This is a gated community conveniently located in about the middle of Hilton Head Island, surrounded by golf courses and the natural beauty of the island.

THE SPACE

The resort features an on-site heated pool and hot tub, free Wi-Fi and private beach access at Shipyard Beach Club. Activity Center / Clubhouse with a fitness room and game room and BBQ grill stations. Additionally, enjoy Zipline, with two adult bikes included with each villa for cruising the over 50 miles (80 kilometers) of Hilton Head public pathways and 8 miles (13 kilometers) of paths within Shipyard Plantation.

All this provides ample opportunities for getting out and about or just relaxing in Shipyard Plantation.

This 3BR unit features a fully equipped Kitchen with 4 Burner Stove, Oven, Full sized Refrigerator w/freezer, Microwave, Dishwasher, Coffee Maker, etc. There is a Sit Up Bar with spacious open concept living areas, private bedrooms with en-suite baths, and a large Washer / Dryer inside your unit. Each 3BR unit has 2 King Beds, 2 Single Beds, and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa and is designed to sleep eight (8) guests comfortably.

You can walk out on your own deck with excellent lagoon views, and your outdoor space is furnished with a table and chairs.

Close to some great restaurants. Easy day trips to Charleston, Beaufort, and Savannah.

Please note that this listing includes multiple weeks available. The photos reflect the interiors of several different units you might be assigned, depending on which specific week you book. However, these units all have the same basic floorplan (with slight differences), and the general decor and layout is reflected in the photos. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

GUEST ACCESS

This is a boutique resort type property. Guests will have their own private unit, but resort Amenities (Pools, Hot Tub, Gym, Gameroom, etc.) will be shared with other guests.

- Egret Point is professionally managed and operated by Spinnaker Resorts. The S.R. Hotel Front Desk is staffed for Check-In, Check-Out, and is available for any questions, issues, or need for assistance. They are there to help so please don’t hesitate to contact them during your stay.

- 4pm Check In for this property is at the Spinnaker Resorts S.R Hotel Front Desk, which is staffed 24/7. They will give you room keys and information packets for the week.

- Primary Guest checking in must be at least 21 years of age with a valid ID and credit card for security deposit. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this minimum age requirement for the primary Guest who will be checking in. Your security deposit will be returned to you after Check Out if you have not made any charges to your room.

- 3BR units at Egret Point are located in Triplex buildings, with the 3BR units occupying the 2nd and 3rd floors of each building. The Main living area and Master Bedroom is on the 2nd floor of the building, and the 3rd floor is where the additional bedrooms are located. So there are 18 steps to the Entrance of this unit and 16 steps on the stairway from the Main living area to the 2nd level.

- Two FREE parking passes are included with this unit. If you need a parking pass for an additional vehicle you can arrange this directly with the Front Desk for an additional fee.

- Two FREE Bikes are provided with this unit. The keys for the bike locks are inside the laundry room located in your unit.

- Bedding linens, blankets, pillows are provided, as are bath towels. If you need additional items or want fresh bedding linens or towels during your stay, please contact the Front Desk. Although bedding linens, blankets, and pillows are provided, you may want to bring some of your own if you have a favorite pillow or blanket.

- If you plan on using the Sleeper sofa during your stay, I do personally recommend (if possible) bringing sheets, blankets, pillows, maybe even a mattress pad for the Sleeper sofa specifically, which can be turned into a very comfortable extra bed.

- Paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, shampoos, etc are all provided. If you need more during your stay you can contact the Front Desk at the SR Hotel, or you can purchase them locally.

- Utensils, Dishes, and some basic Pots and Pans are provided. If something appears to be missing, you can contact the Front Desk and possibly get it dropped off (if they have it). However, if you plan on cooking a lot of meals inside your unit, or plan any special dishes, I do recommend bringing your favorite Large Frying pan (or Large Sauté Pan, Wok, Crockpot, etc, etc) for cooking. This way you will have something you are comfortable using and you will know exactly how things will cook in it. You may also want to bring your favorite Kitchen knife(s) for food prep.

