The Space:

Palmetto Dunes has a way of slowing everything down - the salt-tinged breeze off the lagoon, the rustling palms, the unhurried rhythm of a community built around the outdoors. This second-floor end unit at St. Andrews Common puts you right in the middle of it, with a private wrap-around deck that opens to sweeping views of the lagoon and golf course from both the living area and the primary bedroom.

 

The space

Soaring ceilings and expansive windows draw natural light deep into the open-concept great room, giving the living area an airy, relaxed feel. Being an end unit adds an extra layer of quiet - fewer shared walls, more privacy, and a sense of space that sets this villa apart from standard interior units. The deck wraps generously around the corner of the unit, giving you room to spread out, catch the morning light, or wind down in the evening with the lagoon stretched out below.

 

Sleeping arrangements

The villa sleeps up to 5 guests across two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 features a king bed, while Bedroom 2 is set up with a queen bed and a single bed - a flexible layout that works well for families or small groups. Both bedrooms are furnished with bed linens, and the unit comes fully stocked with towels, essentials, and all the basics you need to settle in without a trip to the store.

 

Kitchen and dining

The kitchen is fully equipped for home-cooked meals, with a refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and a full set of dishes and silverware. Cooking basics - pots, pans, oil, salt and pepper - are already on hand. A dining table rounds out the space for sit-down meals before a day out on the island.

 

In-unit comforts

A washer and dryer are available in the unit, along with air conditioning, heating, an iron, hangers, and a dedicated workspace for anyone working remotely. The TV, Wifi, private entrance, and self check-in via smart lock round out a setup that keeps things easy from arrival to departure.

 

Resort and surroundings

As a guest at Palmetto Dunes, you have resort access that opens up the full range of what this oceanfront community offers - private beach access, three championship golf courses, 26 tennis courts, an 11-mile lagoon system ideal for canoeing and kayaking, and bike rentals for getting around at your own pace. The community pool, with its multi-level sun decks and clubhouse, is available for your use. The Dunes Buggy on-demand transportation service runs mid-March through mid-September, providing courtesy rides throughout Palmetto Dunes, Leamington, and Shelter Cove on a first-come, first-serve basis.

 

Please note

Palmetto Dunes is a gated community in which every vehicle must have a gate pass for entry. One gate pass is included with your reservation at the time of booking. If you require additional passes, please request the exact number needed to ensure they are prepared in advance. Each pass has a fee of $45. All gate passes must be picked up at the host2coast office prior to entry.



Dog Friendly - 2 dog max. $300 non-refundable fee for first dog, with an additional $150 for each extra dog. Dogs are not permitted on the furniture and must be crated if left alone. Please do not leave furry friends alone outside, as we have wildlife that they should not encounter.



Free access to The Dunes Buggy transportation which provides courtesy transportation within Palmetto Dunes, Leamington, and Shelter Cove mid-March through mid-September. This on-demand service dispatches vehicles on a first-come, first-serve basis!

Palmetto Dunes is an oceanfront resort and the ultimate vacation destination. An 11-mile lagoon provides a leisurely day of canoeing or kayaking. Golf, tennis, biking & more! This is a gated community.



Getting Around:

Biking is very popular on Hilton Head Island, known for the many award-winning trails. There are recommendations for bike rental companies within your Guest App. You can reserve in advance and they will deliver to you or bring your own! Almost everything you will need is within walking distance, so bring your walking shoes! There are free trolley stops at various locations throughout the island.



Palmetto Dunes Buggy Service

Free shuttle service. The Palmetto Dunes Buggy service provides complimentary transportation within the Palmetto Dunes Resort and Shelter Cove Harbor. Don't worry about renting a car or spending money on getting to and from all the amenities and things to do at Palmetto Dunes.



The shuttle service will take you to the beach, golf courses, restaurants, shops, and tennis courts at Palmetto Dunes. It will also bring you to Shelter Cove Harbour, Towne Center, and the Plaza. This area is bustling and offers plenty of activities and things to do just off-site.



The Palmetto Dunes Buggy service is available seasonally from April to September. Each van is dispatched on a first-come, first serve basis by request. Typically vans arrive within 10 minutes of a call.
