Location, location, location! Walked to shops, restaurants & grocery store almost every day. Easy, short walk to the beach access right at the end of the street. Beach was calm and beautiful. The house was just right for our family of 5. The pool was big enough for lounging and playing at the same time! We had a great time!

The house is in a great location.Its close to shops and we loved how close it is to the beach. It was big enough for the 6 of us in our family and our grandbaby. The house could use some up-grades in the kitchen appliances. We like to cook on vacation and the stove burners were hard to cook on and not level. The kitchen needs a new stove all together. The dishes to cook with are not the best. There were no big bowls to mix things in and had to use pots and pans for that. The carpets in the house are so hard to walk on and hurt our feet. Having a baby who crawls...its not baby friendly. Those need to be changed. They need to get a new grill. The grill was not clean and had not been cleaned. The light outside on the side deck by the outside bar would not come on so we could not sit out or grill out after dark. The cottage bedrooms smoke detector did not have a battery in it. There was no dresser in the cottage house. We had no where to put our clothes. We had to leave most of our stuff in our luggage. There were only a hand full of hangers for two people. They need to put a small dresser in the over sized closet. They need to do some small changes for the cost of the property. The pool was the best part. Over all. We enjoyed our vacation with our family.

Incredible location, realistic listing

We had a great stay here. The location is incredible and everything - beach, Coligny, PBJ’s, Adventure Park, etc., are easily walkable. Our two boys slept in the twin beds great but the main bed was very uncomfortable. The appliances and furniture are very old and dated so comfort/cleanliness the washer/dishwasher provided were just okay. The disposal did not work and the bathtub drained incredibly slowly so the standing water in both felt very grubby. The convenience items could have been better - for example, we had to buy hand soap. We could overlook these things due to the location and ease it provided but there could have been improvements.

A very good location

This property has a great location close to the beach and Coligny Plaza. It was nice not to have to drive anywhere if we didn’t choose to. The property management group was excellent at communicating and very willing to make a last-minute change to our stay. Thank you for being accommodating. The building itself is a little dated, but I feel the pictures do a fair job showing you what you are getting. I felt I was more than informed based on the listing. I have really two concerns. The first is that the mattresses should be replaced. The second is that the outdoor furniture could be replaced. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would stay again.

Excellent location and outdoor space!

We had a fabulous time staying in this property! The private pool, outdoor space and separate guest house (cottage) were perfect for us and our large family with adult children. Two minute walk to the beach. Two minute walk to Coligy, grocery store and multiple restaurants. The inside of the house was very clean and comfortable. The pool is very large for a private home and the property management company was very responsive. Yes, the outside could benefit from a pressure wash and the outdoor furniture and concrete around the pool aren’t perfect but overall this is a nice property. The only negatives where the lack of kitchen supplies, especially coffee cups and silverware, and lack of clothing storage in the cottage. Also, a shower caddy in the cottage bathroom would be super helpful. These are easy fixes that would make things all bit more enjoyable. It’s not a luxury home by any means but it is certainly comfortable. There is a very high likelihood we will stay at this property again.

Amazing location

We stayed at the property for a friend's wedding in town and it was great to be able to walk to the beach, walk to restaurants and shops, and walk to the wedding. Great pool and hangout in the house as well!

Family vacay

Great location! Walking distance to all the shops/restaurants. Very short distance to ocean. Screened in porch was nice. Pool was great! No pool/beach towels supplied, so bring your own or buy them like we had too.

Easy location

Just can’t beat the convenience of walking to the pool, beach, piggly wiggly, ice cream, cloud 9 THC/CBD, Rollers, big bamboo, The Bank, NYC pizza, and the list goes on. Excellent for keeping teenagers busy, but not out of trouble!

Nice location and pool

The pool sells the property and I had a great week with the family. Unfortunately though, the outside pool area/chairs/surrounding property really needs an overhaul. Everything outside was really dirty. I never received any feedback from the property manager when I complained about construction materials/etc. laying out. We found deck screws on the pool deck.

Annual beach vacation

We rent in the north forest beach location yearly and this was a great house for us. My in laws stayed in the seperate pool house while the family with children stayed in the main house. There was no storage for clothing in the guest house aside from a closet and no shelves in the guest shower, but everything else about the property met our needs.

We enjoyed our week but felt there could be improvements. No place for shampoo and soaps in the shower. No dresser in the cottage Outside around house dirty but Pool area. Beautiful. Rugs in house were hard and uncomfortable. The screen porch dirty. Walk to beach and Cologny perfect.

