Shipyard Oceanfront Resort 2 Bedroom 2.5 Bathroom Villa which includes 3 premier golf courses for a golf vacation, Van de Meer Tennis for the tennis player, Shipyard Beach Club and the Sonesta Hotel. Shipyard has it all for your perfect beach vacation



Stay within Shipyard Plantation ocean front resort in a 2 Bedroom 2.5 Bathroom villa with 2 master bedrooms and private baths overlooking the golf course, one of Hilton Head's premier gated communities. This roomy private end unit villa has the space for your group to relax. It sleeps 6 with a king in the master bedroom, a queen in the second bedroom, and a pull out sofa on the first floor. There is a new king bed, queen bed, and new comfortable living room furniture. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and entertaining. There is a half bath on the first floor, a washer and dryer, and a private entrance with a courtyard. Enjoy some quiet time overlooking the golf course from the back patio. The back patio features a gas grill.



There are plenty of walking/jogging and riding paths throughout the resorts. If you are looking for a golf or tennis outing, look no further. Shipmaster has a private pool just a short walk away. The private beach entrance is an easy bike or car ride away. Shipyard is located in the best area of Hilton Head, close to restaurants, shopping at Coligny, new Celebration Park and South Forest Beach.



Bike paths are all over the island. Rentals are available and can range from bikes, kayaks, beach coolers, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, paddle boards, anything that is needed for the ideal vacation. You can also hop on the free Island Trolley to get around.

Other Things to Note:

The complex at Shipmaster is located just half a mile (a 10-12-minute walk) from the beach access at Shipyard Beach Club. Guests of the Shipmaster complex enjoy an unassigned community parking lot, an on-site tennis court, and a community pool that are exclusive to owners and guests. The pool is not heated and is open seasonally from April until October.

Nice layout. Very comfortable for 2. We are older and stairs are getting tough, but its worth having so much room downstairs. like the location at end looking to golf course,Coffee machine timer not working, tubs/shower upstairs are very slippery. glad for handle and gripping the top of shower door. Very enjoyable.

Our stay at Shipmaster was great. We usually go to HHI every year, this being our 6th visit. Check in and communication was excellent. The property was very clean and as described. The only issue we had was the place is a little dated. Which is not terrible. Everything was clean and functional. I had a great stay and would recommend it.

Great Family but a couple bad things

Great, however older property. Washing machine flooded even with instructions to use on medium. Couldnt access (figure out) normal tv, only a streaming service worth of reruns were offered (Roku) Condensation falling into stovetop and kitchen door, and outside trash cans had not been emptied prior to our arrival. The property mgmt did act on the trash issue rather quickly.

Shipyard is a great place to stay. The owner allows you to check in when the unit is ready for instead of a set time-really appreciate that!! Mattress in smaller room needs to be replaced. Other than that great place to stay

Very cute little condo and a very nice community. Great for the price. The upstairs bigger bedroom stays very hot. So it was a little uncomfortable to sleep but the other bedroom upstairs stayed a little cooler. Very easy to communicate with very nice stay

Great rental!

The rental was clean and beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the host communicated very quickly. Our only complaint is that we had to pick our the gate tags at the other end of the island, when the could have been called in right at the gate, saving 40 minutes of driving.

Relaxed and Refreshed

My friend and I decided to take a trip this year to HH as a chance to disconnect from work, read books, and relax. The townhouse itself is a little outdated but honestly it was really cozy. The only issue we found is the front bedroom at the top of the stairs did not have decent air flow, while the rear bedroom was comfortable and cool. That did cause some sleeping discomfort - we did check to ensure the vents were open and tried keeping the door closed vs open. The bathroom for that room was cool but the bedroom wasn't. You could even feel the temperature change walking up the stairs and down the hallway. Besides the air flow issues in the front bedroom the townhouse was sufficient for us and suited our needs especially with the kitchen being stocked and having various amenities we didn't end up using (washer/dryer/beach items in the closet, etc).

Family Wedding

We were in Hilton Head for a family wedding. We requested an earlier check in time on Friday due to rehearsal dinner but unfortunately that was not available. The unit itself was clean and comfortable. It is a bit of a walk to the beach and pool.

A little misleading...

On VRBO pics it looks like the path to the each is near the Condo....this is not a beachfront property....a little misleading when checking out properties to stay at. The accommodations were omfortable. Thank you.

Summer vacation

The condo was very roomy and comfortable having all the things we needed for our stay. The beach is further away than I anticipated,but we ended up driving and finding parking each day. All in all it was a great stay!
