We’ve stayed at several properties on the island and this was definitely our favorite. The rooms were spacious and it was great having multiple bathrooms. We stayed in the MBR but our guests in the other BRs said their mattress were not very comfortable. Other than that, we loved the property.

Family Fun

Perfect location! Only 1 block from the beach. We walked back and forth to the beach many times each day. Plenty of room in the house for our large multi-generational family. 5 bathrooms was a huge bonus!

Nice, clean and very close to the Beach

Gulfside Oasis was very nice. Very clean at check-in time and the beach was only about 200 feet or so away. We had a small hiccup with an appliance, but Anna Maria Vacation Rentals responded immediately and took care of it.

Just the right place for our adult/married children and five grandchildren.

We did pool and beach over and over all day. Our grandchildren are ages, 10 years, 7 years, 4 years, 18 months and 11 months. Very nicely accommodated all 11 of us. I would like to point out that on the main floor balcony there were two plastic chairs that were badly broken and dangerous, very sharp. Also on that same balcony one of the tops to the railing could be lifted off and could possibly fall onto a car below.

Perfect location!

There were 11 of us who stayed at this property. Three families total ages ranging from 15-40s. This property was plenty big enough for all of us. The location to the beach was perfect and the property came with lots of beach chairs, towels, an umbrella and a wagon. We loved the backyard pool space. It was perfect for those afternoon swims to cool off.

Great Place to Stay

The house and location were fantastic. One block to the beach. Management was very responsive to any concerns or problems. Hot tub needed service and they quickly arrived on site to resolve issues. Replaced the outside TV quickly. Very minimal basic supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, plastic wrap, napkins, etc). No cooking supplies provided (oils, spices, etc.). Be prepared to purchase all the basics.Overall, we really enjoyed our time and would stay in the house again.

Hurricane Helene

The property was great and in a great location. Well stocked and clean. It could use a little TLC. The only problems were that we had to evacuate mid week because of Hurricane Helene (no fault of the property owners or VRBO of course). The biggest issue I had was that upon arrival Saturday night, the code that was given to me for the lock box for the key did not work. It was after hours and the two telephone numbers that I called were not answered (including the after hours number. we had two small children with us and a car full of groceries and weren't sure what we were going to do (hotel...and what to do with the groceries). Luckily, we found a sliding glass door unlocked and were able to let ourselves in. I would suggest in the future a keyless entry lock...and mostly for the fact that such a large house that can hold a lot of people and only one key was a bit of a problem. Keyless solves that issue.

Nice spot close to the beach!

Overall this property was great for our stay. We had two families stay (9 people total) with plenty of room to spread out. The location was great-close to the beach and very central on the island. The washer and dryer’s seemed new so no issues there (previous reviews mentioned that one of the units didn’t work). The biggest complaints were the lack pf proper kitchen utensils and other tools. There was hardly any flatware and most of the pots, pans, etc were in rough shape. Also, some of the property photos were not accurate. For example, there is no longer a large dining table on the patio by the pool anymore, which was very disappointing. We had been looking forward to hanging out and dining by the pool and that made it difficult. Also, it is very shaded by the pool area, so just something to consider. Other than that, we really enjoyed the house and loved the island.

Great location

This property was exactly what I’d imagined. I give it five stars for location, very spacious and comfortable. As with any rental property maintenance is huge. We did have to call a couple times for a couple fixes–one being the kitchen faucet handle fell off. Another being the upstairs dryer not drying clothes. Sounds like upstairs dryer has had previous issues mentioned in previous posts. It was not resolved but we managed with one dryer. The pool could have used a good cleaning. It was filled with leaves upon arrival. We decided to tackle this project ourselves. The hot tub does not heat. It might just be considered a spa and not a hot tub but once again not a huge issue for our group. But if you want it hot you might have to inquire first before booking. The home could use is a new can opener (doesn’t work). And a beach wagon. Hauling beach stuff without a wagon is definitely a chore and a work out. Thankfully we had many hands but if your traveling with toddlers or infants, it would make it easier if the home supplied a beach wagon for use. All in all, the home was great for our family of 11. And a very close distance to beach (walk across road) and beautiful sunsets every night!

Had excellent time at property 12/31/22-1/7/23

We had a group of 9 staying at the property for a vacation. The home is very nice with enough bedrooms/bathrooms for everyone and living space. The heated pool and hot tub were used every night. If had maintenance issues (issues with kitchen faucet and upstairs dryer), they were taken care of very quickly. The location is also great as well. Only half a block away form the beach entrance. The neighborhood is pretty quiet. Grocery stores and restaurants are very close to the property. Golf cart rentals are also available and we saw many of them around the island. The only traffic issues were because of construction at the corner of Gulf Rd and Marine Rd that caused some detours leaving the island. Overall, we would highly recommend this property to any family/friends that want a great beach/sun experience.

Gulf Aide Oasis will not disappoint

We had a wonderful stay at Gulf Side Oasis. Our family of 11 traveled to AMI to enjoy a week of warm weather and sandy beaches. This house had plenty of room for us all and was just across the street from the beach. We enjoyed the secluded backyard pool and hot tub in the evenings after a day at the beach. The house provides lots of towels...... both bath and beach. The beach chairs and sand toys were a nice addition. Everybody raved over the comfortable beds. We hope to come back again!

