Welcome to your coastal retreat in the heart of Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort on Hilton Head Island! This beautifully appointed 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom townhome offers the perfect blend of indoor comfort and outdoor tranquility, ideally situated just steps from beach access and the Huntington Community Pool.

Set alongside the picturesque 11-mile lagoon system, the open-concept living space is surrounded by windows that flood the home with natural light and showcase stunning water views. The spacious living room features a flat-screen HDTV, wet bar, and plush seating, with direct access to a private deck complete with a propane grill and outdoor dining area perfect for relaxing or entertaining against a peaceful lagoon backdrop.

The formal dining room comfortably seats eight and also overlooks the lagoon, while the fully equipped kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, ample counter space, and bar seating for casual meals. Adjacent is a screened-in porch with conversational lounge seating and an additional dining table, ideal for shaded outdoor meals or enjoying the evening breeze.

The main floor hosts two bedrooms, including the primary suite with a king bed, work desk, access to the screened-in porch, walk-in closet, and spa-like en-suite bathroom featuring a soaking tub, tiled walk-in shower, dual vanities, and built-in shelving. The second main floor bedroom offers two twin beds, a large closet, and access to a nearby full bathroom with a walk-in shower. A laundry area with a full size front loading washer and dryer completes the downstairs layout.

Upstairs, a cozy loft with a sleeper sofa and second work desk serves as a bonus living space. Two additional bedrooms are located on either side: one with a queen size bed, walk-in closet, HDTV, and en-suite bath; the other with two twin beds, large closet, HDTV, and its own en-suite bathroom.

This unique townhome offers multiple outdoor living options, including a private sun deck and a screened-in porch, catering to those who enjoy both sun-filled and shaded environments. Whether you're soaking in the view, dining al fresco, or lounging with a good book, this townhome is designed for relaxation and connection with nature.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the palmetto dunes properties are a great place to vacation. Often, you choose one rental over another using the pictures provided by the rental management. In this case, our rental unit was not as described. The first thing to note was the condition of the carpets. I cannot fathom anyone renting that facility in the condition it is currently in. The carpets in every room were deeply warm and matted with filth. Spots are one thing, but matted in dirt in the traffic areas is another. You could not imagine getting on the carpet to do sone stretches before a walk. I felt like I had to wipe my feet to leave the rental. The cleaning crew did little to help. There were water marked and condiment stains on the kitchen table, used towels left in the closet and crumbs all over the first floor area as if the vacuum was not used after the previous tenants departed. If there was a way to rate this property condition a zero, I would. Avoid 7609 Huntington.

There was an unpleasant odor in it, and the laundry had that bad odor after it has been washed.

Beach, pool and bike path are all easily accessible from this peaceful area of Palmetto Dunes. Property maintenance was helpful, professional and thoughtful when needed for a smoke alarm battery issue at 10:00p.m. I recommend this property and look forward to renting it again in the future.

The community pool was not heated. We could hardly bare to get in. Secondly the a/c units are just outside the front door. Multiple units are housed there, one of the units was very loud. The garbage disposal was inoperable. Very limited utensils and cookware. The grill had not been cleaned.The property description was somewhat misleading as the picture appears to be a single family home. It’s a Villa. The property was well maintained and clean.The check in was very smooth and the lady was super nice! I would recommend this property to others.

Our favorite family vacation spot

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at this property for 20 years. It was nice to see that the bathrooms were updated and there was a new washer and dryer. There were still other things that need work, broken floor tiles that are sharp, sofa bed that needs replacing because it is soooo uncomfortable. Also there was a lot of mold growing on bathroom vent. The management company had it cleaned promptly, but it should have never gotten that bad. Cleaning staff was not on top of things. Also the porch needs to be cleaned a lot better, too many cobwebs and we tend to use it alot.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second year we six gal pals spent a week in Palmetto Dunes. It's a great place to get away and RELAX. Loved every minute. From the photographs, we thought we were renting a stand alone home but were quite surprised to find we had a town home. It was much smaller than we anticipated, however, we still had a lovely property and a good time. The only negative about the home was that we had no teaspoons for eating--only tablespoons. There were plenty of dishes, drink ware, and pots and pans.In addition, we rented bikes which were delivered before we arrived and were ready to ride. Great fun. I highly recommend ordering bicycles in advance. It's the best way to get around the resort.

Perfect location

You will not be disappointed in this property's location. It is steps away from the heated pool and a short walk to the beach access. My only (constructive) criticism would be that they need to add more hooks and towel bars in the master bathroom. There is nowhere to hang wet swimsuits or towels and community rules do not allow towels hung outside. We had a few maintenance issues while there, but the Palmetto Dunes staff took care of them quickly. The microwave turntable was missing and housekeeping brought a new one, but it wasn't exactly the right fit. If the owners see this, you might consider replacing it. Also, the dryer would not dry clothes properly. It would take 3 full (2 hour) cycles to get clothes dry. The lint catcher was always empty, so we reported it to maintenance, thinking it is probably full of lint in the actual outside vent. Again, if the owners are reading this, you might want to address this. It was frustrating for us trying to dry clothes, but we also worry it could be a fire hazard. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The tenants before us left the fridge smelling like bad shrimp (not the management's fault), but the housekeeping staff came to help clean it and left odor absorbing tablets inside. Overall, I would highly recommend this property. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great location but...

The location of this unit is perfect with the pool and beach both close by. When our travel plans were delayed the resort got in touch with us before I could reach them to make arrangements for us to get our keys and check-in materials, which I really appreciated. We also enjoyed a Pickle Ball clinic during our stay in Palmetto Dunes. However, we found this unit in need of some serious TLC. When we got there many light bulbs were burnt out and the garbage can was broken. During our stay the garbage disposal broke, the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was so loud it had to be turned off to sleep, the dryer overheated after 2 loads upon which we discovered the lint screen was damaged beyond repair and after 6 nights our son finally decided to tell us he had had no air conditioning upstairs the entire week. We told them about the light bulbs and they replaced them quickly. The other repairs built up and we were not interested in reporting a new problem every day or having someone in the unit while we were not there. I wrote to Palmetto Dunes when we returned home but got no response. If you are in need of a unit with 4 bedrooms and want one close to a pool and the beach this unit fits the bill, provided the repairs are made.
