Angels Envy: Secluded Blowing Rock cabin with views, hot tub, ping pong

Angel's Envy is a beautiful log home just 5 miles from the heart of downtown Blowing Rock with long-range views of the Blue Ridge mountains, including Grandfather, Hawksbill, and Calloway Peak. This secluded and extremely private home sits on 10 acres surrounded by Pisgah National Forest and is only minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and all that the High Country has to offer. With two full levels and a loft, there is room for your group of 12 to spread out and enjoy the mountains. The main level has a living room with fantastic views, a gas log fireplace, and large leather sectional. Enjoy your favorite streaming services on the 65" 4K Smart TV and soundbar. The kitchen has plenty of space for multiple chefs. Enjoy the granite counters, new gas range and microwave, and bar seating for two. The homeowner has provided both a Keurig and a standard coffee pot, so bring your favorites and start the day off right! Dining is available just off of the kitchen with a beautiful handmade live edge table for eight, and a bistro table in the living room that seats an additional three and is the perfect spot for your morning coffee or snack. Lastly, a brand-new HVAC system and high-speed internet were installed in spring of 2022!

The king suite is located off of the dining area, with brand new (Jan 2023) king-sized luxury mattress, a private TV, and a private bath with a deep tub/shower combination for soaking and a double vanity. Two additional bedrooms (one king, one queen) are on the opposite side of the main level, with a shared full tub/shower bath with granite counters in the hallway between them. Upstairs is a loft with a gathering area. A sofa and two chairs give comfortable seating to hang out. There is a desk in the loft, should you need to bring along any school or work while you travel. All three TVs in this home offer smart streaming services!

On the lower level, you'll find a large, wraparound room. To one side is the game center with a ping pong table and futon. On the other side is the media center, with seating, a large TV with Roku, and a Wii game system (some games provided, but BYO favorites). Board games and puzzles are also provided. Two bedrooms are on the lower level. There is a queen bedroom and a bunk room with a Twin over Full bunk and an additional Twin bed. The lower level has a full, shared bath with a shower and granite counters. The lower level has a laundry center with exterior access and a second fridge for guests' use.

Outside on the main deck, there are chairs and a dining table to enjoy the view, along with a gas grill. On the lower deck/patio, there is a large hot tub to soak under the stars and take in the sunset over Grandfather Mountain. The lower area also has a screened in porch with comfortable seating and long-range views.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: Due to the home's location, tucked away on the side of a mountain ridge, AWD or 4WD is required year-round. The last mile to the house is a single lane gravel road and the property has a steep gravel driveway with several switchbacks. In times of snow or ice, a very capable vehicle will be needed to access the home. Before arrival, guests will be sent explicit directions on how to find the house and tips on navigating the road and driveway.

PROPERTY RULES: Due to neighborhood restrictions, the following are not permitted: motorcycles, ATVs, RVs, trailers, fireworks, drones, firearms or large unauthorized gatherings (parties of more than 12 people and/or more than 4 vehicles).

Notes:

CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
Internet is provided by satellite (Starlink) with speeds range from 20-100 Mbps, good for streaming (Netflix, Hulu, etc) and video conferencing (Zoom)
The homeowner occasionally has pets in the home, but it is not pet friendly to rentals. Thank you for not bringing pets to this home.
Ten steps are necessary to access the main level from the parking area.
Owner monitors the driveway of the home with security camera, but interior and hot tub/deck area is not monitored.
