The Space:

Tucked inside the gates of Sea Pines, one of Hilton Head Island's most celebrated communities, 49 Governors Rd is a beautifully renovated three-bedroom, two-bath coastal home that brings together relaxed island living and thoughtful, stylish interiors. Ancient oaks line the streets, bike paths wind through pine forests, and the trolley stop is just a short walk away - this is Sea Pines living at its most effortless.

 

Living space

Step inside and the home opens up into a bright, welcoming living area anchored by a plush sectional beneath soaring cathedral ceilings. Elegant lighting sets a warm, easy atmosphere, and the decorative fireplace adds character to the room - please note that for safety reasons, the fireplace is not available for guest use. The open layout flows naturally between the living area, dining space, and kitchen, making the home feel both airy and connected.

 

Kitchen and dining

The kitchen has been fully updated and is well-equipped for everything from quick breakfasts to longer evening meals. Quartz countertops, a farmhouse sink, and stainless steel appliances set the tone, while a center island doubles as the natural gathering point of the home. A coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and all the cooking essentials are on hand, with a full dining table nearby for shared meals.

 

Sleeping arrangements

The home sleeps up to eight guests across three bedrooms and a sleeper sofa. Two bedrooms each feature a king bed, while the third has a queen bed. The primary suite includes private deck access - a quiet way to start the morning - along with an en suite bathroom featuring a double vanity and a walk-in shower with dual and rainfall heads. The second full bathroom mirrors that comfort with a double vanity and a tub and shower combination that includes both rainfall and handheld options.

 

Outdoor living

The spacious deck is a true extension of the home, surrounded by Lowcountry greenery and set up with a six-person seating area and a gas grill. Whether it is a family cookout, a slow morning with coffee, or an evening settling in as the light fades through the pines, this outdoor space delivers.

 

Location

Sea Pines is a gated community and one of Hilton Head Island's premier destinations for a reason. From the front door, the Sea Pines Trolley stop is walkable, making beach access easy and car-free. Bike the trails that curl through pine forests and salt marshes toward Harbour Town, with its iconic lighthouse, waterfront dining, and boutique shops. Within the community, guests have access to three championship golf courses, tennis courts, an equestrian center, and a 605-acre forest preserve. Resort access is included with your stay.

Sea Pines is a gated community - every vehicle requires a gate pass for entry. One gate pass is included with your reservation at booking. Additional passes are available at $35 each and must be requested in advance. All gate passes must be collected from the host2coast office before entry.

The garage is not available for guest use.

Due to safety concerns, the fireplace is not available for guest use.

Getting Around:

Biking is very popular on Hilton Head Island, known for the many award-winning trails. There are recommendations for bike rental companies within your Guest App. You can reserve in advance and they will deliver to you or bring your own! Almost everything you will need is within walking distance, so bring your walking shoes! Sea Pines provides a complimentary seasonal trolley service that helps guests and residents travel around the resort without using a car. The trolley connects major destinations such as Harbour Town, the Sea Pines Beach Club, South Beach Marina, and The Shops at Sea Pines Center, making it easy to access beaches, dining, and shopping throughout the community.
