Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I spent a week at Wendover Dunes atPalmetto Dunes. It was a great relaxing place to stay. It was a brief walk to to ocean but close enough that you will not notice that it wasn’t oceanfront. It was surrounded by trees, so it still had the feel of home near the mountains.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was well equipped.Very clean. One complaint was the size of the main television- way to small for a Condo of this size. When AC filters needed to be changed we were called on our home phone. Never received the message. Cell phone was listed. I don't like people in when I'm not notified. After I complained then the pest control shows up! Owners d ownstairs left their dog dirt in bags outside of their door.

Great trip but condo needed cleaned and aired out

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time in Hilton Head itself. Our condo floors were filthy, as going barefoot turned your feet black. Not sure how clean the place was. We made sure we always had something on our feet. Also the place had a musty smell that got on all our clothes which required washing everything, when we returned home. Wasn't as nice or clean as our condo last year.

This was our second stay at the condo and after our first stay, we noticed you could not walk, barefoot or with socks because your feet would be black from being dirty. So for our second stay I asked that the floors be impeccably clean. They were better the second time around. I also had asked for our second stay that the unit would be dusted behind and under the bed. It was still extremely dusty. There’s also could be some common condiments available to the renters. Not even a salt or pepper shaker. The washing machine seemed to struggle. Otherwise a nice condo.

Reviewer Comments: THE GOOD Quick access to the beach path and pool Newer refrigerator, dishwasher, and stoveTHE BAD Coffee table leg in the living room is broken. So the table wobbles. One of the ceiling fire sprinklers appears to be falling out of the housing The tv's are small by todays standards, especially the one in the living room Bedding is old Mattresses and box springs should be encased to mitigate bed bug infestations A light bulb in the dining room fixture was burned out. Not a big deal, but shouldn't this be noticed by housekeeping?THE UGLY The bathrooms are in desperate need of being updated. The shower, mirror, cabinetry and countertops are old and look beaten up. Some mold is noticed in the showers. Very unappealing. Something is seriously wrong with the electric outlets in both bedrooms. Plugs do not stay plugged in. I wonder if this is a safety hazard and should be reported as a possible code violation. The furniture in the screened-in porch is horrible. That porch should be welcoming and inviting. Instead, it is an ugly extension of the condo because the table and chairs on it are old and scratched up. And the mildewy box fan in the corner adds to the eyesore.GRADE Factoring in the money I spent on this unit, I give it a "D", Am I inclined to stay in it again? No. Am I inclined to rent from Palmetto Dunes again? No. People want to get good value for their money. This condo did not provide that.

The 2nd piece of feedback would be the bathrooms need an update...specifically the showers. The water pressure was not great, the hot water was spotty, and it's showing wear & tear. Other than that a lovely condo!!!

The Wendover Dunes complex is tucked away and a nicely kept secret. Plenty of room for us with two couples for the week. Great to have covered parking under the building. The pictures do not do justice to this condo. It has been updated. The condo is right next to the beach access trail, so about a 3 minute walk to the beach. The beach in this area is never crowded. Wonderful private pool area with plenty of shades spots, if your not a sun worshiper, and plenty of sun spots if you are. We will be rebooking for sure!

I had two issues: 1) on arrival the floors looked clean, but actually were sandy/gritty and 2) the air conditioner slowly declined in its ability to cool the rooms over the week so that by the last night it didn’t really cool the air. Nice Rental at a Great Location

They provided the old school ice trays, but for a rental like this, you should get the icemaker fixed.

Location excellent however home needed repairs and was not cleaned properly

Sink had a leak and there was a few inches of water under it as well as a lot of black, white and green mold. Ceiling in bathroom peeling. Furniture showed excessive wear and tear. Mold in shower. Sheets were old and wearing through. Pool was great! Our customer service rep did get the sink repaired that day and was extremely helpful. They tried to relocate our family however since it was 4th of July, there weren’t many options. We were credited one day for the inconvenience.
