( no fishing in the lagoons) Large second level screened in porch with overhead fans and a large screen tv overlooking the water. Perfect spot for a reading retreat, relaxation and family gatherings. Books available. Five min bike ride to the beach. ( courtesy bikes and beach chairs included) 15 to 18 walk or 4 min car ride. Beach shuttle is also available for small fee. A true paradise for golf or biking on endless bike trails including the unique ability to cycle on the beach the entire length of the island. ( no E-bikes permitted in Shipyard or other vacation resorts) Complimentary bikes with beach trailer are included. Sleeps 8 with king bed in main room, queen in guest-room, and 2 twin beds in 2nd guest-room. Newer couches and queen sleeper sofa. All rooms have smart TV’s. with Roku tv. There is covered parking on the concrete lower level. Three car limit per stay.

Large flat screen TV in living room. Screened in back porch overlooks the peaceful lagoon and also has a flat screen TV. ( A great spot for freshly brewed morning coffee)Wi-Fi throughout entire house. Washer and dryer are available with iron and ironing board. For small children, a pack-and-play is available. Board games, jigsaw puzzles, cards and a stereo available. Towels, and all linens are provided.
Outdoor New Weber Genesis propane grill and grilling area with table and chairs provided.

Recently updated Kitchen features electric stove, double oven, microwave, new dishwasher and garbage disposal. Quartz countertops, tiled backsplash and all new flooring. Silverware, flatware, pots and pans wine glasses are stocked and ready for use. Refrigerator and freezer with ice-maker. Blender, toaster, Keurig, and Mr Coffee are provided.

We were very happy w/this rental. Perfect for our family. Beautiful area, yard. Home is well maintained recently updated. Lots of extras like neighborhood pool, washer/dryer, bikes, chairs, beach toys. Covered parking to keep car shaded. We enjoyed the convenient location as well.

A wonderful week spent at this amazing house. The house was clean, comfortable (especially the beds!), with everything you could possible need. The screened porch was a favourite for us all, every night spent listening to the wildlife. The kids loved the bikes, and even went on a last sunrise bike ride to the beach. This house was the icing on the cake of a fabulous week on HHI.
Our very first day, a gator swam up to the house and lay next to the ‘Beware of the Gator’ sign. 😂

What a wonderful place to stay. Updates in the kitchen and bathroom were much appreciated. Even more loved were the bikes available— we biked daily to the beach with ease (all sizes! From kid size to adult size).It rained the first 2 days of our stay, however due to the covered patio we didn’t mind at all. At least 7 places to sit outside.We would definitely stay here again. We previously had stayed close by in a condo, but the house gave us privacy we enjoyed. Beach towels are even included with this property— we have stayed many years in shipyard and never had these included. I highly recommend this house from John and Betsy.

Our experience with this vacation house was completely satisfactory. From the first time I contacted the owner, he was prompt in his response and his discription of the property was very accurate. His instructions for checkin was very complete. There were no surprises. The house and property was well maintained, attractive, and very clean. It was also nicely furnished. The bicycles and beach chairs were plentiful and in good condition. We spent a good deal of time on the screened in porch and deck and used the nice .gas grill. Would definitely rent again when going back to HHI. Have been there many times and this house made it one of our most enjoyable trips.

This house is one of the best on the island! Great location, everything you need is close at hand, the layout is perfect and everything was immaculate when we arrived! Having bikes included with the property was a huge plus for getting to the beach and back and it is a smooth, easy ride. There is space for everyone to gather inside and out and all the furniture, including the beds, were sturdy and comfortable. The community pool is within an easy walk and the community is quiet and secluded. Absolutely a perfect vacation home!

Our family loves everything about this house! This was our second stay, and we would def come back again! It has everything you need to enjoy your time on HHI. We especially love the bikes and that there is one for all of us, no hassle or expense renting, and just a quick ride to the beach. By far our favorite amenity is the screened in porch. We had some stormy days and it was so relaxing to just hang out on the porch and watch the wildlife and listen to the rain. The ONLY suggestion I have is the cushions on the loveseat on the porch are kind of thin, upgrading to some thicker, more substantial cushions would be wonderful! Thank you!

Winter Getaway

We have been coming to Hilton Head in the winter for quite a few years. Having stayed at a few different VRBO locations in Shipyard this house is our favorite. The screened in back porch is a great extension to the living space and offers hours of bird and turtle watching. The host was very responsive to questions and generously let us use his bicycles. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, glassware, and utensils. All appliances worked well. A great place to getaway any time of the year.

House was as described

The House was absolutely as described. I would suggest that the owner post the rules of the Shipyard Community. E-bikes and fishing Are Not Allowed. Our vacations are planned around riding our e-bikes and fishing, so that was a buzz kill.

Hilton Head Vacation Oct 2024

Our party of six traveled to Hilton Head Island SC from Wisconsin. Two had never been before. We were very fortunate that that Hurrican Milton stayed south of us and we only had a few showers and wind. Our accommodations were excellent and we greatly enjoyed the week.

Family vacation

We loved the property and location. The screened in porch overflow the lagoon was a highlight of our visit. We were able to stay through Hurricane Debbie without feeling apprehensive or worried due to the raised height of the house.

New Favorite Place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found some of our favorite times were meals spent on the AWESOME screened in porch with its lovely lagoon views. Lots of baby alligator sightings. Beach is walkable and a leisurely pace takes about 18 minutes. Bike-able in 5 minutes. having the bikes available without the hassle and expense of renting them was great! All the beach toys were available including beach towels! When we head back to Hilton Head this will be where we stay. Thanks John, for sharing your beautiful home with my family!

The best vacation

We stayed for just over a week in this lovely blue home away from home. Having been to Hilton Head and stayed in Shipyard multiple times, this is the first time we have stayed in Kingston Cove and it has been our favorite! The house is beautifully decorated, so well equipped (we used the selection of beach chairs and bikes almost everyday) and was the perfect size accommodation for the 5 of us. Highlight was the patio swing and watching the alligators go by! Thanks so much for allowing us to use your beautiful home and if you’re ever in the market for selling, we’d be first in line!

Girls Trip

Wonderful Property

We thoroughly enjoyed this property. The home was stacked with everything we could need. The screen porch was great and we used it for hours every day. The kitchen was fully stocked and didn't leave us needing anything for cooking/preparing meals. The added extras contributed to the enjoyment of our stay!!
