Gold Pan Inn Centrally located!! A Perfect Place to Stay!!

Gold Pan Inn is waiting for you!! Our home is wheelchair accessible with no stairs to climb. The comfy living room welcomes you to relax watching TV while the dining room is the perfect place for a couple/family dinner. An open concept allows you to cook in the fully furnished kitchen (dishes, pots & pans, a coffeemaker, a crockpot and a blender) while enjoying a conversation with the rest of your party.
The primary bedroom boasts a king-size bed and en-suite bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed with a full bath directly across the hall. Towels and bedding are all provided…all you need to bring is your clothes, food and personal items.
Our home is situated on Prospect Mountain which gives you a beautiful view of the 1880 Train from the deck while sipping your favorite glass of wine or beer (did we mention there are 5 wineries & 3 breweries to visit in Hill City?) A flat-iron grill is available for your use as is a washer & dryer.
Hill City is centrally located to all the major attractions in the Black Hills. Crazy Horse is only 10 minutes away; Mt. Rushmore is 15 minutes away. Custer State Park beckons with buffalo, elk, pronghorn, prairie dogs, and donkeys. If you are really lucky you will also see the mountain goats and the big horn sheep! You can rent ATV's just outside town or take a trail ride on a great horse!
And, Hill City itself is a fabulous, quaint little town. You can visit unique shops (The Farmer's Daughter), peruse some of the finest art in the Black Hills (there are 4 art galleries), ride the 1880 Train, or come face-to-face with Buffy…the T-Rex! And, of course, the restaurants are amazing!
Also available a couple blocks from our home is the Mickelson Trail where you can ride bikes (rentals available downtown at Rabbit Bicycle), walk, run, or jog. The Trail is 109 miles through the middle of the Black Hills. Gorgeous!!
So come to the Black Hills…stay with us! You will be glad you did!

NOTE: Our maximum number of guests is limited to 4. Reservations will not be accepted at this listing for families with children under the age of 10.

If you have need for parking for more than 1 vehicle please contact us as there is no parking on the street, but there is a lot next door for additional parking for $10/night.

We felt this was one of the best vacation rentals we ever had. The house was spacious. Everything we needed was provided. The view was beautiful. We didn’t feel the pictures did the house justice. It was a beautiful surprise.Working with the host was easy. We met them and they made us feel very welcome. If we come back to this area we would love to rent this house.

I would highly recommend this property. Our stay was wonderful! The house is very clean and has everything needed for a great stay. The owner is very responsive to any questions there may be. The location is great as it is close to the Main Street. We would definitely stay here again!

The property was clean and convenient and even though very close to Hill City (you can see the city views from cabin) we seen plenty of wildlife on the hillside from our cabin, to include mule deer 2 of three days and a flock of merriam turkeys.

This place was so beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed to feel at home. Dennis and Tanya even provided homemade muffins and cookies as a welcome for us. They had water bottles in the fridge for us as well. We met Dennis and Tanya the day we checked in. They were so kind and a genuine smile. They made you feel so comfortable in their rental. We even got the use of a single stall garage to park our bikes during our stay.Their rules book said we didn't need to do any cleaning or stripping of bed linen as they want you to be on vacation, not cleaning, which is so sweet. But we did strip bed linen, took out all garbage, and such as we so appreciated their kindness and generosity that we wanted to give back to them. You will not regret staying at this house. The view from the wonderful back deck looks down on Hill City downtown, has wooded back yard, and is quiet!! Very safe and nice neighborhood.

Great place to stay. The master bedroom was large the second bedroom was small. The unit was clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils. We really loved the view of Hill City from the back deck. Overall a very enjoyable week spent in Hill City.

Great home base

We stayed for several days while visiting surrounding parks. The house was fantastic for our needs. We spent most of our down time sitting on the deck. It has a great view over the town and is nice and shaded. Would definitely stay here again if we're back in the area

Great location!

Very clean, well stocked and decorated house. The location couldn't be better. Close to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Needles Highway, Iron Mountain Road and Wildlife Loop. Devil's Tower and Deadwood just a couple of hours away. Hill City restaurants only a few minutes away. Deer passed by while we were on the deck.Owner lives near by and is quick to respond .

Our family stayed here 10 years ago and with a few updates/ changes it was just as great as we remember it to be. There wasn’t a Custer State Park Pass as mentioned on site. That was a minor inconvenience. We love the cleanliness and location. Krull Market is a short drive if you need groceries.

Great location

The property is in a great location between Rapid City and Custer. It is super quiet, no noise at all. A lot of wildlife surrounding the property right out the windows, was a great place to stay, we will be back again!!!

Perfect Getaway!

We absolutely loved it! It was super clean, gorgeously decorated (just as listed), the bed was very comfortable, the view was wonderful, and I loved the accessibility with my disability. Plus it was close to everything we wanted to see in the Black Hills. We also loved that we didn't have to do dishes or clean before we left which enabled us to enjoy our vacation that much more. (Although we tried to respectfully keep it as clean as possible) The owner was also quick to respond to our questions about check-in, and provided a notebook with everything we needed to know about the property. Thank you so much! We would recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit the Black Hills!

The property was very nice and clean, we thought according to the website and guest book that we were supposed to get a pass for Custer state park that was not there and a few things we had to search for like garbage bags that were not under the sink. We was a beautiful place and we thank you for having us.
