)is next door for any issues you may have, the village is very pretty and perfect for dog walks with lots of lanes through the country if you don't fancy going to far, would highly recommend"
