Location is great. You can walk to Salty Dog. Price is good. There are a couple things that make this “okay”:1. The AC in the place is inadequate. It’s warm in the house. They give you two box fans. They don’t do much but make a ton of noise.2. Place needs an update. TVs are tiny and low quality. They keep the place somewhat clean, but it is definitely old and needs a renovation.3. There is a cost to get into the sea Pines neighborhood. We got in around 9 PM went to the front gate and they wanted to charge us nine dollars to get in or 30 for the week. This was not communicated at all through VRBO. We messaged the management company and they really didn’t get back to us. I ended up going to the sea Pines front desk and they gave me a pass to get in which she said she wasn’t supposed to do because our name wasn’t on the list. I reached out the next day to see if it could be taken care of and got no response. Plan on paying nine dollars to 30 to get access to the place that you’re renting unless this is a one off and they just didn’t communicate well to us. They told us to go to the management companies office which was 4 miles away from the gate. This is something that should’ve been taken care of or communicated before the trip.If you’re looking for an inexpensive place, that is close to salty dog this place will work. Unless they fix the AC, I would not recommend in the summer. It’s fine, but if you’re expecting something nice, you will be disappointed.

This place is hot in the summer time. If you're a cold sleeper like me (75 or colder), then this is not the place for you. The unit is dated and has no ceiling fans or any overhead lights throughout the entire unit. They did give us a couple of box fans which will make you feel like you're sitting on the runway at MCAS. One of the toilets was rocking and should be re-bolted to the floor to prevent a future disaster to the unit below (hint hint). Keep in mind that use of the pool is not included in your rental fee for this unit. The unit was clean but you can tell its in desperate need of some love and attention to make it a nice place to stay at the beach. Advice for renters: keep looking.

The room served it's purpose but was not notably wonderful.

The room was clean. It was warm and not in a good way. Some things were in disrepair but worked some of the time. Left a review with Vacasa listing things that needed attention. I would not want to stay in this particular room again.

Will definitely book again.

My daughter and her friend, both 20 y.o. and I stayed for a few days during spring break. The property was as described and looked just like the pictures. The property is located in Sea Pines resort- a gated community. I don't recall reading this anywhere, but I may have missed where you're supposed to check in at Vacasa first off Pope Ave. to get your gate passes first. The people at the gate went ahead and let me in, but tried to get me to pay for parking first. Thank God I didn't because parking was indeed free. It's a about an 8-10 minute drive to the condo from the gate due to speed limits and resort activity. The property was beautiful. The walk to the beach was actually about 5 minutes but worth it. When you leave the building, walk straight out, pass the bikes sitting to the right and make a left between the two other buildings, walk across the street and down to the beach path. The trash bin is out the building and to the right in a tan structure. The number to call for assistance is on the wall in the kitchen and the property manager is most helpful. There's a Publix close by and our favorite, One Hot Mama's BBQ is close to the other gate. Be SURE to visit Sea Shack for good, cheap seafood. There are gators on the property, but don't bother them and they won't bother you! We can't wait to visit again!

Vacation blues

The unit was not at all the way it was described. Furniture was old outdated, stained, air conditioning not working properly, had to go buy a fan for the main bedroom. The vent in the master bath was so heavily coated with paint, you could hardly open it, the patio blinds were not working properly, the shelves in the freezer were rusty, the toilet in the hall bathroom had not been cleaned properly…it smelled like pee, the shower walls in the master bathroom had not been cleaned and had soap heavy soap scum, the leg on the coffee table was broken. Horrible paint job, could use a good paint job, by professional painters the shower tiles in the master bathroom was cracked.This unit needs a serious update. I would not recommend this unit.

Beautiful!

We rented this location so we could be near family staying on Lands End and it was perfect! Great location, beautiful decor, clean, fabulous balcony, comfortable queen-sized bed. This is our second year staying in this condo and we were very happy yet again!

Needs many improvements!

Needs ceiling fans in master bedroom. Needs silverware to accommodate at least 6 people. Needs upgraded linens in master bedroom— bed linens looked dingy (off white). This unit needs a little decorative love overall. Loved the new living room furniture (replaced the multi-colored striped stuff in photos). The chair in the master bedroom was filthy!

It was great until the dryer stopped working Thursday. We called, no one came out till Friday to look at it and it was never fixed. Very frustrating on a beach vaca where this appliance is a necessity!

