Something for everyone- private pool on the water and pool table!

This fantastic home has something to offer everyone with its four bedrooms and four bathrooms, private pool and spa. The kitchen is large and features ample storage and prep space, stainless steel appliances, island cooktop and bar seating for two. The breakfast nook seats four in addition to the formal dining room which seats eight. The main living area has several comfortable seating options along with an HDTV. The second living area provides additional seating with a couch and a couple chairs. The primary suite is very large and boasts a king bed, HDTV and updated en-suite primary bathroom. The updated primary bathroom contains a new double-sink vanity and an incredible custom-tiled walk-in shower. The second bedroom has two twin beds, HDTV and en-suite Jack and Jill guest bathroom. This updated guest bathroom features a custom-tiled tub and shower combination. The third guest bedroom which connects to this Jack and Jill bathroom, has a king bed with HDTV. The fourth guest bedroom has a queen bed, HDTV and en-suite guest bathroom with a wonderfully updated custom-tiled walk-in shower. Above the garage is a bonus room with Daybed, Pool Table and HDTV! The bonus room has its own full bath which contains a walk-in shower. Enjoy your own private pool and spa with several lounging and outdoor dining options! The views in the backyard from your private pool and spa, outdoor dining and hammock are of one of the beautiful lakes in our award winning Resort.

The spa and pool can be heated (June 1st - October 1st) for an additional fee.

This project, undertaken by Hilton Head Island/Beaufort County, is vital for protecting the shoreline, maintaining a wide and beautiful beach for everyone to enjoy, and ensuring the long-term health of the coastal ecosystem.

Wonderful Spot for Family or Friends

This house was exceptionally clean when we arrived. There is a large open space (great room) with several conversation areas, which is perfect for large gatherings of family or friends. And to top it off, it is located in Palmetto Dunes - one of my favorite areas on the island.

Wonderful host, house and location!

The house and location was fantastic, amenities were great and we felt right at home and relaxed with the fully furnished house/kitchen. Meal prepping was easy with lots of utensils and plenty of kitchen space. House layout was spacious and the AC was a delight when coming inside to cool off. We spent lots of time in the pool and BBQing- everything was turn key, no issues and Bill was a fantastic host with quick and helpful replies! 10 out of 10, we would gladly return!

Beautiful retreat

Beautiful home in a quiet cul de sac within a gated community. The house has a terrific pool and hot tub in the backyard and overlooks a small lake. It is also well-stocked for entertaining with plenty of platters, silverware and dishes for a full house of people. The host emailed me pre-arrival with all kinds of useful info and was really helpful throughout the entire process. The only (minor) inconvenience was an added $25 fee per car to get the community car pass. As we went to the house, the gate sent us back to the community center to buy the pass, but it’s handled through a drive thru and was pretty painless. We LOVED this place and would definitely stay here again!

Paradise

The property and owners were amazing. Everything was perfect and just as described. Easy 10 min walk to the beach, great pool/spa for the iffy/lazy days. Beautiful quiet neighborhood. Kids rode bikes to the general store almost everyday. Plenty of room in the house for everyone to spread out or be together depending on our moods. House had everything we needed/expected. We knew exactly what we would need and what was provided upfront so there were no surprises. Stores were close by for necessities. Plenty of food options. Our only issues were weather, mosquitoes and poor planning ahead of time. I wished we had booked a couple of restaurants in advance but we wanted a more relaxed vibe but we had no issues ordering to go. Owners were so easy to communicate with and answered any and all questions we had. Even kept us informed of island events while we were there! Highly recommend! If I could give more that 5 stars I would. Thank you for a wonderful vacation for 2 families, ages 5-40.

Excellent family vacation

The house was spacious and the floor plan worked well for our extended family. The kitchen was well stocked and organized. We really enjoyed having a private home within walking distance to the beach. The pool and hot tub were perfect for our whole family to enjoy swimming and relaxing in the backyard. Epic win!!

Good, Better, Best, Beyond Best!

