Review house in the hills
Seven of us in for a quick 3 day weekend, for my daughter's wedding. Upon arrival I saw we had made a mistake. Not by booking this house, but not for booking it longer. This house is amazing folks. My family is already planning a trip back to stay longer. Chuck the host was great. Checking super easy. The house was everything advertised and more. Thank you Chuck, I hope to be seeing you soon. Great Stay
This house was beautiful. Everything was perfect! We were utving, the location was great for all of the parks that we wanted to visit. There was plenty of room for parking our trailers (4 of them) There isn't anything I can think of that is negative. Chuck did a great job with everything. We will be back for sure! I would highly recommend this house, thats why I gave it 5 stars for everything!

Beautiful home, beautiful location!
Our week at Chuck's home was fantastic! The house is comfortable, well equipped, and so much fun with the pool table, foosball table, bags, darts and especially the hot tub! We biked 3 days on the Mickleson Trail, which was one of the best rails to trails ride we have had! We highly recommend Dave's World Tours and Shuttle to help you do the sections downhill (mostly anyway.) Seeing Custer State Park and Crazy Horse Monument were also highlights. We would definitely stay at Chuck's house again!

Family week in the Black Hills
Our family had a great week exploring the Black Hills area. This home was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 4 kids. We enjoyed the hot tub, the side by side, and the bikes that were available to use. The bike/walking trail was close by and it was a short walk into town. Our host checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed.

Great house and location
Beautiful house, set up great for a large group, located close to many local attractions. The amenities at the home kept everyone busy and happy. Highly recommend this home to anyone with a party larger than 6, you won't regret renting.

A perfect vacation rental for large families with kids
My group was impressed from the very beginning when greeted by owner Floyd to show us the ins and outs of the property and bonus toys like side by side and bikes. We used the bikes multiple times as the house is right on the mickelson trail. The house is very spacious and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, which we did every morning and night. The downstairs space is a great way to separate the kids as they can disappear for a bit and entertain themselves. The Hot tub is huge and works well. The owner is always available if you need help and truly cares about the quality of his vacation rental. I would stay here again without a doubt.

Hill City Trails
Awesome location in Hill City! Nice quite neighborhood, but extremely close to Hill City & attractions. Our group came for our annual trail riding trip. Host very accommodating with allowing our enclosed trailers to be parked up on another of his properties. Very clean along with everything that might be necessary for a stay! The pool table, hot tub, bikes, and UTV were all nice extras included. We had fun watching the local deer each night & morning! Highly recommend!! Thank you

Beautiful Home
This house has it all! Best location to see all the sights, best views of the sunrise and sunset, amazing space for all. We had a family of 12 staying in this house and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Plenty of space and the kids loved playing in the yard! Closet full of games for all of us to enjoy! Chuck is helpful with all the questions and things that we needed while we were there. We highly recommend this house!

Family Vacation
We stayed with two other families for a week. There were 11 total, six adults and 5 kids age ranged 6 to 12. We had a great time! The location was a perfect distance from all the attractions and the house was a great place to come “home” to after our days adventures. Plenty of space for everyone and the accommodations were wonderful for kids and adults. We highly recommend it!!!!

FANTASTIC HOME and LOCATION!
The "Home in the Hills" is fabulous! Has EVERYTHING that you could want or need! Our two sons and their families joined us from Montana and Colorado for the week and we had a 8-ball tournament, foosball tournament (singles and doubles) and played table games downstairs and watched movies and did a lot of hot tubbing! We had plenty of space to cook and enjoy each other and the house was a great home base for the week for all our adventures! We also enjoyed having bikes and access to the trail and also fishing rods! Floyd is an excellent host and is very helpful whether you need something or need some advice on what to do or where to go!!! We would DEFINITELY visit again and utilize this FABULOUS home!

Black Hills Family Gathering
Chuck was wonderful to work with. Very responsive and checked with us during trip to make sure we had everything we needed! House was very comfortable for my family and my two brother’s family. Hot tub was a wonderful 204 degrees at all times. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes for all of our family meals. 2 washers and dryers such a bonus. Day 1 hiked Black Elk peak up trail #9 down #4. Saw 1 mountain goat and baby by Cathedral Spires. Needles Highway and Mt. Rushmore. Day 2 Took back roads to Spearfish Canyon. Did all 3 waterfalls (great trout fishing at Roughlock). Mt. Goat right off road at last falls. Deadwood was a blast. Must have a beer at Saloon 10. Walk through the cemetery. Day 3 Jewel Cave tour. Brother and wife did 3 hours at Hot Spring spa. 3 guys went trout fishing. I took niece and nephew to Mammoth dig site and drove Wildlife loop. Mammoth is a must do. Saw bison/babies, prairie dogs, donkeys and a herd of elk. So fun!!! Beautiful area. Thank you Chuck for the great stay!!

Perfect Black Hills Family Vacation Home
Everything was as described, we didn't need a thing for our stay, including a fully stocked kitchen with napkins! The hot tub was great even in the cool weather! Comfortable home. Plenty of games, TV's and Rec Room were a huge hit! Central location to all the Black Hills attractions! Highly recommend. Chuck checked in to make sure we were comfortable. Also look for the home next door if you have extended family wanting to stay close together, both owned by Chuck!

Great property for groups
This is a really great property for large families or two families staying together. The house comes with lots of extras so that you can partake of all the things the area has to offer. Hill City is a charming enclave right in the heart of the Black Hills. We enjoyed watching the deer come down the hill in the morning and play tag in the meadow. Host was exceptionally helpful and knowledgable. Plenty of space and comfortable beds.