Amazing Location

I cannot emphasize enough how GREAT the location is. There are many good qualities about the property, however, I would rent this house again solely based on the location. You are not only a very short walk to the beach, you are a minute away from restaurants, coffee shops, beach shops, and a grocery store which makes your stay very convenient. We didn't need to use our car at all. We also loved having the pool which we spent a lot of time in, as well as eating dinner at the outside table. (which seemed new and it was great!) I was a little nervous about the stay after reading some comments, but the property was GREAT. The only thing that I agree with in previous comments is that the deck definitely needs to be redone. The boards are uneven and splintering which cause my parents to trip a couple times. Other than that, the inside of the house is extremely cute and well decorated as well as the cottage. We were very comfortable and made many great memories. I would love to book again.

Location… Location…Location!!

We walked to Coligny every day and to the beach in about 3-4 minutes!! The outdoor shower and pool were great after the beach! The house was cozy and our teenaged son enjoyed his own space in the “pool house”! We had a great time and would definitely go back again! The property is older and could use some repairs like any other property we’ve ever stayed in but, overall it was perfect for the four of us!!

Property managers were VERY helpful and went out of their way to help us with problems,!

Everything was comfortable inside. Outside the furniture is rusted, the boards are popping up, as is the concrete making it dangerous for walking. We love the house but the outside was run down and disappointing.

Wonderful house near beach, shops, restaurants

The location of this house is fantastic… it is a 30 second walk to beach (just four houses away), and a 1/2 block to the dozens of shops and restaurants at Coligny plaza. The pool is huge and the waterfall wonderful! The house and pool house were very clean and comfortable. As stated by previous reviewers (and acknowledged by mgmt) , the exterior of the house, side patio and pool concrete surround are in need of deep cleaning, and repairs. There are missing fence posts, buckled concrete, dirty house exterior and gutters, and most of the patio furniture is in need of replacement. However, we would definitely rent this property again… the pool and location are just fantastic!

Beware

Property needs maintenance. The main house smells of mold , and the cottage is visibly moldy. The air conditioner vents are downright foul. Pool deck is uneven and a tripping hazard. The gutters are moldy and so full of debris I'm surprised they are still attached. Deck needs refreshing, etc. Has lots of potential tial, but needs work. The worst part was being kicked out a day early, but I guess that was an error on the part of Sea Turtle Getaways, not the owner. Regardless, what you are paying for is location, which is very good. Steps to beach, no major road to cross and near the shops.

Stay at Hilton Head

The ac was set on 67 when we arrived. The television was left on in the LR. The house was dirty, especially the floors . The shower liner in the main house was black at the bottom. The pool was filthy when we arrived. The pool service didn’t even clean the pool. The deck had nails sticking up everywhere. There was pine sap on everything out back so you couldn’t sit on the furniture. There were sand bags along the back of the house because of a drain issue and the pine needles were laying on them thick. The concrete around the pool was raised up and split apart.

Amazing pool and location

The house had an outstanding pool that was as big as the house! It had beautiful tiles and a nice fountain water feature. Also the house is literally like a minutes walk to the beach and Coligny Plaza. There were a few maintenance issues with the property and the outdoor furniture was in rough shape. But overall a nice property with an outstanding location.

Location was the one good thing about this pro

Every time I used washing machine it smelled like a propane smell. We believe it was sewer back up smell coming through washer. Also tub didn't drain. I stood in ankle deep water. When I called, mgt team sent young man that i later found out was her son, said to me he smelled but then told her he didn't. He told her i had food all over counters. No place to put groceries, so yes food in containers on counters. Sent a plumber by the time he got there he said he didn't smell but said washer not properly vented and could be smell backing up from pipe to street connection. Old block house that had stucco. He did clean out tub which helped drain. The outside needs a ton of maintenance. Concrete at steps in pool is raised, section of concrete doesn't even touch top of pool as it should. You have to really be careful getting in/out of pool. There's no hand rail on steps in pool. Don't walk on deck w/o shoes! Splinters and nails! Deck was so warped the drain pan on HVAC would not drain. They sent someone to drill hole to get water out. Screened front porch but screens are torn. Kitchen not really equipped. Pans were not something I wanted to use . So if you want to cook your breakfast like I do, bring your own. It was a great location.
