Bridge No 25 at Hockley Heath, Solihull The bridge carries the A3400 Stratford Road between Solihull and Stratford-upon-Avon. The Stratford-upon-Avon Canal was built from King's Norton Junction (with the Worcester and Birmingham Canal) to Kingswood Junction (with the Warwick and Birmingham Canal - now Grand Union Canal) by 1803. A second phase of construction started in 1812, and by 1815 was connected to the River Avon in Stratford. Total length 25.5 miles, with 54 locks.

Stratford-upon-Avon Canal at Hockley Heath, Solihull. The canal is seen here from below the arch of Bridge No 25, which carries the A4300 Stratford Road from Solihull. Nice hotel. Some parts of the room were dated. There was a strange sewage smell from the bathroom as soon as we entered the room and it stayed with us during our stay. Other than that, the hotel and room were nice.
