  • Bienvenido a Nestledown -a remanso de paz rodeado de rododendros nativa enclavado entre las montañas de Highlands, Carolina del Norte. Desde el momento que entra en el camino de entrada que se sentirán atraídos por el pintoresco dos dormitorios, dos baños casa con un porche delantero acogedor.

    El plan de piso abierto a la gran sala alienta momentos memorables con la familia, amigos o alguien especial. Tragaluces permiten que el calor natural de la luz del sol de Carolina del Norte para llenar la habitación. Mobiliario confortable y una amplia zona de comedor da a los huéspedes una sensación de hogar lejos del hogar. Acentos de madera añaden encanto rústico a esta casa de montaña. Una chimenea de piedra proporciona calor adicional para las noches frías. Cada dormitorio cuenta con camas de matrimonio con baño privado y se acompaña de un televisor de pantalla plana alimentado por una conexión por satélite.

    El aire limpio de la montaña crujiente se puede disfrutar desde el acogedor porche o estirarse en el amplio deck de dos niveles con vistas al patio arbolado privado. El nivel inferior de la cubierta cuenta con un gran jacuzzi bienvenida a relajar los músculos tensos o simplemente disfrutar de los claros cielos de Carolina del Norte por encima. Si te gusta un poco de música de fondo a su entorno natural, se puede disfrutar de sus CDs entubada a través de un par de altavoces al aire libre. Un frente abierto y el césped lado son perfectos para las actividades al aire libre.

    Si deseas alejarte de la tranquilidad de la casa, sólo tiene unos pocos minutos en coche al centro de la ciudad para disfrutar de Highlands restaurantes de clase mundial y las compras. Alternativamente, cajeros ofrece entretenimiento de alta nivel similar y es casi tan cerca.

Nestledown was a cozy, comfortable, very clean cottage buried in the woods surrounded by rhododendrons. Brian gave us all the info we needed before arriving and answered any questions promptly. The front porch and back deck were perfect places to sit and relax in the beauty of the forest. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a perfect place to rest and unwind.

Beautiful, well kept home. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, and big bathrooms. Very clean. Hosts were lovely and communicative. Well tucked away into the woods yet close to Main St Highlands and a decent distance to Cashiers.

Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Our hosts were easy to communicate with and made sure we had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay in Highlands. Very much appreciated and plan to stay there again on our next visit to the mountains.

Lives up to Its Name!

As we were there for three days of wedding festivities, this home gave us the rest and relaxation at the end of each day! The atmosphere and decor was out of this world! Would definitely stay there again to be able to explore the surroundings!

Cashier’s getaway

We truly enjoyed our stay at Nestledown. We’ve been coming to the area for the last four years and this is our favorite. It’s quiet and well furnished. It’s also close to Cashiers, Highlands and Glenville Lake. The owners are very helpful and accommodating.

Great find in Highlands North Carolina

We have rented all over Highlands while our new home was under construction. This was one of our favorite locations. The communication with the host was superb and we found the home to be exactly as described and extremely clean. We would highly recommend it.

Nestledown

This house has a great layout with two ends suite bedrooms and a large great room. There is a separate laundry room that closes off too! Great for short stays as well as long ones. You will enjoy the location and the quietude of this house. Enjoyed it thoroughly!

Exceeded expectations

Excellent communication from host before trip & during our stay. Absolutely loved the property and the cottage. Pictures don’t do it justice. I felt like Snow White in her enchanted cottage in the forest. Clean, quiet, secluded, easy access to Highlands & Cashiers, equipped with everything we needed for our stay in each room and space. I would recommend this property and stay there again!

Perfect for a family with small children.

This isn’t the first time we’ve rented this house and we keep coming back because it is one level with no scary stairs and it’s the perfect size for us. We have three small children - 2, 4, and 6 - and we love that the driveway is easy to access and the house is one story.

Nature Explorations in Highlands. NC Area

We had a delightful four night stay which met and exceeded our expectations. Brian was a wonderful host. The check-in process was seamless; instructions prior to arrival were thorough and helpful. He ensured all our needs were met, checked in and followed up throughout. The house was clean and comfortable, well-equipped and had everything we needed. Lovely location in a natural setting. We enjoyed meeting some friendly neighbors who showed us where to look for blue fireflies.

Great Time!

We had a great time! The property was as advertised. It is about 5 minutes from downtown Highlands and 15 minutes from "central" Cashiers. It was very convenient to the various hiking trails in the area. The Owner/Property Manager sent detailed directions a few days before we arrived (also called me) which were very helpful. There were plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses, etc and the wifi reception was excellent. We do recommend this property and would stay there again.

PERFECT for small families!

Clean, organized, great location. Easy driveway, nice walk to a really cool store. This is our third or fourth time renting this property and we love it. It’s the perfect size for families. We have three kids - 1, 3, and 5. They shared the second bedroom and bath and it was a great size. It’s one story so there are no fancy (scary) stairs for little kids. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals and the fireplace is a fun bonus for us Floridians. Our favorite house to rent in North Carolina!

A nest near Highlands

The name Nestledown seems to refer to bird nests, for you’ll find bird and nest-themed curios everywhere you look. This is a relatively new house with rustic decor. You’ll appreciate the roominess, cleanliness, and attention to detail throughout. It’s better than the photos online show. This is not a “host-free” property. The host will want to speak to you by phone before you arrive and will text you frequently during your stay.

Comfortable, clean mountain cottage

We enjoyed our stay at Nestledown. Brian provided all the information we needed and texted to be sure we had everything we needed upon arrival. Parking in the driveway is easy and the neighborhood is lovely and safe. The location between Highlands and Cashiers was perfect, but we did spend more time in Highlands which was a very easy drive. The house is clean, nice kitchen that we cooked several meals in and had everything we needed. Morning coffee and evening dinners on the back deck are nice. The trees offer 100% privacy from neighbors. Very quiet. Perfect for a family of four or two couples.
