Family Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 5 High Rigger. The location is excellent with just a short walk to the beach plus you are within a short drive to almost anywhere in Hilton Head. The house was very clean when we arrived and is very well equipped including a griddle for pancakes! A big plus from the grandkids! We really liked the ease of check-in with the door code versus a key and Sea Turtle Getaways did a great job getting us all the info we needed for a great stay.

Overall great, carpeting needs to be replaced and a few cabinets replaced in the kitchen.

Pool was great, house had a great layout for a beach vacation. Well stocked kitchen supplies, loved it!!!

Fabulous Family Fun!

This is our 2nd time staying in this home. Everyone absolutely loved it! It is close enough to the beach for my 80yr old parents to easily participate in beach fun. Bike rentals made it fun for our teenagers to explore. Quiet enough for all of us to enjoy!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely week in Hilton Head. The proximity to the beach at this property was a game changer. Overall the kitchen was well stocked and the house was the perfect size for our two families. Our onlyIssues were that the rental does not include towels which sent us scrambling and the house could have been cleaner. For the cost of the rental I would have expected towels for the pool and the beach. There were cobwebs in a couple places. The management was very helpful whenever we needed something.

The driveway was difficult to use as it was narrow and hard to navigate out of.Rented chairs and umbrellas from property management and that wasn’t the best service. Equipment went to wrong location. Prop management was great at fixing the issue quickly.

Great Location

The best thing about this house is the location. 3 min walk to the beach! Cleaning crew did a great job- house was very clean. The owners seem to be renovating in stages. Most of the common areas, and some bathrooms, have been nicely renovated. Otherwise, expect some old carpet in the bedrooms, a leaky, smelly garage, exterior work that is overdue, and pool coping that has chunks missing. The management company, Sea Turtle Getaways, Selena and Dakota, were wonderful to work with. They were very responsive before and during our trip. Thank you!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a wonderful visit. We have stayed at this house numerous times. We do plan to stay there again. Housekeeping did not leave as clean as they usually do upon our arrival. The beds may need to be replaced soon. One needs to be careful on the deck during the day it is extremely hot to the point of burning ones feet.

The owners have done several renovations inside and out. It is very nicely done. It was clean and very well outfitted for an extended stay. Nice location and very close to the beach. We have worked with Sea Turtles Getaways for 6 years now. They have always been very responsive when called upon. We will definitely rent this location again.

Additionally, one of the AC units had a hiccup during our stay and the staff at Sea Turtle Getaways arranged a tech to come to the home who stayed after hours until the problem was fixed. I highly recommend the house and would gladly stay in any of the Sea Turtle properties based on the great experience.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Easy access to the beach. Nice pool. House was well stocked and had a very nice floor plan. Great kitchen. Overall, plenty of room all. Parking was a little challenging because of the angle in the driveway and trees on either side. But we managed to get in and out ok. Would have liked to use pool light for kids at night but it may have been disabled for guests because of local laws regarding turtle nesting.

Friendly staff. Our vacation home was very nice overall but had a couple of needed updates. The carpet in the bedrooms was stained and appeared dirty. I’m sure the cleaning staff ran the vacuum but the stains were beyond what would be acceptable looking wear. The outdoor furniture could use an update or refresh, around the pool. The beds were not comfortable. Other than that, the home had been updated and was well equipped for most any kitchen gadget we needed. And it had nice decor and furnishings. The location was awesome and we really enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. Overall, a good stay.