Loved this place! Beautiful balcony! Perfect for walking to The Salty Dog and biking to Harbourtown. We had family staying on Lands End and the walk was perfect! Highly recommend!!

Great location in South Beach! Bike rentals, restaurants, shops, boat rentals, and the beach all within walking distance. The kitchen, bathrooms, and bedding were clean however the property could use some updating. And, there was no hair dryer in either bathroom.

Nice place, plenty of room.

Overall everything was fine here. We did have an issue with the showers when we first arrived. The master started working shortly after fidgeting with it, but the guest shower never fully worked properly. Since it was just two adults it wasn't a big deal, but if I'd had my kids as well, it would have been a deal breaker. Overall it was a decent experience.

RENTER BEWARE

The pool pictured in the listing is not included in the rental. This is False Advertisement. I contacted the property company, Vacasa, the day we arrived and did not get a solution until after we had been there for 3 of our 5 night stay. At that point, it was not an acceptable solution for us to pay for access to another pool and be reimbursed. That should have been offered the next day, and it would have been fine. We arrived at check-in at 4 pm and didn't get access until 6 pm. The unit was not clean at the point we received access to the property. The floors were dirty, the sheets on one of the twin beds were dirty, and the balcony was not cleaned. There is mold in the bathroom above the mirror. In both bathrooms, the vents have leaking condensation. Outside the unit, the roof is leaking and water leaks back into the unit by the dryer. All the beds, have extremely firm mattresses. The master bedroom headboard is loose and shakes every time you turn over. The A/C works good in the main part of the unit, but if you shut the bedroom doors it is extremely hot. So, you have to sleep with the doors open so no privacy. The plumbing is old per the sign in the kitchen you cannot use the garbage disposal except for very small crumbs. The sinks in the bathrooms drain very slow. The unit needs a remodel and the picture of the pool should be removed from the listing as it is FALSE ADVERTISMENT. At this point, we have been offered no compensation for the issues from Vacasa, so I don't recommend this property or any of their other properties. Regarding the beach access, it is a 3 - 4 minute walk to the Sound Beach access. If you prefer the full Atlantic Ocean experience with less river silt it is a .5 mile walk up the beach.

Great location. Top floor unit. Everything you need for a short trip. The only negatives were the front door is very hard to open, almost have to shove, and the shower heads leave a bit to be desired.

Weekend Getaway

Location was perfect for quiet getaway. Headboard a little unsteady in MBR and shower knobs were hard to pull out. Definitely could use update to shower heads. Floors seemed a little dusty but overall nice unit. Also recommend having living furniture professionally cleaned. Convenient walk to beach and a few island restaurants.

This condo is located in the South Beach Marina area (you can see it from the front of condo thru the trees) with shopping, restaurants and water sports. The beach is within easy walking distance with dolphin's every evening at sunset. Location and condo were perfect for a girls weekend.

So disappointed

This rental is an embarrassment to the Wyndham brand. Besides the fact that the inside needs to be completely renovated, there were a multitude of other issues. There isn’t cable which proves difficult when you have 2 small children. The tv in the master bedroom did not work at all and there wasn’t one at all in the 2nd bedroom. The dryer was broken and I was relying on that to wash my daughters pj’s and such. The air conditioner did not work properly and the dish washer was also broken! I had to spend an entire day of vacation waiting on the maintenance guy to come and try to fix all of these things to no avail. Do NOT rent this condo, you will be extremely disappointed!

Hilton Head Value Option

For the money, this rental has all of the basics. Definitely roomy enough for a family of four with all of the amenities of Sea Pines. Very clean. Beach Villas are quiet and cozy which we like. Decor was cute and beachy. Some constructive feedback includes: master bed needs a new mattress and the headboard is detached from the bed and flops around some, WiFi streams very slowly making the Roku frustrating to use (lack of cable is frustrating in general). Cartoons for kids on vacation is a must in order to get a few things done. All in all, we had a wonderful time in Hilton Head (always do) and will continue to choose Sea Pines for our stay on future trips. Thank you for giving us a place to call home for the week.

Good condo for the right price

Overall, very good. We generally stay at another condo in the Bluff Villas but was able to save ~$200 by staying in this condo instead. It's not as nice and the shower water smelled like sulfur the first day but was fine afterwards. The kitchen is also a little beat up. But overall, had a great experience - especially since this was just a home base for visiting family and enjoying Sea Pines.
