  • Welcome to this charming home, nestled in the heart of Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort! With two spacious living rooms and a beautifully renovated Jack-and-Jill bathroom (completely updated in 2025 with a sleek tiled walk-in shower and modern vanity), this home is the perfect retreat for family and friends. Relax and unwind in the comfort of your own private pool and spa, or enjoy home-cooked meals in a fully-equipped kitchen featuring refinished cabinetry and brand-new appliances, including a propane range.

    Both the upstairs king bedroom and the trundle bed room have been beautifully refreshed, ensuring a relaxing and modern stay. With a large living room, a dining area that comfortably seats 12, and two cozy sitting rooms, there’s plenty of space for everyone to gather and enjoy each other’s company. Each bedroom is equipped with a flat-screen HDTV, making it easy to enjoy a movie night or catch up on your favorite shows.

    Step outside onto your private deck, where you can dine al fresco while overlooking the peaceful 11-mile lagoon system. Have a kayak? You’ll love the convenience of launching from your own dock! And when you're ready to hit the beach, the ocean is just a half mile down the road.

Bathrooms,other than the bath in the Master suite, and mattresses need updating/replacing. Great for a large family (up to 10)

Also didnt know wifi and pool lights goes away after 12am, kinda of a bummer when you want to see a movie or stay longer out there

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are returning guests always counting down the days for our next trip to Palmetto Dunes. Our plan is to have an annual family reunion trip to Hilton Head. We love the island and Palmetto Dunes in particular. However, due to the cleanliness of the property, our minds have changed. My daughter and son-in-law were staying in the upstairs king room. When they went to bed the first night, they found a wet TOILET BOWEL CLEANING BRUSH under their pillows. Cannot even imagine how this could be an accident. They washed their linens and didn't tell me about it until after the trip (didn't want to upset me). I was horrified to hear about it. This was our third annual stay, and I'm so sad that I just don't feel the same about coming back.

Thanksgiving Week at 3 Midstream

Reviewer Comments: We loved the lagoon location, first time we had not stayed on one of Palmetto Dunes' lakes. it was not the best fishing experience but we really enjoyed boating the lagoon and watching the herons. The kitchen could use a thorough deep clean, but we were able to cook our Thanksgiving meal without any problems, and the house was very comfortable for our family of three and three guests.

Nicer than expected

The home was very clean with new carpeting. We did find a couple of dead bugs but I guess they were dead which is a testament to the spray they used :) I assume they would have been found if someone did a walkthrough of the house the day we took possession. the pool’s spa couldn’t be separately heated up which didn’t make sense but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of the pool. The yard is lovely although lots of no seeums which kept biting. It was a great home to stay in with our large family for a week. Because it’s run by a management company don’t expect any or the extra little niceties that rental homes often have. There was no coffee provided and the kitchen items were basic but very functional. They had major small appliances like a toaster and crock pot and the washer and dryer were on the newer side. Lighting in the master bathroom Is really dim and there is no outside light illuminating it. The upstairs bathrooms and rooms are definitely showing their age but I can’t reiterate enough that the home was very CLEAN which to me is worth it over a home with newer renovation. We would definitely stay here again. The sitting rooms were extremely comfortable as were the porches. We have stayed in a lot of rental homes on Hilton head and this one was the furthest from the beach just because the costs have gone up so much. Even though we had a 10+ minute walk to the beach being on the lagoon and being able to keep our kayaks on the deck was a nice added feature of this home.

Exceptional property!

Everyone had a GREAT and RELAXING time, which was the goal for the week. The property was perfect, with great views, amenities and activities!

There were a couple things wrong - missing light bulbs and a broken toilet seat - which we addressed and were fixed immediately. Also there was confusion with the car pass I prepurchased which was frustrating upon arrival but Brandi was very professional and straightened it out.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time! We were disappointed in the lack of information left about the house. ( Ex: how to work the TV’s, where to find the lights for the pool, directions for the washer/dryer etc). We were also unhappy with the condition of the pool, being that we are pool owners. When we arrived, the pool was full of sand and the sides and steps of the pool were slimy. We called the office and they said they would send a maintainer guy over, but no one ever came. We physically drove to the front office and once again said the would send some one, but no one ever came. We got this house bc if the pool, but we ended up not using it. We loved the convenience of the amenities. We rented 5 bikes for the week, went kayaking, and went to the beach daily. We loved Dunes Beach Bar.

Beach Stay-cation

Location was great, quiet neighborhood, the home was definitely up to our expectations, great bike ride to the beach. This was our second visit and we would go back again.