Perfect location

The location of this house can’t be beat. So close to the beach. The house is very large and has plenty of room. The pool area is super cute but it is so shaded that the mosquitoes were awful. To the point we could not sit outside by the pool. We contacted the management company to see if they could fog but they said no. Also the upstairs dryer does not work. They did send someone right out to fix it but it still did not work. Overall this is a great house but for the price you would think they could fix the dryer and it was not very clean upon arrival.

"A little disappointed"

Our stay at the Gulfside Oasis was 2/5/22 - 3/5/22. Walking in the property looked very fresh and inviting. Then we noticed the little things that once you notice just don't leave your mind. Greasy, dusty, smudged pendant lights over breakfast counter and the light over the little round table very dirty. We cleaned these. Upstairs the light in the hallway was dusty, and quite filled with those little bugs that are attracted to light, crawl in, and then die. We weren't able to reach it to clean it. On the subject of lights we had to purchase light bulbs for some of the lamps. The ceiling fan blades were caked with dust. The washer/dryer area was very, very dusty. The dryers were not working properly. I will say the guest service people we spoke regularly were very understanding and tried very hard to have things done. The one TV didn't work. That was also VERY dusty. Anyway the office knew that TV was not working because that was replaced within a day. The dryers.....Again I know the guest services were well aware of the condition of these dryers. (I had called two days into our stay to let them know of the issues) As a matter of fact several items of clothing were ruined because of the dryers. One of the very nice repairmen even took pictures of the clothes. Also the washer upstairs had mold on the wide rubber gasket around the drum. Then we were notified that the dryers were being replaced on the Saturday we were leaving. (Not much help to us) We were offered laundry service. We are all 72 to 88 years old and not very comfortable with that arrangement.....but thank you. The adirondack chairs on the lanai were dry rotted. My husband sat in one and it collapsed backwards....no harm done...just quite a shock. They were replaced immediately. My opinion of rental property, that comes at a price like this one, is that ALL appliances should be maintained, cleaned and repaired on a regular basis. Also the gas grill was FILTHY. We cleaned that also. The house itself is easy to care for. It's the little things that I feel the property owner should be made aware of immediately. It is a beautiful house, a beautiful pool area (as i read in many reviews the pool area is very shaded...that was not a big surprise) Again, for the most part very satisfied. Just be sure your cleaning company thinks about the items that when they catch the sun can look pretty awful. Beautiful house, beautiful location..just show it some TLC.

Great location but House Needs Work

This house is in a great location but you can definitely tell it has been rented a lot. There are so many things that need to be fixed or just need some fresh paint. The pools lights don't work and every morning the pool is low on water which means there is a leak somewhere. This was reported but the pool guy who came said he doesn't fix the lights and just to keep the hose running in the pool. The washer on the bottom floor doesn't work and the dryer on the top floor doesn't work. The cabinets in the kitchen need painted they look awful. the foosball table basically fell apart when the kids went to play with it and should be removed or it will hurt someone. TO many things wrong to list and really didn't want to spend my vacation calling the management company everyday so we dealt with most of the issues. This could be a great rental and for the price we paid we should have had a better experience. Very disappointed.

Beautiful Home

This is a beautiful home in a great location. The beach is beautiful, great restaurants and lots to do. We'll go back. A couple of little things to note - We arrived on a Saturday and discovered the pool to be discolored; we thought it hadn't been cleaned. They sent the pool company over on Monday (contractors can't work on the island on the weekends). He cleaned the pool but said the discoloration is from the warn liner; he said it was not dirty. We had to wash the silverware and dishes before using them; the people before us must have put them away dirty. Our shower didn't drain too good, but the bathrooms are very beautiful. New chairs on the balcony would be nice too and a deep cleaning a couple of times a year would make it shine. Overall, the house was clean and comfortable - we'll definitely go back again.

location was outstanding.

the house was beautiful and the location was outstanding . The house has been rented a lot and it shows . The kitchen only had 3 spoons ,one warped skillet, and half a toaster. Also the upstairs dryer did not work. Headed a little bit but never dried a load. Also the house was dirty as well as the pool. We had to clean both prior to using.

Disappointed

Upon checking, they were still cleaning the property almost hour after check in time. We had to stand outside and wait while they finished. Trash was still left and we found piles of dirt/sand pushed in corners of closets and corners of the house that were never removed. The pool was dirty and we had to clean it before anyone could swim. No one came to professionally clean it until Tuesday (we arrived on Saturday). When they cleaned the pool, it was extremely chlorinated to the point it was irritating our skin and burning our eyes. The tv on the outside patio, which we were looking forward to using a lot did not work and never did get fixed or replaced during our stay, despite us calling everyday about it. It was an amenity advertised yet did not work. The air conditioning unit on the second floor did not work properly all week even though we left the thermostat alone and did what they asked us to do. They was a constant puddle of water in the front of our house which required us to walk into the neighbors property to get around. The location was great; however, for the amount of money we paid to stay there was a lot of disappointing things.

Family Vaca

Great property with a nicely shaded pool to relax in after going to the beach all day. Proximity to beach was amazing. Balcony views of the water and beach breeze made the morning coffee taste even better!!
