Bring your group to this Ocean Cove condo for a beach vacation. This two-bedroom retreat has access to a shared pool. A private balcony on the second floor provides a quiet spot to relax, and the condo complex is home to a peaceful lagoon.

Ocean Cove is along the Palmetto Dunes waterway of Hilton Head Island, SC. The beach is across the street, and guests can walk to a boat landing, the shops and restaurants of the Marriott Beach and Golf Resort, and the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center where they can enjoy a free hour of play. The condo complex offers a lagoon with shared docks, a swimming pool, and a children's pool.

When you return from the beach, you'll find a convenient outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand. Inside, you can relax in front of the living room's 40-inch flatscreen television with DVD player or a TV in either of the two bedrooms. In addition to the upstairs balcony, there is also a small deck with a sitting area at the front of the house.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Whole family loved condo. Place was clean and bright. Loved the fully stocked and upgraded kitchen. Location to beach and pool were fantastic. Would definitely stay at this unit again. Flooring was all tile and wood so made keeping it clean so easy. Short walk to tennis and general store.

Location

We have stayed at Ocean Cove for many years, location is perfect. This unit was very clean, comfortable but few things to update it, fix dishwasher racks, need to be replaced. Happy there was a hair dryer, add that to the posting. This is great for families who need condo close to beach.

May 2023 HH Vacation- disappointed

We have stayed at this unit in the past. Although it was dated we loved to location and easy access to the beach so gave it another try. We were VERY disappointed this trip. The unit had an extremely musty smell when we walked in. The walls, carpet and furniture were all stained. Black mold in the lower shower and glass door had a thick film on it. Interior of Dishwasher was covered in mold and smelled bad. Clothes washer dispenser also had mold in and behind tray. Sinks and bathroom drains did not smell great. Dryer filled with lint. We did not want to even eat or wash clothes there. So spent way more than planned eating out and had to drag dirty clothes home. Outside furniture and patio dirty film from frees, leaves and sticks all over it. Took awhile to clean first day . Called for mold removal. Did not show 1st day but after 2nd call they did. This unit needs a major update and cleaning. Would not recommend renting unit unless this is confirmed.

Needs a makeover

Location is great but this unit, apart from the kitchen, is looking worn. All the soft furnishings looked dirty and the bedroom carpet was badly stained. Bathroom lights worked some of the time, downstairs bathroom sink didn’t drain well, and the whole place was constantly damp even with the AC.

Perfect location in Palmetto Dunes!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo in Palmetto Dunes. We have been coming to Hilton Head for decades and have stayed in Ocean Cove in the past, but first time in this unit. It was clean, updated, had comfortable beds and everything we needed. Pathway to the beach is right outside the front door. We loved bring able to bring our dog. Outdoor shower and hose were perfect for cleaning sandy kids and dog after fun at the beach :)

Great location, needs a little TLC

This property met our needs of dog friendly and location. You can’t beat walking out to front door right to the beach access. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, blender, etc. Because it is pet friendly the carpets are stained and look older so I am hoping they will be replaced soon. Pros: Location, pet friendly, the kitchen, outside shower, patio, quiet. Cons: carpets and furniture need replaced, electrical sockets need replaced as when you plugged in they would fall out, mattresses not super comfy. We will stay here again and hope to see some updates when we do.

Needs to improve

First the good news, it is a perfect location and any problems we had were taken care of right away. Second the bad news, this unit was so dirty when we arrived we had to clean every surface before we did anything else. Additionally, most of the wall plugs were so loose that we had to stretched our plug prongs outward and that didn't work half the time. The bedspreads were worn and the bedskirts were missing or ripped. The outdoor shower head fell off, as well. We've rented through VRBO for years and have never had a property that was dirty and this unit stated they cleaned using covid protocols, which is impossible considering all the dirt we saw throughout this property. I would not recommend renting this property to anyone.

Great location, but unit needs attention.

Loved the location - close to beach and golf courses, but unit needs updating. Except for master bath shower, both bathrooms need new fixtures. Repainting would be very helpful. Beds were comfortable but lacking decent bedding, had no bed skirts or they were torn. Some of the furniture upstairs (like side tables) was cheap and/or worn out. Did appreciate good flat screen in LR.

Proximity to the beach is what makes this unit. The dishwasher needs to be replaced or serviced . The carpets need to be cleaned and the unit needs some decor updates .

Perfect location

Location is perfect in Palmetto Dunes. Literally 2 minute access to beach and 5 minute walk to bike rental and general store. Short bike ride to Shelter Cove Harbor and many amazing restaurants and shops within 10 minute drive. Beautiful nature and very peaceful area. Property was perfect for a family and pet. Check-in and checkout process very simple. Recommended

Love Hilton Head mainly because of Palmetto Dunes

Great location. Easy access to the beach. Palmetto dunes is a very nice plantation in Hilton head. Great beach pub right on the beach Within walking distance. The only negative is the cleanliness of the condo.

Great location. Great unit. Layout makes the most of the space. Super close to the beach.

Great weekend as always. Palmetto Dunes is the premier island location. A gas grill would be a good addition to the unit.

Great location!

Townhouse had everything we needed, a family of 4 plus a dog. The access to the beach is right in front of the unit, so we were able to leave chairs on the beach and come home and eat. Kitchen is very specious with plenty of empty cabinets for groceries (for those of us that hate cluttered countertops). Unit is bright and open, larger than it looks in pics, bedrooms are large, bathrooms are remodeled. We loved that it had an outdoor shower and a hose to wash off sand before coming in the house...plus lots of buckets, showels and two chairs. We have older kids, but great for little ones. The only recommendation I have for the owners is to shampoo the carpets more often since it seems some pet owners were too lazy to train their pets. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location

Great location for beach activities.. but the condo had issues. Master bath sink had a constant leak, moths inside, bedspread in master was seriously gross( we threw aside) table in FR had glass missing.... tried emailing Mgt company but got no reply. All that said, the kitchen And FR very nice and bedrooms large. But it’s all about the beach location.