Anyone looking at the photos of this property are more than likely to be a WOW! Then when you arrive and set foot onto the property and into the house, your response will be way beyond WOW!! The photos are beautiful, but we soon discovered that the house and property exceeded the beauty of the photos themselves. There were 10 of us - my two daughters, their husbands, 5 grandchildren ranging from 6 through 16, and of course, myself. To say the week was terrific is an understatement. Bill and Susan are so accommodating because they want you to have a wonderful week, and if you need some assistance, they are always ready to accommodate. There is not enough time nor space to express in words just how much we all enjoyed our week. All I can say is that nobody was ready to leave. As a family, we have had the chance to vacation together at a number of exciting places, but by far this ranks at the top of the list. I know you all will love your stay there as well. Perfect Family Oasis

We enjoyed a wonderful week at 1 Upwind thanks to the meticulous care and preparation of our VRBO homeowners, the Moser Family. Their home is absolutely beautiful and the setting on a quiet road with a lagoon in the backyard gave our family both fun and relaxation in a private setting with all the fun of Hilton Head Island just a few blocks or a few miles away. We would highly recommend staying at 1 Upwind.

Birthday and Engagement weekend!

Our group stayed from Wed-Sun and had a great time at this home! Bill was in touch months into advance to make the check in/out process as simple as possible. He also has plenty of recommendations for local HHI stuff. The location on the Palmetto Dune resort was fantastic. Close to the beach, private pool, and a backyard that backs up to a small lake. We used The pool and spa fire pit area every day/night, a little back oasis in the lowlands! It was a beautiful setting for a surprise birthday/engagement weekend with 8 adults. Would highly recommend. Plenty of options for food nearby as well as lots of running and bike paths. This property and location will be a part of the memories of this weekend for many years. Thank you Bill and Susan!

Wow! Excellent Mini vacation

This house is amazing. We had a mini vacation with 2 other couples and had tons of fun in Palmetto Dunes. The house is very clean and furnished beautifully. The kitchen had every tool, plate and pan we needed. We loved the out door spa and pool. Bill, our host planned for visitors with notes and pictures that made our stay very enjoyable without the need to call for anything. Palmetto dunes is very close to the beach with great choices for grocery stores. Bikes are available for rental with an abundance of pickle ball courts. Check-in was a breeze and leaving was just as easy. We have stayed in many VRBO's, this one is a keeper. Thanks Bill!

Great property - great owner

Owner was super detail oriented in both communications and onsite, they literally had everything labeled and documented, it was super easy to gain entry and utilize everything at the property. We had a group of guys on a golf trip and every course was within 5 miles. Hot tub and pool were great, bonus Pool Room was cool. Everything was great and highly recommend.

Happy in Palmetto Dunes

We loved this property. It is in a beautiful neighborhood. We enjoyed biking the neighborhood and to the beach (took about 5 minutes to closest beach path). The property is impeccably maintained by the owners who are very responsive. Beautiful finishings. We loved spending every evening in the hot tub and playing pool in the upstairs rec room.

Like a resort!

Our family had a wonderful week! This was our 4th time visiting Hilton Head, twice at a resort, once in Sea Pines at a Vrbo and then here. This property was very close to the resort experience with all the comfort of home. First, the cleanliness of the property on entering was like nothing I’d seen before. Not one random hair or fingerprint .... I’m a stickler about that stuff and was seriously impressed by the cleaning job. From there, the floor plan of the home is perfect, plenty of recreation space for everyone, all the rooms are large and beautifully updated bathrooms for all. The kitchen is well stocked with anything we needed and lots of plates and cups so we never ran out. The outdoor space was the real gem. The pool and hot tub are the perfect size and the view from the deck and poolside is beautiful. We spent our days relaxing out there and enjoying the view and sound of the spa waterfall. Plus, while relaxing on the hammock at the shoreline we got to see gators, turtles, and other wildlife. Walking around P. Dunes was easy from here and the beach walk is under 15mins. We had one small issue with the hot tub but it didn’t negatively impact our stay at all and Bill was super responsive to it. The week was pure enjoyment !
