One bedroom studio on our Private farm

Private 1 bedroom studio on our 70 acre all natural farm. The apartment is in the basement of our house. It has its own private entrance and everything up to 2 people need to enjoy their time in the area. We are located 1 hr from Charlotte, Asheville, and Boone. In addition there is lots to do within minutes of our house. Table rock mountain, Lake Rhodehiss, Lake James, the site of the filming of the hunger games, historic Valdese, Wineries, Local Breweries, hiking in the south mountains, and many more awesome activities. Or just hang out and enjoy our many cows, sheep, chickens, and dogs. During the summer months you will also have access to our families swimming pool. Sit by the pool and enjoy the fire and listening to the many sounds the farm has to offer. Plenty of parking for your boat or camper. We live just upstairs so if you have any questions or problems we can help.

Best of the best!!!

My son and I stayed here for a weekend to explore the fall leaf color. As a former VRBO host and a seasoned traveler, I can confidently say that this was my best stay ever. The studio is about one hour away from Grandfather Mountain and Ashville. We flew into Charlotte, which is also about an hour away. The drive to the property is pretty. The studio is a nicely converted basement and the hosts live onsite. There is a private driveway and entrance to the unit, so guests can have total privacy. (The hosts use a separate driveway leading to their main house.) For those with limited mobility, this place is perfect. Park your car right outside of the unit's entrance. There are no stairs to climb or steep slope to deal with. The hosts were very friendly and responsive to my questions. The unit was spacious, nicely furnished/decorated, and very clean. Most importantly, the entire unit was extremely well stocked. Dan and his wife thought of every possible detail to make guests feel like home, such as Ziploc bags, condiments, office supplies and toiletries. During our stay, we saw two friendly cows and were greeted by a cute big white dog Clifford. I would definitely stay here again if and when I return to the area. I would also try the hosts' farm beef and their restaurant.

Cozy, quiet, apt

We arrived in the dark, not only did the owners have the lights on, but the keypad was open with the keys waiting for us. From the moment we walked into the apt., it had a warm inviting aroma. It is creatively decorated with cute "farm" items. It had all the items that you need for your stay. Hubby and I felt very welcomed to stay in this apt. Very quiet, cozy and comfortable. It was a perfect place to stay as we were looking for houses to move down that way in the near future. Thank you so very much!!

Lovely, Comfortable, Convenient to Hickory

My husband and I recently stayed in this lovely apartment in order to visit with my parents who recently moved into an assisted living facility in Hickory. We found a comfortable bed, spacious and clean apartment, wonderful host, and sweet Clifford, the dog. We will be recommending this apartment to our family to use for their visits to Hickory. Thank you for sharing such a gem.

What a great experience. The communication was top notch, clean studio space, clear directions, and cozy environment. Added bonus: I forgot my phone charger the first night and the host let me borrow his! What a life saver. That’s the kind of hospitality and care I look for when booking. I will definitely be back.

What a wonderful escape

My husband and I loved it. The room was very clean and had all of the convenient we needed. We loved how quiet it was and seeing all of the animals. The owners were very informative and the check in process was very easy. Would highly recommend and will stay again

A Little Piece of Heaven

Great place to relax in a private country setting. Lots of thoughtful touches with everything you will need to feel at home. Lots of space to relax inside as well as a sitting area outside with a grill. Very thoughtful owners. Loved their friendly dog, Clifford, who greeted us each time we returned.

Great being on the Farm

Wonderful apartment on the farm

We had such a wonderful time staying on the farm. The apartment was very comfortable and exactly what we needed. We enjoyed the peaceful evenings and seeing the cows. Daniel is a great host, extremely accommodating. I made a mistake on my original reservation and he worked with me to help make everything right. Would definitely stay here again.
