The proximity to the beach while offering sound and ocean views makes this house a wonderful property for your next family vacation. Outside, the 4 deck areas offering scenic surrounding views as well. The comfortable master suite with large separate tub and shower, second queen bedroom with sitting area, and twin beds room with access to deck spaces are sure to remind you of your beachy locale! The traditionally styled yet light and inviting kitchen with a breakfast bar island perfect for preparing meals and the dining space is large enough to accommodate everyone. Located only a very short walk from the Atlantic Ocean via the public beach access at the beginning of Crocker Ave.

House and location were wonderful. Great decks for viewing sunset/sunrise. Supoort staff was very responsive and nice. Kitchen was missing a few essentials: can opener, hot pads, and only one pot holder. Areas that cleaning staff wouldn't notice - dirty frying pan, and unemptied charcoal grill. 3 charcoal grills but Papa bear grill didnt have a handle for the lid and couldnt get it off. Mama bear grill was full of ashes and dirty grill and Baby bear grill was too low and too low, so didnt look at it.

Perfect location

After reading the reviews of the poor condition this property was in I rented anyway anticipating that the issues would have been taken of care of. Sadly, no it was worse. After I spent the first night with a magic eraser to make the kitchen livable, I contacted maintenance to clean the sticky sandy floors. They sent a prompt cleaning crew who did a good job. This property is in serious need of a deep cleaning and maintenance. The torn chairs are still there along with a fan that’s about to fly off of the ceiling in the underneath. The remotes for tvs had no batteries( we had to buy)!! The location is great being between the sound and the ocean. The views were beautiful! It’s a shame it was so dirty.

Expected better

When we first walked in I noted 2 chairs who's cushions were shredded! Pillows were put on them to try to hide it, but there was no way to hide that amount of damage. General maintenance had been neglected, including missing/ burnt out light bulbs, damaged lamps, a blind that didn't work, upstairs balcony door that the wind kept popping open. Internet was out for 3 & 1/2 days! Reality company acted like it was somehow our fault, then claimed there was an outage but somehow the neighbors still had TV. Check in was an hour late with no compensation in time. Redeeming qualities: location was great.

This is a great property in a perfect location! Once the cleaning and furniture issues are addressed this property will have 5 stars reviews out the kazoo!

Great location but dirty.

If you are looking for a commercialized vacation home rental this is it. Not a personalized vacation rental. Location amazing, you can here the ocean from the master bedroom only one block from ocean. But the house itself is in need of general maintenance, leather couches are dirty,smelly,and cracked, two living room side chairs cushions are so sun rotted can’t be set on. When opening up front and back doors to get a breeze through the house piles of dog hair came out from under the furniture. If those issues are resolved we would come back.

Great ,Bright

The house was a nice size and so bright from all the light. Can’t beat the four decks and views unless you are on the ocean. The WiFi was not working when we checked in and the problem required the cable company to come out. We checked in on a Saturday and the WiFi was not serviced until Tuesday. They also had a scheduled AC check our week. So we had to be present and let these workers in. Luckily they both came the same time. The company did not offer anything for the inconvenience of the WiFi not working for three nights. The master and one of the upstairs bedrooms could have king sized beds instead.

Great Place with one exception

Everything was really great with one exception. This is not to be critical, but to help for the future. The internet was not working. The management company's response was terrible. 1) Tried to get me to reset everything, which I did several times. 2) Took two days to send someone out to look at it, which concluded that something was wrong. 3) Took another two days to send two people out to look at it, which concluded (as I did) that the modem wasn't working. 4) Then after another day, called the internet provider and expected my party to take time out of our vacation to meet the service provider at the house. He did not show up at the appointed time. After waiting over an hour, we had to leave for dinner. All in all, with the internet down, this made things very very difficult to do the routine work I had to do during the vacation. I would give the management team a very low mark because of this. They should have came out immediately and resolved the issue instead of texting suggestions. That is the other issue, calling the management company and never talking to a real person. This should be fixed. Also, if the house is ready, people should not have to wait until 4:00pm to check in. I just think overall the property management could be more responsive and vacationer-friendly. Notwithstanding, the property itself and its location to the beach is outstanding.

Could use a good deep cleaning

The only complaints I have are the cleanliness. The wicker kitchen table was gross. A lot of stickiness and stuck on old food from other people. The walls could use a magic eraser at least. It is dog friendly, so I can see not wanting to spend the money to repaint all the time. But magic erasers work well. The light fixtures and vents were very dirty. Some of the vents look like they have mold. Not sure if it’s mold or just old. There was a lot of damage. Which I don’t mind. Only thing I worry about is getting blamed for it. Chair in one of the rooms was broken. Closet door was broken. Blinds in kitchen were broken. Couches are very worn and the chair was ripped. We only need a place to sleep and shower when on vacation, so i don’t care too much. As long as I don’t get blamed for any of it. Beds were comfortable. Access to the beach was a short walk. The area was perfect. Not busy at all during our stay. I would stay here again. I would just hope they hire a better cleaning person, since i read a few complaints about the cleanliness. I don’t like guessing how clean a place really is.

Can't Beat the Location

Overall, the stay was great. The location was absolutely perfect, with water views from multiple places in the house and the beach was a short walk away. The house was a bit dates and could use a little touch up work, but it is also dog friendly so I can understand the wear and tear a bit. I would stay here again!

Between the Sea and the Sound

We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Capri. All the systems of the house worked just fine. There were lots of little extras around in case we had forgotten essentials for the kitchen. The colors on the walls, and simple but refined decor made for a refreshing and relaxing atmosphere. We would recommend this place to others, and would also enjoy staying there again.

Beautiful Location!!!

Although the place was a rental and in a great location it could use some updating. New bulbs for the can lighting and fresh paint would go a long way. It was picked up, but not as clean as I would like. Walls, trim and windows need a good cleaning. Also, the outside furniture was very dirty.

So peaceful!

Lovely home so close to the beach! Perfect location for a relaxing beach vacation. We had lots of space to enjoy. House was clean and bright- and had a well stocked kitchen which made it easy to prepare and cook meals. It was just perfect!

Great house for dogs. No carpet, gates available and porch had gate! Kitchen supplies could use updating. Refrigerator missing shelves. Vacuum not working. Was comfortable but could use good cleaning and redecorating. Beach access is great! Views good. Loved hanging out under house! We would stay here again.

Good Location & Easy Beach Access

The property is worthy of 5 stars and was perfect for our family. It was just as advertised. When we arrived there was some damage in the house that the property manager (Tony) took care of the next day. Then the first time we wanted use the dryer we found wet towels inside of it (not ours) and the drying cycle didn't work. We let the property manager know on day 2 of our stay and he informed us that the appliance store was closed on Sunday and he would follow up. We texted him again on Wednesday and called on Thursday. We received no reply either time. Our next communication with the property manager was our checkout instructions via email with no mention of the broken dryer. We managed by air drying our clothes over the railing of the property. Except for the dryer not working everything else was perfect. The property manager's lack of followup communication equates to the 4 star overall rating.

Great location, poor rental company

Pros: great location, comfortable beds, nice views, great space outside under the house! Cons: rental company was not responsive to communication and scheduled a contractor 2 separate times during the week! Contractor entered the house the first time with no mask! There was no functioning wine opener, too little seating in living room area, chairs outside master were very rickety!

Lovely beach retreat

Perfect location for a beach getaway. We had a fabulous week on this NC barrier island. A great respite from our urban life.