- Pool towels are provided for free, and they can be exchanged for fresh ones on an unlimited basis. However, if you or your family owns and likes larger beach towels, I recommend bringing them.

- You should bring your own Beach Chairs / Beach Blankets / Umbrellas / Coolers / Equipment you want to use on the beach. If you don’t bring your own stuff, you are able to purchase or rent Beach chairs / Umbrellas on Hilton Head Island.

- There is no daily housekeeping provided. However there is a Washer / Dryer conveniently located inside your unit for your personal use. If additional housekeeping is desired during your stay it is available for an additional fee scheduled directly with the resort Front Desk.

- Beach Access is provided at the Shipyard Plantation Beach Club (near the Sonesta Resort). Beach Parking is free but is First Come / First Serve. There is also an overflow parking lot inside Shipyard Plantation (3-5 minute walk from beach) with a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up at Shipyard Plantation Beach Club.

- You will have access to the Restrooms at Shipyard Beach Club and can be served at the Restaurant / Bar areas. You can also rent beach lockers to use at the Shipyard Beach Club.

- Guests have access to the Spinnaker "sister" properties pools and amenities (Cottages, Carolina Club, Waterside)

- Usage of the Fitness Center / Indoor Pool at SR Hotel available. Only $20 additional per unit for the entire week (this covers your entire groups staying in your unit so it offers a very good value). This $20 fee is payable directly to Spinnaker Resorts at Check In. Fitness Center / Indoor Pool facilities open at 6am from Mon to Fri, and includes showers / changing room.

- You will see wildlife native to South Carolina, including occasional glimpses of alligators that may be lounging in the lagoon areas. So please DO NOT attempt to swim in the lagoons.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

This boot-shaped sea island is truly a paradise nestled along the South Carolina coast. From beautiful 12 miles of beautiful beaches and world-class golf courses, from exceptional restaurants to high-energy water sports, Hilton Head is one of America’s favorite islands because it truly has something for everyone.

Whether you’re here for an extended family vacation or a quick romantic getaway, there are all kinds of events and activities to check out. Spend the day at the beach or explore the island on a nature tour. Visit a museum or an animal farm with a petting zoo and pony rides. Enjoy the laughter at kid’s activities. Dolphin watch or go fishing, kayaking, biking, sailing, or simply lounge around a pool. The options are limitless.

A day trip to Savannah or Beaufort, both a 45-minute drive from Hilton Head, can make a perfect daytrip from HHI.

GETTING AROUND

The best way to get around Hilton Head is by car and bike. Hilton Head is small (only 42 square miles), so you don't need to travel too far to get from one part of the island to the other (it takes about a half-hour by car). And with more than 60 miles of bike-friendly trails that weave through the island, you may find that you won't need your car all that much to begin with. Keep in mind that there is little to no public transportation on the island of Hilton Head. If you're staying at a resort, it will likely offer an area shuttle, otherwise, there's the seasonal Breeze trolley service.

If you're visiting between March and October, you can rely on The Breeze – the island's trolley service. The trolley travels to some of Hilton Head's most visited areas, including Coligny Beach Park and Shelter Cove Harbor. The Breeze is a modest $1 per ride and runs from 1 to 10 p.m. every day except Friday and Saturday, when it operates until midnight. You pay with cash upon boarding or you can prepay with the BreezePass app; cards aren't accepted and drivers don't have change. Trolleys arrive at stops every 30 minutes.

Hilton Head Island Airport (HHH) is the main airport that services Hilton Head. While this is the closest airport to Hilton Head's resorts, it offers a limited flight schedule. Many travelers fly into Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), which sits about 45 miles south of Hilton Head. From there, travelers usually opt to rent a car, hire a taxi or take a ride-hailing service, such as a Lyft or Uber, to get to the island.
